Kemp's Pool Service

Kemps has been absolutely great to work with. We are first time pool owners and David came out and showed us how everything works and what issues to watch for in the future. We ended up putting a new liner in and David did a great job with that as well. Everyone we have dealt with has been so helpful. Great customer service in the store as well. Including the friendly dogs that greet you at the door too.

They were prompt and did work exactly as it had been described. Much better than Mr. Pool who never showed up.

Excellent work. Even went under water to patch the rips. Yuck!

I asked if there would be a problen using a pump still in the box that was over 10 years old. He said no.

He did do most of the job, but did not finish. The problem was not with a used pump but with whatever he did that affected the skimmer.To this day, it still does not work correctly. I called and he said to get another pool company to complete the job. He was paid for the first job on that very day. It was the extra $150 that he was not paid for until a few months later because he charged that amount for checking the salt level instead of fixing the skimmer after getting into an argument with me over the phone (UPDATE). I would avoid this guy if for no other reason than his behavior today (2/3/14). He called me twice and started questioning me about the Angie's List rating and then called my wife. How did he even tract down my number as I have a new number since the time of service call and by the way, this was a year and a half ago (summer of 2012- I know this because my neighbor recommended him and moved in December of 2012). He needs to learn that you do not harass a customer and you certainly don't leave a message and not hit end when you are in the process of bad mouthing the customer.Today's unexpected and unwarranted encounter took this guy to a new low of UN-professionalism. I will be contacting Angie's List, as the phone calls today were creepy and strange.

While David Kemp did not perform the service, he had another professional call us. We are very pleased with the work done by the referred contractor.

Called all the major providers for this service in the Jackson area and spoke with two who said they would get back to me and never did. Met David Kemp outside the Post Office and noticed his truck. He is a former employee of one of the larger companies in the area who has started his own business. Was impressed with the individual and his knowledge of pools, so scheduled an estimate. He did the estimate the next day and we scheduled the work. He quoted a price, subject to inspection of the concrete after the liner was removed, and stuck to his estimate for the price quoted with major concrete work. Kept in constant contact with me during all phases of the work, and all work was done at the time he promised. Would definitely use David Kemp again, and have recommended him to friends.
