 + -1 moreAngie cleaned the door and transom and applied a base coat, stain, glaze and clear coat that took 3 1/2 days. Th result was a Red Oak grain finish that matches my Mirage Red Oak floor. We have received a number of compliments on the door. The cost was $1675 which was comparable to another bid I received from a highly qualified faux painter.
Description of Work: I had a large metal entry door with side panels (both had some glass) and a large half round transom (full glass-wood casing). I wanted to replace it with either a high end wood or fiberglass resembling wood door and transom but the cost was prohibitive ($10,000). My neighbor had Angie Pritchard faux paint their metal door to have an Oak stain finish and it looked great. I was concerned about durability and maintenance. My door gets almost no sun , so it will be low maintenance.
