Midtown Home Improvements

Took quite a bit of time and the price was more than I expected, but the workmanship and quality were more than worth it. They are busy as their popularity grows, so book 2 months in advance. Synthetic lifetime deck and vinyl fence are professionally installed and look amazing. Cedar and pressure treated wood are about a 3rd the price, but don't last 1/4 as long, and they don't look as good on day 1 as mine will look years from now when the cheaper wood fence and deck will have been replaced twice. They will come back out as much as needed to ensure you are happy with the product. Don't be cheap, check them out.

I was amazed at the entire process. Midtown partners with some quality companies for Appliances (Ferguson), Stone Counter tops (E&B Granite), and provides who I would consider one of the best Installation Carpenters (Dan) I have ever had on a job for me. Sean, our sales guy and initial measurement and design person, was very attentive to what we needed done, and expertly laid out what to expect with the process of getting the new kitchen. After initial design was complete and signed off on, Ben came out and took a deeper dive into the design, actually slicing into walls to determine if certain structures could be removed to make room for other items, and fine tuned the design. We went to Ferguson for our appliances with our Green Midtown-provided Folder that contained all paperwork to-date that spelled out our Job (Did I say yet that Midtown will coordinate delivery and has a close working relationship with Ferguson). Carter at Ferguson noticed our Green Notebook and asked if he could see what all we needed, then paraded us around the store like shopping from a grocery list . . . I was so impressed not only with how Ferguson was able to look at the folder, and know exactly what was needed (down to the Bronze Toilet Fixtures), but how well Midtown had tee'd up what was needed. My friggin' jaw dropped I was so impressed at how smooth this process went . . . and during the install, I didn't have to coordinate squat; Midtown took care of it all. A couple weeks later Midtown called to remind me to go pick out our Granite for the kitchen at E&B Granite. They (Ajdin) noticed the Green Midtown folder and upon seeing what was needed, took us out into their selection of top quality stone (did I say yet that Midtown also coordinates the delivery of the granite to . . . all I have to do is sit and sip Lemonade ;-). Our kitchen required 3 slabs and we chose quartz. Their Granite installation folks were awesome too, having us point to where we wanted sink items, and following the plans for cook top placement. Time for the install . . . Dan shows up with his construction trailer, moments later a delivery truck appears with our kitchen cabinets, sheet rock, tile, bathroom stuff, etc., and Dan coordinates its placement into the garage in the order that he would need it, with me just standing there watching the well-oiled machine progress along. Demolition was complete in a day and a half and was neatly stacked out in the driveway to be hauled off. Dan got the Rough-ins and Cabinets installed in about a week and a half, and all the other "So while you are here installing Pot Lights," asks of him which he took care of for us. He did the Plumbing, Electrical AND the carpentry; no coordinating different entities; he did it ALL. Once cabinets were in, Mike with E&B Granite came out to take laser measurements of the cabinet footprint to provide to those cutting the counter-tops. He was spot on with Measurements and they provided beautiful counter-tops in a couple weeks. Once Dan finished his work of Back splash, Appliance Install, and light switch and receptacle wiring, even though the painters had not arrived yet, our Kitchen was absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend enough how pain-free, and well-oiled this process was, and can only offer this recommendation to say how well it went from start to finish, with Jessie keeping us in the loop from a Project Management/Coordination standpoint every step of the way. I will use Midtown again, as they know how to do quality work, and have a refined process, and partner with quality companies . . . I mean, heck I never spend the time writing reviews, but in this case it was worth the effort. Midtown is quality, plain and simple.

It was great! From the estimates to when the windows were installed, each person we spoke with was courteous and knowledgeable. Brandy always let us know when people were coming and what to expect.

At the beginning of the project there was some miscommunication about the location of the fence but the quickly put it right. Everything looks great so far! I wish we could use them the for our bathroom model.

Working with Mid-Town was a very pleasant experience. Being that it was our first time using a contractor, the job completed smoothly. We had granite counter tops installed with a stone back splash and new sink and garbage disposal. Rob (sales manager) worked with us directly. The quote was well below others contractor bids. They kept in contact with us through the entire process. Any issues we had (which was only one minor one) was handled promptly and professionally. The installers were respectful, neat and clean. I would definitely recommend Mid-Town to anyone looking to do home improvement work. I plan on using them again for my deck and master bathroom remodel.

It went very well. This is the third time we've used Midtown for our home improvements and they have done a terrific job each time.

Terrific. Received a visit as scheduled and was quoted on the spot. Initially thought that work wouldn't start until August and it was actually completed in June. Excellent work!

We had an excellent experience from the beginning. The representative that met with us to discuss our project was friendly and knowledgeable. The project was completed within a month of placing our order. Midtown representatives initiated frequent communication with us throughout the process and addressed questions in a timely manner. Our house looks amazing!

Excellent quality and customer service.

Did not hire. The company called me even though I didn't select them as a prospect to bid on my job. HomeAdvisor "phished" Angie's List and got my phone number. I thought I'd go ahead and tell them what I needed. The rep who came to the door (Kevin) was a fast talking guy who tried to sell me other things before we began talking about my project. He spent a long time blabbing about his company's record, going page by page through a large binder. HIs ballpark price was to be $30,000 or $40,000. I told him I was getting more bids and would call if I went with his company. I was relieved when he finally left. The next day, there was a phone call from the main telesales line who said he wanted to come out again to finish up our deal. There was no deal. I got another bid for $18.000 so I certainly wasn't going with Midtown. The sales rep showed up anyway, argued with me at the front door and left in a huff because I wouldn't let him in. Really? I work too hard for my money to put up with the overly high price and hard sell tactics. I do not recommend this company.

Midtown was recommended through the Angie's List matching system. I contacted Midwest to discuss my project. I started to explain that the porch is located on a concrete slab and I was immediately interrupted by the sales person on the phone to say they didn't do concrete work. He wouldn't even let me finish what I was saying before interrupting me. I'm looking to hire a contractor that knows how to communicate and will actually listen to the customer. I immediately ended the phone call as I didn't feel comfortable continuing a conversation with the Midwest representative.

The fence is beautiful. Very happy with product.

The time from my initial phone call and project completion was only about 3 weeks. The fence looks fantastic. I really appreciate that Midtown took care of the permit and fees - I didn't have to deal with the City at all. Very convenient! They also offer nice discounts for previous customers, so we are looking into a deck project now.

Our experience with Midtown was great. We needed to replace a roof on our three seasons room. Their price was reasonable and their work quick and professional. It is one year on and we have had no issues.

The workmanship was great and built in a timely manner

They were awesome. The salesman was super knowledgeable and really helped us to feel good about the product we were buying. The installer, Kim, and his team were fast and super courteous. They took good care to make sure our house stayed clean. They installed one window at a time in an assembly line fashion and moved quick. All this being said, when the windows arrived they didn't have the correct number of pane lines (not sure what those are called) and so Kim and his crew installed what they could and promised to make it right. Hi did what he said! He followed up personally and did the work himself so that he could check every window himself. The attention he gave to our product and home is what makes them the company they are. It took a little longer to get it all done than we would have preferred, but we have the best windows and our house looks amazing. We will definitely be calling them again.

I love the new deck! Maintenance free and a lifetime warranty. Great workmanship and professional crew. Attention to detail was amazing.

My husband and I recently had our deck replaced by Midtown. Throughout the process they did a great job communicating with us and responded to our questions quickly. The quality of the deck is outstanding and we are very pleased with the work. We will happily look to them again for our future improvement projects.

My main issue with Midtown was the sales person Zack. Zack walked into my home like he already had the sale. Quote a price on windows without ever showing me a window. I had used Midtown before and knew they did quality work, so i overlooked initially. He asked if I needed grids in my windows, something I would have expected him to look at while there. I had to call back to add the grids. I also showed him my current screen door and asked for a price on one like it, that functioned similarly. I picked our a door in the catalog. The door I received was NOT at all like the one I picked. Since there "order" simply said the number of windows and a screen door, there were no product numbers, etc. to back up my claim. Zack advised the door I wanted would be an additional $1500. I advised he needed to pick up the door they installed and I would purchase one elsewhere. I got the exact door I wanted from Lowes installed, for significantly less than $1500. Its been almost a week and I am still waiting for Midtown to come and remove their sub-quality door. Finally, Zack assured me, that the installation include thorough clean up. This was not the case. I am found several screws in my carpet from the old windows, my window sills are scuffed on may windows and will needed to be painted, there was small debris left outside of my house and much inside. This was not the same experience I had previously and I will never use Midtown again. On a positive note, the windows appear to be good quality. The installers were courteous and professional. In fact, they replaced a piece of siding that had fallen down near the one of the windows (pre-install, they did not cause this). This siding was near a wasp nest.

I used Zuri deck materials for the project. This is a rather pricey material, however it is maintenance free and should last for my life time. The installation crew was great.
