He said he knew what the problem was and he would order the part and return in 7 days to address it. He never returned. After the 7 days had passed, I started calling and leaving messages questioning when he would return to replace the part. HE NEVER CALLED BACK. The Lowes EPP representatives tried to call him on multiple days. Lowe's closed the case and issued me a refund so I could purchase a new one because MBA would never answer their calls/messages or mine when he didn't show up, and I had been without a refrigerator for over 3 weeks. Because he is a Lowe's repair contractor, Lowe's scheduled him to come to my home. Lowe's then called me on October 18th because MBA was calling them to re-open the case. Lowe's said they would also file a complaint about his poor service. Sadly, I filed a BBB complaint against MBA in 2015 for lack of service on a Lowe's scheduled repair request. He came once, but refused to show up again to address the issue I was still experiencing, and when I finally reached him on the phone, he told me he wasn't coming back to my house because Lowe's wasn't going to pay him to fix something that wasn't broken. He was so rude, he came close to cursing me out. When I called Lowe's back to report the 2015 incident, they found someone else to come out who immediately found 2 recalled parts that weren't working on my appliance the MBA guy said "wasn't broken". When my refrigerator broke this time, I didn't have a choice except MBA because they were the only Lowe's approved repair person in our area. Because I was desperate, I hoped the situation would be different. Buyer beware.
Description of Work: I had a horrible experience with Major Brand Appliance. The repairman came out to my home on Sept 28th to look at my refrigerator because he is a contractor through Lowe's Extended Protection Plan program.

first he knocked on the door not ringing the doorbell and demanded to my girlfreind why she didn't hear him pull up? She was at the back of the house. then said it was all her fault because we tried to remove the filter with players as lower instructed us to do by the way the problem was the filter housing was defective. He irately told her it was her fault because we tried to remove it with pliers but as i said lowes instructed us to do that. then he said it was not his job to change filters repeatedly but he wouldn't listen that the problem was the filter housing then he even rudely even made comments about the house being dirty as if that was any of his business he would not give his name but it was on the shirt so i to do some research to find out who this was anyway the problem was never fixed i called lowes and told them to never send him back over again. completley unprofessional would not recommend!! and angry that he would treat a woman this way just wish i would have been there.

THIS GUY IS A TOTAL CROOK!!! He was rude from the very beginning to my wife. Called lowe's 1-800 number on 8/28/2017. On 8/29/2017 this guy Larry Nichols showed up to my house as scheduled. Was on site for 10 minutes. Told my wife that the vent hose was too long and was part of the problem (Lowe's originally installed washer/dryer/vent hose). Told my wife he was not allowed do shorten the vent hose that husband would have to do it. Also said a part had gone bad (didnt tell us what part) and would need to order it. Promised to be back with part on 9/5/2017. He did not show up on 9/5/2017 and did not call us. I called him on his cell 601-408-1367 and he answered saying "Major Brand Appliances" so I proceeded to question him about our appointment. He told me he had no recollection of our names/address/issue/previous appointment - ANYTHING. He said he would check his computer and call me back (he wrote down my cell number). HE NEVER CALLED BACK! I have called him numerous times and left voicemails. I called Lowe's again and asked them to look in their system for the status of my repair and they told me that Larry Nichols closed the order with notes that he replaced a part (WHICH HE DID NOT) and shortened my dryer vent hose (WHICH HE TOLD MY WIFE HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO DO). I feel certain Lowe's paid him for the job that he falsely closed as complete. Lowe's scheduled another appointment (3rd appointment) for Larry Nichols to come back out on 9/7/2017 despite me telling them to not send this guy to my house anymore. Apparently, he is the ONLY guy Lowe's uses in my area. I called him the day of the 3rd appointment during the time window and he did not answer. I called Lowe's to see if they could get in touch with him to confirm that he was coming and they could not get in touch with him either. Again, he never answered my called and was a NO SHOW AGAIN for the 3rd appointment. I am still currently fighting with Lowe's and this is still on-going and our dryer is still not working as of right now. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY! He is a total crook!
Description of Work: Whirlpool dryer purchased from Lowe's with extented protection plan purchased on original purchase date. Dryer no longer heating. Called Lowe's for repair. They sent this guy.

I have an extended service warranty on my 1 year old Whirlpool washing machine and this is the second time on 14 months that I have had to call for repair. The first time was in April 16, 2012 while the machine was still under warranty. They promptly sent out a service man from Major Brand Appliance in Hattiesburg, MS. I was happy about the quick response but the service man was rude when I asked him if he would mind taking off his shoes due to my off white carpet and my son's allergies and our washer is on the 2nd floor with the bedrooms. He replied if I wanted to get my machine serviced he would keep on his shoes. I showed him the piece that we thought broke off from the machine, ripping holes in our clothes and he said it looked like the rubber tube needed to be replaced and he would order it. Time went by, made calls to his number and he first answered and said it was on back order. Weeks went by and I made more calls to him and then back to Whirlpool. Major Brand Appliance had closed out the ticket and said they completed the work. I was still having holes ripped in my family's clothes and no service was performed. Finally on May 25, 2012 a new service provider came out. I couldn't fully explain to him what was wrong because major Brand Appliance had taken the broken piece! However the new service man was able to replace the tube and he was perfect to work with.On August 13, 2012 my washer stopped draining and spinning in the middle of a load. I called Whirlpool and requested the nice repair company and the extended service department told me they were not contracted so they sent out Major Brand Appliance again! They were supposed to come the next day, which was speedy service. However they called me at 8:44am to say they were on their way. They called at 9:14am to get my gate code and then they never came to the house. What happened was that when got to my home and realized which customer it was they left. That is very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Major Brand Appliance was to examine my new Whirlpool washer to see why it was ripping my clothes apart in April of 2012 and then to see why the machine would not drain water or spin dry in August of 2012. I purchased this machine new in June of 2011 and already had to request repair twice in 14 months.

It was aweful!!!!!
Description of Work: This repair was booked through a "big box" warranty service. Major Brand Appliance was a day late for their appointment. It took them 4 appointments to get the reapir part. After their last visit they left the appliance not completely reassembled and were to order more parts. they closed the work order and did not contact us. Another appliance repairer completed the problem in one visit. DO NOT USE MAJOR BRAND APPLIANCE. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!
