Mid America Cabinet Refacing

Tom and Kevin and their other craftsmen were great to work with. We are so pleased with the final results. What impressed me most was Toms ability to visualize a new look for our kitchen and offering options that a homeowner might not think about, such as redesigning one wall of cabinets to include a bump out in depth and height that really gave the look some much needed interest. Also, the addition of crown moulding, wood panels for the exposed sides of the cabinets and the addition of deep sliding drawers in the island, a cookie sheet slide out cabinet and a roll out spice rack in a narrow floor cabinet. Even with these conveniences and an upgrade in wood selection, still MUCH less cost and mess than complete replacement of our kitchen cabinets. I would highly recommend this company for your cabinet needs. They are knowledgeable and professional and local. I'd much rather support a local business over a chain outfit any day,

Kevin and his crew did a wonderful job updating our 18 year old builder grade 'fake oak' kitchen cabinets, island and kitchen desk. Now they have beautiful maple doors, crown molding and new hinges. I ordered handles and knobs online which they installed. Additionally, there are now drawers in lower cabinets that hold allow easier access and hold more. Kevin provided gentle guidance while we were trying to make a selection from their wide array of choices. No matter what door style or finish combination you choose, the prices are the same. Love my new kitchen!

It went very well. Excellent!!!!!! Kevin made the corner bottom cabinet and drawer three inches wider. He also did a new window sill that matched the cabinet doors and wood trimmed the kitchen window. It is just what I wanted. Kevin is a perfectionist. We also got a new counter top and sink. Kevin took care of all the plumbing. All went very well. We are really pleased. Kevin did not try to talk us into anything we did not want. He just asked what we wanted to change. This was an overall very good experience. OH!!! Also he said it would be 6 to 8'weeks for doors to come and then work to be done. To our surprise it was only 5 weeks and the whole project was done in 3 days and we only did not have use of kitchen for 1 day. Outstanding!!!!!

We had an excellent experience with this company. Our initial contact was with Tom, and he made some excellent suggestions on design. When the work began both Tom and Kevin were here each day. They were friendly, reliable and courteous. They cleaned up each evening so that we could use the kitchen. The quality of the work was outstanding. Overall we had a great experience and we love our new kitchen.

Kevin Sulin, Tom & Jay were very professional friendly guys! They arrived on time each day, worked very hard & had the job done in 2 day instead of 3! Worked 9-5 timely. I had no problem leaving them in my house while I did my errands. They covered my countertops & the floor while they worked. They were neat & careful & explained what they were going to do. They cleaned up at the end of the day & made my kitchen usable for the evening. The backsplash is beautiful & very professionally done! The cabinets with crown molding & baseboard make my kitchen take on a whole new look! Love my huge lazy susan & having a wine rack with stemware holder! Very happy with everything! I hired this company because they were a small local independent company & so glad I did! I will definitely recommend this highly professional company! Thanks guys!

Outstanding job done by Kevin and his team. They all were proud of their work and the product that they were installing. At the end of each day they cleaned up and wouldn't leave until the house was tidy for the evening. Quality people to work with on this project. Looked forward to talking to them and getting suggestions from them as well. Excellent job done by one and all and I'd like to thank them for great service. Hope to have them out once again for another project!!

. Kevin came out And provided a bid to resurface our bathroom cabinets. We were having our bathroom remodeled and decided to keep our existing wood cabinets and have the resurfaced. Kevin gave us several suggested on putting drawers under the open area we currently had a vanity top. He also suggested replacing our current small false drawers with one full false drawer. He provided a very reasonable price. They called when the material was in and set up an appointment. they arrived on time, indicated it would probably be done by early afternoon. They completed as indicated and did a great job. We were very happy with the total experience. We would highly recommend them

It went very well. The quality was good, the mess was minimal and they did exactly what we had discussed. It completely updated the kitchen. For the price it is a great alternative to a full remodel.

The owner of the company was there throughout the installation and was friendly and courteous! The bid by Mid America was $5000 less than the bid from a service provided by Home Depot. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results!!

I LOVE my new kitchen! Since my old cabinets were solid and their arrangement well designed, I wanted to replace only the dated, well-worn cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Owner Kevin Sulin helped me choose a finish (white with glazing) that complemented the existing flooring. Kevin encouraged me to include crown molding as well as a small, lower molding for the upper cabinets. I had thought this might be too much adornment, but I took his advice anyway. Kevin was right; the molding neatly and elegantly finished off the total look without making it too ?busy?. My new doors are full face, and the very narrow spaces between them are perfectly even. The molding corners are at neat 45-degree angles. Kevin suggested stainless steel front panels for my built-in refrigerator, carefully choosing from several different samples the stainless finish that matched the existing refrigerator door handles. When I placed the order, Kevin gave me the time frame for doing the work. The materials came when he had expected they would, and Kevin then followed the schedule just as he had projected. I had difficulty choosing the cabinet hardware (pulls and knobs), so, while waiting for my order to be filled, I asked Kevin if I could borrow his sample door panel. Carrying it with me to stores selling cabinet hardware, I was able to set pulls and knobs directly on the door as I shopped around, seeing just how they would look. I could not have picked so easily otherwise. I have a very large kitchen (38 cabinet doors and drawers). I got 7 estimates ranging from about $8,000 for Mid America to approximately $18,000. We had one problem, which turned out not to be a problem at all because of Kevin?s professionalism. One of the side walls of the kitchen islands contains an electrical outlet. The panel to cover that side was cut to accommodate the outlet. Unfortunately, the new panel had a profile very close to the outlet, resulting in the outlet plate covering part of the profile. I did not like how it looked. Before I even had a chance, Kevin, sensing my disappointment, OFFERED to replace the door panel entirely at his expense if I would take care of the necessary electrical work. While working, Kevin repeated that he wanted me to be happy. Without exception, he succeeded!

They were totally professional, did an excellent job, and the kitchen looks fantastic. They listened to our concerns and came up with some great original designs. They are coming out later to do a back splash.

Very pleased with the outcome. Kevin came out with sample doors and photos of previous jobs and offered a lot of helpful suggestions that we might not have thought about on our own; professional, but not pushy. The work was done in a timely fashion and they were really good about doing everything to our specifications. They cleaned up every day after work so we could still use the kitchen.

If there was an A+ rating, we would use it. Outstanding, everyone has said they appear to be a completely new cabinet install. Very professional, extremely neat, top quality products. We wish we had more cabinets they could work with. Would highly recommend them. Cost very reasonable. GREAT JOB!!

Chose this company because of the high quality cabinet doors used and the many choices of styles and finishes. Keven and Tom did an outstanding job, were efficient and helpful. We liked the work so much they are coming back to do our bathroom cabinets. Our kitchen looks brand new.

They did an excellent job. No one can tell that they were refaced and not brand new cabinets. It looks amazing. I would highly recommend and use them again in the future.

This whole process was great. Kevin came out within a couple of days of the initial phone call, bringing with him tons of samples and pictures. We showed him samples of our tile and he helped us work through the choices. When the install date came he and his crew showed up as scheduled and didn't waste any time getting started. Very friendly guys and more than willing to explain what they were doing. More important, they cleaned up after themselves everyday. Not just a little, but clean enough that we could still use the kitchen. The process took a little longer than anticipated but it was through no fault of theirs. We added some things while they were here working and one of the cabinets was damaged in transit. The quality of the cabinets is excellent and their workmanship and integrity is excellent, as well. It's obvious they know their craft. We were home most of the time they were here, but would have no problem having them in the house without us. Bottom line - we love our kitchen and really enjoyed being around the guys. Already thinking of new projects for them.

Just moved in my new home that the kitchen was 12 yrs old. Had a couple companies take a look at it and was getting no where. Kevin came out with over 40 doors and pitchers showing his work ( not just trying to sell me a kitchen ) before and after. After a couple hrs going over and how I wanted it ( not his or there way like the other companies ) how it should look we put some things together. Kevin called back a day later with prices on every thing I asked for and even told me we could take a few things off or change if needed. I was very happy with the price and him so I went forward with getting my new kitchen going. Now a couple weeks later when every thing came in Kevin and his crew was in and out, telling me what was going, changing a few thing as he was going to make it look even better, and showing he really cared about the customer and his work...The detail in there work was GREAT. Now my old kitchen was nothing to look at, but now WOW talking about a kitchen that came right out of a magazine now I have it. Also you would never know it was just a refacing. It has been great and very easy with a company that still puts the customer first. I could of went with who ever and I so happy with my choice. What a pleasure it is to work with Kevin and his crew. From the moment Kevin came to look over our kitchen and discuss options, through the demolition and installation, there was never a question about scheduling, product, or the appearance of the kitchen. And what a difference in the functionality and appearance of our kitchen and home. Kevin has a great eye for detail and design and has a great sense of what you are trying to achieve.

Terrible, when he put the cabinets in they did not use a stud finder so he just kept putting screws in until he found the stud. I asked the contractor to put the hardware on. I had the hardware and I told him to put on the knobs and pulls. They drilled two holes in every door. So when he went to get some different ones they did not match. I went to the store and got the matching ones and installed them myself. They also messed up my crown molding.

This is the first time I have ever recommended anyone. Even if it cost me $10 to do, but this one deserves a heads-up. The bid they gave me was about $3,000 below the highest bid. After talking to several of their customers, I went with them. The job they did was excellent.

Kevin and his crew did a great job! Everything came in when Kevin said it would and it all looks great. We did decided after they started to do the island differently than we originally ordered, but Kevin was very understanding and put a rush order on the materials so we can get them in and completed. If you are pretty satisfied with the layout of your kitchen refacing is a great way to go. It is less expensive than completely replacing the cabinets and it only took four days, so we didn't lose use of our kitchen for very long.

Kevin and his crew did a remarkable job. Kevin had endless patience with me. I signed a contract with him when the estimate was given to me. After I signed the contract, I had questions and Kevin always called me back immediately. The crew came to work on time and even worked one day with a very curious toddler coming and going into the kitchen. They took it in stride even though it was making me crazy. Kevin helped me with selection and our kitchen looks brand new. I can't say enough good things about Mid-America. They are truly professionals.

Kevin, the installation manager, was my main contact. He did the preliminary and final estimates and was on the job every day doing the work along with one helper. They were flexible in scheduling to fit in with my schedule, arrived promptly each day and made the extra effort to get the work done within the promised time frame. They worked very cleanly, made suggestions for items that would improve the overall look of the kitchen and did an excellent job in designing the new cabinet unit to fit my requirements. They did an excellent job and even made arrangements to come back within a day after I collected my list of small adjustments and corrections that I wanted. They even got the seal of approval from my dog.
