I had a rebuild in Joplin Missouri. Darin was wonderful, attentive and proffesional for the first half of the build. Things began to fall apart. People smoked in my home, a window had to be redone, little things at first. Then big things. Ive spend about 5000 fixing things done incorreclty or left unfinished. He put a chimney in my attic using only double wall with two elbows. This caused a back draft and blew flames 6 inches out the front of the woodstove. In the process he cut several tresses in the attic that I have since had to put supports for, a long with repairing the chimeny. The concrete slabs had to be replaced as did the concrete that was ruined by heavy equipment. The pads were rough, broken, the stairs built on them were falling off the side as the wrong size was poured. The doors he painted were painted with the incorrect paint and it pealed off in spots. The cabinets he put in were scratched in the process. The trim and doors are the wrong color, and have burns and cracks in them. Some of the trim outside is mismatched. Some is white, some off white. Darin walked off the job on the 5th of january without completion. I have no gutters I paid for, no garage door opener. Yard was never graded or seeded. The floors dont meet the walls, the caulking is cracked around all the windows and bathroom tub. My house is not finished yet, was supposed to be done by christmas. Darins workers accidentally ripped out my sewer line clean out and never put it back. At one point when asking about it he tried to convince me it was there. I recently had it put back in. He stated I owed him 2x the money I did. This is not the first time he has had these problems. In 2008 he built a senior citizens building in neosho left it unfinished and work had to be redone. He filed bankrupcty. Be ware. Hes very nice, very convincing.
Description of Work: I was affected by the Joplin ef5. Darin was to rebuild my home in time to cook dinner in it for thanksgiving and move in by christmas.
