Rich, Clayton, and his team were an absolute joy to work with. They turned our basement into a dream space in what felt like no time at all. I would recommend this company to anyone hoping to finish their basement in the greater STL area!

We had Clayton and Richbuilt complete our basement, about 1,350 square feet, this last spring. They did a phenomenal job. Clayton is just a genuinely good guy. The basement was going from concrete slabs, to now being a part of our home. This included a full bathroom that had to be roughed in, a kitchenette area, and we added a small kids playhouse (with slide, naturally) around the stairs. I told Clayton about the slide/playhouse idea - and he just ran with it - came up with a few of his own ideas and then just knocked it out of the park. I would have Clayton do other work on our house; and/or if we ever moved and needed a basement, would know who to call.
You won’t be disappointed if you go with Richbuilt.

Rich showed up one and a half hours late for our scheduled estimate appointment without explanation or apology for his tardiness. I let him in, without commenting on his late arrival. He assessed the requested basement wet bar installation work, taking measurements and making notes. This was a Thursday morning. He took my email information and confirmed my phone number then promised a written estimate before the weekend. I never heard from him or anyone else at Richbuilt basement again! It's been 12 days now and numerous efforts to contact Richbuilt Basements with phone call voicemails and emails have been made. No estimate, no explanation and no return contact.
Description of Work: Failed to show up on time for scheduled estimate appointment then never followed up with an estimate as promised.

They did not show up for their scheduled appointment for an in home estimate. I called the office an hour after the scheduled time, but they did not know where the guy was. They called me back quickly to claim that he had car trouble and wanted to reschedule on another day.
Description of Work: I called to get an estimate for granite countertops for my kitchen. They offered to come by to take measurements and bring samples for me to pick out a piece for an estimate.
Rich and his crew were always nice and easy to work with. The framing of our basement went up fast. We noticed a creaking on our main floor from the framing in the basement. It was fixed asap. Electrical and plumbing took a few days. My husband did keep an eye on this since he knew what he wanted specifically for internet and cable outlets. We did have to have them make a few corrections. There was an issue with plumbing when they were setting up the 3/4 bath. Lines got crossed with the hot water heater and we went the weekend without hot water. It was fixed first thing on the Monday they returned. The paint job is probably what we are the least pleased with. We choose Behr Castle Path 730C-3. They only did one coat of paint but it really needed 2 coats. After the carpet was installed we marked with stickers where paint needed to be touched up. We went through several stickers to mark all the spots. He did come back to do the touch ups but we still need to finish them because he didn't get them all. For the 3/4 bath Rich installedthe floor tile, shower, pedestal sink, mirror, hand towel holder, glass shelf, toilet, and towel rack. Any construction job is going to have its hiccups but any issue we had was handled easily.
Description of Work: Framing, drywall, electrical, Paint, Built-in media storage we had a living area, 3/4 bath and media room finished in our basement.
Price he quoted was right on although we added a few things adding to the cost. They are very professional and extremely skilled in all areas. We were told it would take 6 wks. and ended up finishing majority of it in 5 wks. Rich, the owner, has a two crews. There is a separate crew for the drywall, and taping. We only wish they had built the rest of our house their work is amazing.
Description of Work: Finished our basement. Included wet bar, 3/4 bath. It was about 1000 sq. ft. included an office/guest bedroom with closet. Tile floor at bar area and bathroom. Added additional window. From framing to electrical, plumbing, insulating, dry wall, painting, install bath fixtures, and bar cabinets and sink.
