I was very pleased with the job they did and felt the cost was reasonable for what they did. Very happy with their service and I will definitely use again in the near future.

I was extremely pleased throughout my experience. They were very professional through the entire experience (especially compared to the other companies from whom I got estimates). From the initial phone call to cleaning up after themselves, I could not be more pleased! At the estimate walk through, the employee took time with me, listened, explained things well and gave me a hard copy, detailed quote for my review.* Once I made the decision to use them, he continued to touch base with me by phone and keep me updated on their schedule. And, they were actually able to work me in much earlier than he originally quoted! They even took some extra limbs in our yard at no extra cost, and he called after the job was over to make sure I was pleased. It was a great experience all around. *I would also like to note for other female customers, I felt they treated me very professionally and never "talked down" to me or told me to "discuss it with my husband" etc. Very professional.

Excellent. Very professional. Came promptly to give an estimate. Scheduled me and kept me informed of any delays due to weather. They were very careful with their work. Cleaned up afterward. Even removed a large limb off of our fence at no charge. Will use again if opportunity arises.

Wow! Fantastic work! Beyond impressed. Ken knows trees and knows customer service. There were about six men on the job on time and all very professional with very professional equipment, they even had to deal with my grumpy disgruntled neighbor and did so with class. Highly recommend!

The first time was good but we didn't know until a few weeks later the wood fence panels had not been put back as they should . Now when the wind blows the panels almost fall down. As I stated above having a hard time getting them back out to cut another tree down. I guess they just don't want to fix the fence !

The crew showed up on time, were very through and professional in their work. It was good value for the work performed. The crew cleaned branches and debris and raked the yard when finished. We did have to wait two weeks to get on their schedule, but that was known up front.

It took several weeks to get an appointment because they were booked. When the work was done it was as described. They cleaned up and removed all trash and debris. The work was completed in one day -- and it was a challenging job because of the location of the tree and the size of the tree. Compared to the previous tree service which did a poor job of trimming the tree leaving the problem to fester, this crew was very professional, understood the problem and made the correct assessment. I will use them again if needed.

It went absolutely EXCELLENT!! From first contact to final service I have nothing but Positive comments. My main point of contact, "Ken", gave me a very specific quote of exactly what they were going to do to match what I wanted done. He specifically listed everything in our contract quote that we'd agreed on, and gave me an exact price. He explained that they were on a backlog, and wanted to be clear there would be a delay before they could get to my job, to make sure I was agreeable.. He contacted me the weekend prior to let me know I was up next and made sure that I would be available. He also gave me the exact times they would be there. We agreed on 7:30am. The first truck was actually there EARLY. The entire crew immediately got to work working on two of the trees at the same time. I think the first tree was down in like 20 minutes. I had another oak that was tangled in power lines that a neighbor was highly concerned about, and they took it down carefully with no problems, and removed the stump and running roots. They also cleared up a number of limbs from a huge oak I have that was hanging over my roof and hanging over into the street where it would be hit by buses, trash collection , etc. They also removed an older stump from a previous removal. Their cleanup was excellent, both yards and the street. Ken also gave me suggestions on how to deal with the stump areas and what to do if they became un-leveled. We did a walk around to verify I was happy with all the work . The workers I actually communicated with were completely professional and friendly , and I was very happy with the entire experience. I highly recommend their services.

I recently had a dead tree removed along with some dead limbs on other trees. My wife and I are totally satisfied with their service. They cut the tree and cleaned everything up and blew the driveway off too. I had a trailer full of limbs I had parked in my drive. They even unloaded the trailer and hauled those limbs too at no extra charge. Thanks to Ken and his crew ! Job well done. I strongly recommend Big John's for your tree work.

Everything went very well with him. He told me it would be four to six weeks before they can do the work. He was extremely personable and friendly and easy to deal with. I wanted some advice on one of the trees and he gave it to me. Everything seemed to work just fine with him. So far, I like their willingness to deal with you and they're very pleasant to work with. If it takes them longer than four to six weeks to do it, I might have a different answer. But we've had a lot of weather issues here, so I know that they're busy with downed trees and stuff like that. If he tells me it's going to take that long, I believe him. He was very responsive to any requests.

Great ! they came very quickly to give an estimate, and I didn't have to pay until the check came from the insurance company. Would definitely use them again.

We got a few quotes from other companies before deciding to go with Big John's. While other companies gave blanket estimates for cost and scribbled down a total on paper, Big John's was the most professional in giving their quote. They walked around the yard and wrote detailed descriptions on a form and itemized a list of recommended work they could do (we have several large trees on our lot with out of control and far-reaching limbs). Each issue on the list was individually priced for our perusal and decision making, we were then able to choose from the list which projects we wanted them to complete (if any, or all). We felt in control of how much we wanted to spend this way and did not feel cheated. He also provided us with proof of insurance and forewarned us to check other companies we were getting quotes from to make sure their insurance is current as well. When the crew came to complete the job, they appeared to have very well-maintained and professional equipment. I was impressed by all the machinery they had. The job was done quickly, safely, and very much to our satisfaction. We will be calling them again to perform the other projects on our list.

They did a great job! They cut down a huge oak tree in our back yard. Also grinded some stumps. They did it one day and cleaned up everything very well. Very nice people. Would use again if needed.

These guys did a great job. Got a solid estimate after a visit to the house and they did a great job on my trees. Clean-up was amazing -- it was hard to tell they were even there. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was very pleased with the quality, personal service and price of the services. All the men who came on the crew were very friendly and eager to get it right. This is a great service!

We had a fairly large pine tree in our front yard that had been dead for some time. Ken came out to give an estimate on short notice. He was very courteous and even gave us a 10% discount when I mentioned their website and that I researched them on Angie's List. Due to inclement weather it took them two days later to come out, but they were very nice and professional. They were also very efficient and had the tree down, stump ground, and area cleaned in less than an hour. I was very impressed!

Wonderful response from the sales guy Ken, he was great. It took several months for them to actually come back out and perform the work. The project consisted of the removal and stump grinding of 11 trees. This was performed well. Debris cleanup was well done. I was told that they would put boards on my grass to prevent tearing it up, as much as possible, but this did not happen. There was a lot of "scuffs" and tire wear in the grass. They also left a great deal of marks on my driveway. Was not happy with that at all...but they did offer to come pressure wash the driveway. I would rather have not had to deal with it period though. Overall, a decent job.

This was a great first experience with tree trimmers. Big John's staff did a great job with giving me a timely estimate and trimming the tree. The whole process was painless. I highly recommend Big John's.

They were very efficient. We had to wait 6 weeks, but our work was not an emergency. Cleaned up great after trimming trees. Even raked yard and blew off roof. We did receive a senior citizen discount. Could not be more pleased with their work. Price is high, but they had all the equipment to do the job. When considering price of job, I don't think they were unreasonable because they have to pay for their equipment.

I needed a professional to take down a large pear tree and a river birch that had been planted within a few feet of my home when the house was first built 15 years ago. I called Big John's because of the positive reviews on this site. Ken returned my call the next day and delivered a proposed contract by that evening. I called back the following week with a couple of questions. We decided not to include stump grinding because of the underground utilities that ran close to the trees and Ken adjusted the price. That same week they returned and took down the trees. They did a great job of cleaning up the debris and avoiding damage to the shrubs and smaller trees in the same bed. I highly recommend them.

I cannot praise the team of Big John's Tree Service enough. From the initial call until the completion of work, this company was efficient and professional. With the preliminary assessment of service, I was given an honest assessment of what needed to be done with each of the trees that I wanted modified. The surveyor educated me regarding what each tree was and its growing pattern. At the end of the consultation, I was given a detailed list of all the things we discussed as far as tree management along with a price. The day of service, the group re-assessed the work to be performed; completed all of the items on the preliminary estimate, and hauled away ALL the debris. I will definitely used them again in the maintenance of my home and recommend them to anyone who desires professional work with a friendly attitude.

Excellent experience. Ken called me back immediately and came out the next day to do the estimate. The estimate was 30% less than Northeast tree service. They were pretty busy so it took a little over a month to get the work done, but it was worth the wait. They showed up at 7:30 AM when they said they would with a full crew and lots of machinery. They did a fabulous job in making all my trees look great! They cleaned everything up with no mess left over. This is definitely the best tree work company in this area!

We had a tree fall due to a storm in our backyard, we called and they were out the next day removing the debris.
