First payment was made on 6/9/14. Work was started on 6/30/14 and was very sporadic. They would come work for a few days and then not show up for a few days or a week, and at one point three+ weeks passed and no work was done. This was a fairly small job and the estimate was 4-6 weeks to complete. The work was finally completed in early December (5+ months). Three doorways that were framed had to be fixed/reframed because the size was wrong. The studs on one wall were not spaced apart enough and had to be "cobbled" in order to hang the drywall. After the drywall taping/sanding was finished and the walls were painted it was apparent that there were many areas that had to be redone. This work was "redone" quite a few times and in a few areas is still not of good quality. The "re-sanding" resulted in drywall dust which covered all the previously painted walls. The tile on the bathroom shower walls was not finished with a trim piece around the edge, it was just filled in with grout and sloped off, so once the walls were painted it was very visible and uneven. The trim piece of tile used for the backsplash was cut about a half inch too short for the countertop. Apparently the owner had money issues and I had to pay the two workers directly before they would come finished and I also had to directly pay the project manager who hadn't been paid in full. At first glance the basement looks okay, which is what I told the owner when I paid the final balance, but with closer inspection the defects are quite apparent.
Description of Work: Finish basement which included a great room, 3/4 bath and walk-in closet.
