Central Mississippi Home Inspections LLC

Don was referred to me by my realtor as the home inspector they always use. I set an appointment with him to inspect a home I had made an offer on. He did not return my calls, but instead texted me. I never actually spoke to him, he only ever texted me even when I called him and left voicemails. Still, because we were on a deadline and he was the best price I booked him for the inspection.Coincidentally I found several issues prior to the inspection that made me withdraw my offer without needing the inspection. I contacted him immediately and said that I was withdrawing the offer and would need to cancel. He was very rude to me and said that I should have given more notice. I told him (via text, again he never actually returned a call I made to him) that the issues had just come to my attention and I let him know as soon as I knew. Then, after the inspection was canceled he authorized my debit card for the $350. Because I was not expecting the charge, it caused my account to overdraw. I called him immediately asking if he had authorized my account because this was the only $350 charge I knew of and my bank could not tell me what it was for. He never returned my call, instead he sent me an email a couple days later saying he did not think that my account had been authorized but he did not know for sure. He advised that I log into the website and try canceling the charge from there. I did so, but there was nothing scheduled because it had been canceled! Eventually, the authorization dropped off my account but not before it had caused my account to overdraw and resulted in charges for that as well as my time with the bank and quite a bit of inconvenience. He never apologized for this happening or for his rudeness. I told my realtor that I would never consider working with him again because of his attitude and how unprofessional and rude he is. When I found the next house I made an offer on, I went with another home inspector and had absolutely no problems. I would not recommend Don at Central MS Home Inspections to anyone!
