Description of Work: Replaced damaged deck. Increased the size from 16' by 10' to 16' by 12' by canter-leaving the width. My original review is on file at Angie's list. Great work, with fine detail. Very professional, and courteous. Will use again in future for home remodeling that I don't want to do myself. Great job Mike. Thank you!

 + 0 moreAfter meeting with him to tell him what my plans were, he had some ideas that I had not considered. Also, the details he incorporated really make this deck stand out, (such as routed cap rails, and all the exposed structure dressed in cedar). Mike was great to work with as this project went along. One of his suggestions allowed me to have the deck 2 feet wider, without disturbing the new landscaping that was completed 3 years earlier. The new deck is 16 ft by 12 ft. He always kept me informed of the progress, and when certain items would be completed. I had selected the composit decking material, but, because of his experience, he recommended another brand that had a better warranty (the one I had selected had some issues of the surface failing). And, at the same cost as the one I selected. I should also add, the new deck meets all of the code requirements.
Description of Work: I needed to replace an existing deck that was 16 ft by 10 ft. I considered doing the project myself, but, do to time constraints, I decided to call Mike of Moorefield Construction. (He had previously replaced my windows). I took down the old deck and, Mike designed and built the new replacement deck. I am so glad that I called him, the new deck is terrific.

 + 0 moreMike was referred to us by our kitchen designer and came to our rescue when intial contractor was let go. He was able to come in and finish our job right away and because we were not sure how large the scope of work to fix our situation would be he was contracted on a time and materials basis. In hindsight, the project turned out larger than either of us guessed and it ended up taking almost 5 days to complete. He seemed to really care about doing the job right and enjoy his craft.
Description of Work: Mike came in after our first contractor made a mess of our kitchen remodel. Unfortunately he had to spend an entire day getting our upper cabinets square to the world before he could begin the more intricate task of installing the crown molding and under cabinet trim. We have a very complicated design element with the crown going out, across a 3 inch stretch back in for an inch then across a cabinet front before repeating in the other direction. Mike did a beautiful job carrying out the design and we are very pleased with the result. In addtion to the cabinet/trim work he installed a hood vent for us and actually read the directions so that it was done right and in the way,that if I knew what I was doing, I would have done it.
