Very professional

We hired Chowning Heating & Cooling for a dedicated HVAC/Gas inspection of our new home. A few months later, our water heater failed and we discovered that the vent pipe was made of a dryer vent. Chowning called this a normal configuration and failed to cite this plainly visible and dangerous problem. They said specifically that it was OK/Pass. Getting up to code cost us a small fortune, and it would have been avoided had Chowning done a good job with their inspection. I called to complain and asked for resolution, expecting they would at least refund me for the cost of the inspection. They said they would kick up to management, and I never heard back from them. This company has poor business practices and has incompetent home inspectors. Steer clear at all costs.

The workers arrived prior to the scheduled appt. which really worked for me. I'm pleased with the manner in which they performed the installation of the central air conditioning system. They were courteous and professional.

They were on time and took the time to explained my options very clearly and at a very reasonable price. They have now completed the installation of my air conditioning system. They were on prompt and arrived exactly when they said they would and they finished the job on time. They worked efficiently and were pleasant to speak with and answered all my questions. They gave me instruction to fill out the warranty papers. I had a very positive experience working with them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They installed 2 heat pumps in my home. I called and they showed up immediately to keep us warm that night. Showed up the next day with 2 new units and had them installed and working in about 6 hours. This was no "standard" install either...there were complications and issues they had to deal with. They did so with professionalism and work was top-notch. Price was very reasonable as well. Customer service is excellent. We did have to call back because the thermostats were not functioning properly -- they again responded the same day and replaced them at no charge. All working great now. Every person we dealt with was professional and kind, and they did what they said they would do. Quality company.

These guys are the best! We called all of the "big" companies and these guys were about half the price. The weather was hot, and our air conditioner was blowing hot air. Called and they came out that day. Service was great. They replaced our air conditioner and furnace in under 4 hours. Showed us how everything worked, cleaned up, and were on their way. We would recommend them to everybody we know, and have!

When the crew was running behind with their previous job, Mr. Chowning showed up to start the job without them in order to finish on time. The price was lowest of four bids. He installed a product recommended by this website.

They were very professional & curtious from the very start. They worked very hard on some of the hottest days we've had yet this summer until they got the job done, one day from early morning until evening without even taking their lunch break. They are very dedicated to their profession, and I possitively know we made the right choice with them. We are confident that if anything goes wrong, they will be right there to take care of things. The Contractor even went above and beyond and drew up the forms and filed our rebates for us. I don't know anyone else who would give you that kind of service. We highly recommend Chowning H & C!

These guys were great and gave us a fair price! They were on time for both the estimate and the installation. They installed a Carrier air conditioning unit for us (both the condenser and the coil). We are very happy with the results. They were fast, professional, and courteous. They also left the work area nice and clean. I would definitely use these guys again and would highly recommend them to others.
