Description of Work: Lowes is absolutely the worst company to get windows installed by. I contracted 7 windows for installation. The company made windows too thick, they had to be reordered but the Lowes tried to get me to use them. I was successful after a few months to get them to reorder. Then I couldn't get the installation people to install them. After one year, I fired the installers and went outside to get the windows installed by another contractor. Lowes does not have a person to coordinate the installation. Lowes has their money since you have to take a Lowes credit card out and make payments. So there is no incentive on their part to get your project installed. You have to coordinate your own installation. In the end they gave me back the money for the installation so I could pay my contractor. Then because I used my own contractor to install that now negatively affects my warranty on the windows. In Reflection: I should have paid more money and went with a window contractor to begin with.

Description of Work: Lowe's supplies all my cleaning products for my custodial business. I am confident that if a product doesn't work, I can carry it back to store for an exchange or a refund w/o questioning. Customer service in the store is great! Lowe's is my go to store for mop heads, mop handles & cleansers.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. They helped me with determining exactly what I needed. What made it great was the way they worked with me, to make sure that I had what I needed. They fit my budget, showed me all the different options, explained it, and left the decision to me. They didn't just try to ram something down my throat; they just put it out there, made recommendations and asked me which one I wanted. I got some of the best and I thought it was reasonably priced for what it was. The quality was wonderful. There was a delay but the contractor had got sick, he had to go to the hospital and that was not his fault.
Description of Work: I used Lowe's to install some windows at the back of the house.

+ -1 moreWe ordered several stepping stones , sand, and lumber. It was supposed to be delivered the next day. At 9 o'clock PM we received a phone call that they could not deliver it because I track had broken down. So we set it up for the following Friday. We waited all day for the delivery and it never came. They finally delivered it the next day. By then we had wasted two days waiting on them that we could have been Working on our project. Communication was pretty nonexistent. I had to keep calling them to find out what was going on. I will say though that they did refund the delivery charge because of the delay.
Description of Work: We had several Hundred steppingstones As well as sand and lumber delivered for a patio project.

Description of Work: Found a display vanity cabinet out-of-carton; manager was able to discount the item-- saving me time and money over item as a special order. Manager was excellent-- loaded item onto my truck, no problem. I shop at this Lowe's regularly-- good service.

+ -1 moreI purchased light bulbs, a thirty six inch step ladder, some mulch and a blower. They prices are better the home depot and not as low as that at wall mart, but I like there quality better. Their punctual and the staff will come and ask me if I need help, especially if I have been standing in the line for too long. I rate them highly. I will continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: I use Lowe's for hardware stores. I shop there about six times a month. The last time I was there was on Monday.

+ -1 moreBy 6 PM we just decided they weren't going to come-out today. Finally, at 6:50 PM a little blue older mini-van drives onto our well-groomed front lawn, and parks. Three people exit the vehicle; 2 males and 1 female. Most notable was the driver; extremely thin and sickly looking eyes that were so red that I question his soberness. The female approaches me with a clipboard and a computer-generated paper with our name on it. She informs me they are representing Lowe's and here to measure the roof. I asked the driver where they had been, that it was almost dark, and that they were scheduled for 4 PM. He appeared confused and looked to the female. It was then I discovered that the female was the only individual of the three that spoke English. I told her it was too late, that they had missed their appointment time, didn't have the courtesy to even call me. I told her I wanted the three of them to leave and not return.
Description of Work: Roofing estimate on house and garage to be performed at 4 PM. No one showed-up or even called to notify us.
