+ -1 moreRepair was fine. Until he wrote up invoice. The woman on phone assured me it was only going to be $65 for the service call. He charged $75, and when questioned, he explained it was a "hard" repair and he cut himself. (boo hoo). He also charged a flat rate of 10% for tax. When questioned on that later, he said he "read his tax chart incorrectly". Nope, he never read a tax chart. Just did a quick 10% charge..(which is considerably more than the local rate). Very unethical.

+ -1 moreWe were very pleased with Grus, as he was very honest in telling us what had happened and charged only for a service call. We will only use Grus in the future.
Description of Work: Our dryer was making a strange sound and smelled like something was burning. Grus arrived and was able to determine that a tube of chap stick had wedged into an area between the drum and bottom of the dryer leading to the sound and smell. He removed the foreign object and our dryer has worked flawlessly ever since.

+ -1 moreOur washing machine was making a horrific noise and we thought it was going to need to be replaced. Barry found that there was a tube of chapstick stuck underneath the tub. Once removed our washing machine worked fine. He could easily have told us something major was wrong and charged us a far larger amount. As it was he didnt even charge us his standard service call amount! His honesty was very refreshing.
Description of Work: Diagnose a washing machine that was not working.
