I wish I could give this provider an A+++++++! We had a broken PVC pipe in the tub at my mother's house that was leaking water into the basement. This was a big problem as we could not be without the use of the tub. We called Bono Plumbing and not only did they respond IMMEDIATELY, Chris (the service provider) was courteous, knowledgeable and fixed the issue in record time. He also tested and made sure everything was fixed correctly before leaving and their services came with a 90 day warranty. What a pleasant surprise to have such excellent and timely service. Within a short period of time the head plumber Chris Pratt solved the problem. I asked him how much I owed him and he said "Nothing it was a clogged drain and I took care of it". I asked him what type of work he does. He explained he does many jobs. He began working on my range for about two hours and he explained that he could not finish it that day but he found the problem and he would come back. I asked him what the charge would be for that he once again said he wouldn't charge me.

Service was great, I was told at the time I scheduled I did not need to provide a new garbage disposal that they carry them on their truck. I decided to buy my own upgraded quieter disposal at Lowes to have them install. The 2 servicemen here said I picked up a nice one that will last. I was told that my sink sprayer causing the leak is common and how to tighten it to prevent any future leaks. I purchased 2 hours of labor and they only used one. Within the week I was refunded the additional hour of labor. I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future! A great plumber is hard to come by and Bono was above an beyond great.

I had filed a claim with our home warranty provider because of a few plumbing issues and believed it would be taken care of for the $50 deductible. The toilet tank in one bathroom would not fill and the toilet in the other would not stop filling. I filed my claim on the phone on Sunday and left a message with Bono Plumbing. I'm glad it wasn't an emergency because they had no emergency number, only an answering machine. The next day I hadn't received a call by mid-afternoon, so I contacted HMS, who contacted Bono Plumbing and told me they would be contacting me shortly. Within a few hours they contacted me and we scheduled an appointment for Wednesday. During this call, I specifically explained that I had removed the water supply line, the flush lever and flap, but had stopped before completing it because I discovered the other toilet was also not functioning properly. The person I spoke with said not to worry about putting it back together. I again, specifically expressed concern about voiding the warranty if the toilet wasn't back to its original state and was told that it was not necessary. We had originally scheduled for noon, but when they called to confirm on Tuesday, I had asked if we could move the appointment until around 3:30pm. They were able to get me scheduled for 3:30. The plumber, Bob Bono, the owner, called at about 1:45pm, said he was running early and wondered if we were able to meet him at the house then. My father was able to go over and meet with him. Bob then told my Father, who was unaware of my previous conversation with Bono Plumbing, that because the toilet was disassembled, it voided the warranty and he'd have to charge us for the visit. When my Father questioned that, Bob called the warranty company and told my Father he would charge the $50 deductible for the upstairs toilet, but would have to charge his standard $99 for the visit plus parts for the disassembled toilet. When my Father was confronted with having to pay for parts, he showed Bob the flushmaster flush valve I had purchase from Home Depot, a more expensive duo-flush model that I had intended to return, since I expected the warranty to cover the cost of labor and parts. The duo flush model I purchased was a $29.99 plus tax. A simple full flush valve replacement with all the parts was only $11.49. Bob proceeded to tell my Father that in his 30 years of plumbing he had never seen this commonly available duo flush valve and had no idea how to install it, told my Father that he didn't even think it would work on that toilet. But instead of going out to his truck and getting a new $12 flush valve he scabbed parts off this duo-flush model, adding them to the old flush valve that had been non-functional and repaired the toilet. He then went up stairs to the other toilet and adjusted the old existing flush valve, that had been continually running, until he got it to stop. He spent a few minutes adjusting the drain line under the vanity to stop a leak under it as well. He then charge my Father, instead of invoicing me or contacting me over the phone to get a credit card number, $50 for the deductible and $50 for repairing the toilet by using pieces of my more expensive parts (which he had called junk and still did not result in having a duo flush capability). Bob did not call me to let me know what had been done. When I got to the house after work, the toilet tank cover was still off and laying in the tub and I initially thought maybe he hadn't even shown up. When I found out he charge my Father, and not me, more than I had expected, I called him on his cell phone, but he didn't respond. I asked him to call me. I emailed the warranty company and they called the next morning. Bob has yet to call two days later now. I'm very disappointed with Bono Plumbing. I would have expected at the very least to have had the flush valves replaced, its cheap and easy; instead he spent his time tinkering with the old flush valves that had begun to malfunction and I expect will likely begin to malfunction again since they are relatively inexpensive plastic parts to begin with, and now have bits and pieces from another flush valve that may or may not be fully compatible. There is really not much to the insides of a toilet and with the parts being relatively inexpensive, I can't believe that is was more cost effective or more efficient to tinker with and scab pieces onto an old flush valve. I would never use Bono Plumbing again and I have made that very clear to the warranty company as well. Bob from Bono plumbing came out to repair two toilets and a leaking vanity sink as part of an HMS warranty call. I was very clear that I had started to replace the flush valve, but noticed my other toilet not functioning and decided to call in my warranty. I asked if it was necessary for me to put the toilet back together. Bono said that I told them I didn't know how to put the toilet back together, but that untrue. I actually told them I could easily put it back together since I had only disconnected the supply, removed one plastic nut and slipped the handle off and taken the flapper off. The warranty company said that Bob had told them the toilet was completely disassembled and was sitting in the shower. Completely untrue again. Bono now blames my Father, who is not the warranty holder or the home owner, who was just there to let them into the home, saying he was the one who told them how to do their job. A professional would have contacted me, the owner and asked me what I wanted done given the situation. A professional would have refused to use pieces and parts off a kit he had just called junk. A professional would have contacted me, the owner, to let me know how the repair had gone and then billed me, the owner for the work completed. Bob Bono and Bono Plumbing are obviously not professional. It is not the warranty company that I am disappointed with as Bono Plumbing suggested in their response to me, it is the poor work and unprofessional manner in which they handled this job. Bono Plumbing indicated that Bob never got my voicemail, but even after responding to my complaint here on Angie's list, they have not called me back, instead suggesting that I should call them again. Whether the job is a $50 warranty deductible, $99 service call, or a $10,000 bathroom overhaul, I would expect that courtesy at the very least. I'm not certain what the warranty paid for this service call, but my portion was supposed to only be a $50 deductible. Bob had told my Father that a standard service call was $99. Bob was at the house for less than an hour and some of that time was on the phone with the warranty company. So, Bob got his $99 for his service call plus whatever the warranty agreement was and, yes they threw in a $3 flapper... Thanks!

We do not have an emergency phone number because we don't work on emergency calls at the moment. Our hours are M-F 8-5pm, I assume the warranty company didn’t explain that to you. As per our notes, when you set up the appointment, you expressed that the toilet was taken apart and you didn't know how to put it back together. Our office told you to leave it and we will see what we can do when we come out. Home Warranty Companies do not ever cover anything taken apart or improperly put back together. Most of them only cover items that have failed due to wear and tear and even that depends on the policy you have. I do understand that you were trying to get things fixed before moving into your new house. I apologize if you are upset that your warranty will not cover what you were under the impression they were going to cover. Bob explained that to your father, and your father is the one that insisted Bob put the toilet back using the parts you already had all for the $50. We didn't charge our full service call put it back together and since you already had the parts there. We are a business and can’t work for free, however we did use of our flappers in your toilet that we didn’t charge you for. We charged you $50 for the deductible and $50 for putting the toilet back together plus a flapper we used from our truck for free. Your bill was only $100. In regards to the other toilet, it was explained to your father that the water level was set to high which is why the water kept running. It wasn’t broke so therefore a warranty company is not going to cover to replace it. Again, Bob was explaining everything to your father and doing what he was instructed to do by your father regarding the other toilet that was taken apart. We do apologize for any miscommunication. I thought it was fine until they left and within a day, the gasket failed and started leaking again. They came back out and replaced it with another. However, we then left on vacation for a week only to discover that THAT gasket also failed. Our shower had been leaking for the entire week! Again, they came back out and informed me that they had been using compatible gaskets. They stated that they bought a dozen and 10 out of 12 failed. I guess I felt like I didn't request or agree to using a compatible gasket. I expected a Moen OEM gasket. After all, that is what I thought I was paying for. Very disappointed.

I am very satisfied with Rob and Bono . I will certainly use them again if I have another problem. I feel that Rob went out of his way to get everything taken care of in the hour time frame.
Description of Work: Rob called to say he could come early. Was very prompt.When I told him my problem (leak in kitchen) he looked and said he could fix it easily. He replaced a leaky shut off valve and, since I still had time on my hour (already purchased), he offered to install my new faucet. When checking everything out, he saw a small leak in one of my sinks and replaced the defective part at a nominal cost. I also received a 'senior' discount which was nice. I feel Rob went beyond what I had expected and was very pleasantly surprised and pleased.

Bono plumbing was very easy to get in touch with & they were able to come out 2 hours ahead of schedule, which really helped. However their prices can only be described as price gouging. It took the plumber 5 min to do the repair & I was charged $225!! $99 was for the labor (Angie's List Big Deal) & &126 for the part. When I called to ask about the prices , I was told they only use quality parts from plumbing supply stores & not cheap parts from Home Depot or Lowes. Well I called 3 different plumbing supply stores in the area and the most they charged for the part was $35. So I got robbed!!

I placed the call on 7/26/15 and did not receive a return call until 8/3/15. Normally my plumbing needs are time sensitive so I need to know that a plumber is highly responsive to calls. The only reason I have marked that I would not use the provider in the future is that I have enough good plumbers that I have worked with that I would not bother with someone who took so long to return the call.

Bob came in and was able to identify the problem quickly. He was able to pull the toilet and correct the issue with the collar and wax ring without making a big deal over it. When I asked about other things that could be fixed he gave an honest and quick estimate but didn't try to scary me into having it done immediately. He worked very quickly to resolve the issue at hand and was very friendly while doing it.

They were available same day after the 4th of July weekend and replaced the plumbing under the kitchen sink that was somewhat complicated because of where the outlet pipe was sitting.
