Thome Plumbing Co

Thome plumbers arrived, soon after we called them. They identified the real problem, leaks in the stack pipe, and worked for two half days, fixing it completely. They also installed the new dishwasher, that had been recently delivered. The work was done quickly, correctly, and neatly. The plumbers were professional and considerate of our home. The cost was very reasonable for the work that was done. I will only consider Thome for my next plumbing need.

They are always responsive, friendly, and fair. They are great people. My friend is a plumber. The prices and their solving of the problem is always consistent with what my friend says.

Came for a repair on my kitchen sink sprayer which they were unable to repair without ordering a new one. Replaced a toilet flush sysyem while here. dDd not hear back about new sprayer for weeks. I finally called them...they said they were still looking. Another 3-4 weeks went by ..no response from them. I called them again and they did not have an answer. Finally got a call that said they were unable to find the piece to do the job.

We needed a leak fixed in our main plumbing line (we are on a well), and new shut off installed. We also needed some additional work on the line leading to our water softener. Mr. Thome came to clarify the scope of the work and provide an estimate. On the day of repair, his plumbers were on time and very pleasant. I had tried to "help" by shutting down the water before their arrival, not knowing they had to release pressure on the system. They were extremely nice about that delay. I would hire the company again.

They had been very responsive when I called. I have seen the work they have done has great quality and they have been just really a pleasure to work with too.

Let me start by saying Thome Plumbing is awesome! I will definitely call on them again for future plumbing work. Now, let my story begin... My problem started out with a leaky kitchen faucet handle. Initially called a handyman (thinking it would be less expensive than a licensed plumber) to fix the leak. Handyman discovered possible faulty shut-off valves underneath the sink. Went to the main shut-off valve and discovered broken valve (could not turn off water in an emergency). Since he was not a licensed plumber he could not do the work. Thankfully, he did not charge me anything, not even a trip charge. Okay, so the search begins on Angie's. Got a couple "over-the-phone" estimates based on what the handyman advised me to say. Got one "over-the-phone" estimate which made me nervous. Had another high-rated plumber (which I will not name) come out to give me a free estimate and declined them based on what the tech said. I had purchased a Delta faucet at Home Depot to replace my existing one. He tells me that the faucets Home Depot (or any other big box store) offers are not of the same quality as the ones he sells (even though they are both from Delta). He said the H.D. ones are a lot of plastic and just aren't as high of quality. He proceeds to show me his catalog of Delta products and lo and behold there's the same exact model that I purchased at H.D. with the same exact model number. He said on that particular model he couldn't tell me exactly how his would be better but just that it would be. I said I would get back to him after getting other estimates. After he left I immediately called Delta's customer service and asked if the above was true and they said absolutely not. That is how I ended up with Thome doing my repair work and couldn't be more pleased. They were on time, very professional, and didn't make that outrageous claim about their products versus Home Depots. It was one of those times when my "gut feeling" was spot on.

I was very impressed with this company and they didn't even do anything for me. I called with an issue that I was prepared to have done but the gentleman that I spoke with convinced me that I didn't need to have the job done after all. The fact that he listened to what I described, asked pertinent questions and then informed me that I didn't need his services told me all I need to know about their professionalism. When I do have an issue, I will be calling back with the certainty that I can trust them.

I am pleased with the overall work so far, even though the job has not been completed yet. But they have already done a considerable amount of work, really the lion share of it, so that is why I feel confident in my recommendation.

Plumber arrived on time. He was very efficient and the quality of his work was excellent. Work was completed within 3 hours. Clean up was good.

I spent $250 on their services. They are responsive and really good. They fixed the problem. I will use their services again in the future. I’ve only used them for seven months.

It has been a while since we last used them. They came out as soon as they could after we called them. They were courteous. We had used them a year and a half ago as well and we have been happy with their service. They weren't sure that they could come out on the next day but they did. They thought that it would take two days to get to us but they were able to come on the next day. We don't remember the price that we paid for their service.

They were really friendly and really good. They really took the time to do it right. They also told me if I had to get off the toilet then it was better to replace it with a new one as it was a weird one which was a hybrid one. So it wasn’t worth to repair and it was cheap to get a new one. So I thought that was very nice that he figured out the same problem in all my bathrooms. I had them out lot of times.

I contacted Thome Plumbing via an ad I found on the Internet, prior to joining Angies List. Whoever answered the phone was cordial and scheduled an appointment for someone to come out to do the work the next day. Contractor was 18 minutes late but got right to work, after I had shown him the areas to be worked on. I had purchased a Moen shower faucet from a local big box store and plumber was willing to install the fixture I had purchased. Plumber was here 3 plus hours. Asked my permission to cut in to the cultured marble shower wall and install a contractor plate. He needed to do this because the cold water pipe was right next to a wood wall stud and he didn't want to chance the risk of fire. Plumber was pretty quiet, did his work, cleaned up after himself, explained what he had done, and went on his way. Since it was a Friday, he was unable to get pricing so did not leave an invoice or ask for payment. I used the shower on Saturday and was nearly scalded. There was no cold water at all. I call the company the following MOnday and someone was out here the next day. The mixer, which I had purchased, had a bad cartridge which they replaced. Plumber then did a pressure test on shower and outside faucet. Work was completed in about 1 hour. Presented me with a bill for $743. I thought the bill was a bit high but plumber put in four plus hours of work, didn't balk at using a fixture NOT purchased from or provided by him. I had paid over $600 for similar work (install faucet and contractor plate in shower) at another house less than 6 months ago. Perhaps additional work of installing outside faucet was the additional $100 plus dollars.

I think their quality of work is excellent which is why I wanted to hire them again. I called him twice to get my estimate and both times he said I'll get back to you and he never has. I waited 6 weeks and never received any information or estimate. I hesitated to write this report because the quality of work is great, but I guess he is so busy that he doesn't need the business.

Went OK. Plumber arrived within stated times. Price was surprisingly high and when I called Alan to discuss, he seemed a little defensive. Said, yes, charge could be as much as $149/hr. for a pedestal sink. I was sorry I hadn't inquired about hourly cost ahead of time. Lesson learned.

Work was well done. The new hot water dispenser works much better with the new larger valve, which should be trouble free. The plumber was personable and helpful.

Left message on the night of July 4th. Waited for a return call the next morning, but had to call them back a second time. Alan returned the call in the afternoon and apologized for the delay. They were backed up due to the holiday. Alan worked very hard to try to squeeze my repairs in as soon as possible, however, I was able to find another company that could come out a day earlier to fix the non-working kitchen faucet. Alan was definitely very nice and considerate and made every effort to help me the best he could. I would definitely consider using them for future plumbing needs.

I was very pleased with the work. The company arrived on time. Worked hard, answered any questions, made several key suggestions. Cleaned-up and did a great job. Patrick and Steve were great.

the plumber was timely, the work done well and neatly. he was polite and personable. I felt the work was done well. the only drawback was on the pricing of his time. it was a $45 trip charge, $100 for the first hour and $25 for every 15 minutes after. He toook only an hour and chagred for 15 extra mintes.

This company always responds immediately, shows up on time and always does good work. He is very honest and his prices seem reasonable for the work done.

Patrick is an 18 year veteran and checked the shut off valves. He said most of the time the valve does not need to be replace but only tightened. He fixed the leaks without replacement. He also repaired the faucets with only $8.00 worth of parts. The company's philosophy is to fix rather than replace when possible. We were very impressed with the Company and Patrick. Our bill was much less than anticipated and would use the company for services again.

VERY GOOD! PATRICK WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE INSPECTED THE CURRENT FAUCET AND CONFIRMED THAT THE OLD FAUCET COULD NOT BE FIXED. HE WORKED QUICKLY AND THE INSTALLATION WAS PERFECT. NO FURTHER PROBLEMS WITH A LEAKY KITCHEN FAUCET! WILL DEFINITELY CALL AGAIN WITH ANY PLUMBING ISSUES.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND CLEANED UP WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.

THE WORK WAS ALL DONE WELL & EFFICIENTLY. CO STARTED LATE, BY AGREEMENT. NO MATTER WHAT IS SAID VERBALLY, CO WILL DO WHAT IS SPECIFIED IN CONTRACT.

MATT ARRIVED ON TIME, EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO AND GOT RIGHT TO IT. THE JOB WAS DONE QUICKLY AND I APPRECIATE THE CARE HE USED HAULING AWAY THE OLD UNIT, NOT A DROP OF WATER GOT ONTO MY FLOORS OR CARPET. HE HAULED OFF ALL THE TRASH AND LEFT THE AREA NEAT. HE IS FRIENDLY AND EASY TO WORK WITH.
