About us

Ecocrafters is just me/Craig most of the time, so you will always be dealing w/ the "boss". When necessary I have 2 friends I bring in for carpentry & painting help. I've been in this biz for over 35 years so there isn't much I can't fix. I mainly built custom homes for most of that time and about 1/3 would be called "green" today. I always try to consider the environment in everything I do, hence the company name. One of my favorite jobs is helping homeowners make their home more energy efficient and planet friendly, whether its caulking windows, swapping out an old toilet for a dual flush model, or changing out a leaky door. My hourly rate is $50/hour and I add a trip charge if you are more than 10 miles from me (usually just $25). The only time I use subcontractors is for a larger job such as a new home or an addition. Also I don't advertise, never have, so all my biz comes word of mouth from satisfied customers. Thanks for checking me out...Craig

Will do the easy plumbing and electrical, but not the big jobs (I know good plumbers and electricians for those). Will do small roofing jobs but send the steep pitched & 2 story to roofer friends. Not equipped for spray painting jobs.

Craig does excellent work. We had an existing screened in porch that we wanted enlarged a bit and fitted with glass windows. Because of the nature of the porch, Craig had to make the glass window panels (about 20) himself. Also insulated the ceiling and floor, and installed tile flooring. He also made a custom-built skylight that we had requested. Craig is very meticulous and we are very happy with the results. We have engaged Craig for other smaller projects (including making a custom front door) and are always happy with the results.
