Reid's Tree Service

Their pros: quick response, quality work and easy to get to on the phone Their cons: They left equipment in the yard for weeks before they started and weeks after they left. they cut a large tree down that they were not authorized to remove....then wanted to be paid for that work.

I received good service on tree removal several years ago. They were my first choice when I needed tree trimming this year. The quote was prompt and fair. But I was not able to schedule the work and they would not return my phone calls. I had very similar bad experience as the previous reviewer. My guess is that they had other bigger jobs and didn't want to be bothered with my smaller job. But I don't understand why they wouldn't at least answer the phone or return my calls. I think if you get them at a less busy time then you'll probably have a good experience. The first time I used them they did well. But I'll choose a different tree service in future.

The wife said it wouldn't be a problem, but they had been busy due to a tornado two weeks prior and could get me a bid the next day. I gave them permission to come out while I wasn't home to leave a bid, but I didn't see it or any note that they had come out when I got home. I called them to just follow-up and left a message, but they never called back.

I was very pleased with Reid's Tree Service. I have had an issue with trees/bushes/weeds getting out of control this summer. It had gotten beyond the point of my casual maintenance. I called Reid's Tree Service and Paul came out the next day and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. The team arrived to perform the work per our agreement while I was out of town and I was very pleased with the results when I returned home. They did exactly what we agreed upon and I felt the price was fair. I would recommend Reid's Tree Service to other customers.

Mr. Reid responded quickly to our initial call and provided a thorough and complete analysis of our situation. Options were offered where appropriate and a detailed quote and scope of work was provided when he left our property. After reviewing competitive bids/work, we decided to go with this contractor because of the professional review, thorough examination of our specific situation and the extent of the work overall. The crew arrived within a few days of acceptance of the bid and spent the majority of the day doing the work agreed upon. All of the debris was removed promptly. Mr. Reid reviewed the work done, made sure we were satisfied with the job and we paid the bill upon job completion. We were very satisfied with the overall project and will no hesitate to hire Reid's Tree Service again.

From the time I accepted the estimate from Reid's to the time the work was done took several weeks. This was due to the fact that Reid's chipper had been damaged by an automobile that hit it. When the Reid's crew actually did the work, they did a good job. Paul Reid was very conscientious about not damaging my yard with a very large truck with a bucket on it. The tree was triimmed and now has a nice shape to it. Even though they were still without a chipper, my yard and surrounding area were cleaned up very nicely. I would use Reid's again for tree trimming and shaping. They do aim to please.

Paul Reid came out to give us an estimate on tree removal, deadwooding and removal of vegetation. Our property had been neglected for many years and therefore, needed a lot of work done. Altough Paul is extremely knowledgeable about trees and his suggestions were very good, his proposal was extremely highd and not at all competitive. We chose to go with another tree service company that had a very competive bid.

Reid's Tree Service is reliable, well priced, and provides excellent tree trimming and removal. This is the second time we've used them, and they will be the first tree service we call in the future. Very professional and very good at what they do.

Quality of work was very good when they actually showed up. The level of frustration I got from trying to do business with Reids is very very high! We wish them well in the future, but if a project is too small to be worth their time, all we would of asked was to just let us know.

Around the first week of May, I started calling multiple tree services to get bids on having a bunch of work done in my front and back yards. Paul, an owner of Reid"s Landscape Maintenance, Inc., came out pretty quickly (May 9, 2012) to give me a bid. He walked my property with me and gave me words of wisdom on what kind of worked needed to get done on each of my trees and bushes. He shared tips and and little tidbits of information; he sounded very knowledgable. When all the bids came in, Reid's was lower than most and if it wasn't lower we liked the company better. Also, and this helped a little, Angie's had a 10% off coupon we were going to use. When we called Reid's almost 2 weeks later to tell them we were going to hire them, I also gave them a head's up about the coupon. They were a little surprised and confused about the 10% off coupon because they said their new coupon was supposed to be a 5% coupon and that the 10% had run it's course and was supposed to have expired and they had been trying to get that coupon off of Angie's for quite a few months. When I told them I had it in my hands they said ok and were at least glad to know about the confusion of coupons so they could make another attempt to get the expired one off. Paul and his crew arrived on the 24th ready to go to work and whenever he had a question he did not hesitate to call me (I was at work) to ask questions or for my approval. I came home from work and they were finished, even though Paul hadn't thought they would be done before I got home. I walked the yard and everything looked wonderful. They had cleaned up behind themselves and it was neat as a pin.

They did what they said they were going to do. They did a good job. They cleaned it up and they left. I was told that it was a good price.

Reid's estimate was very practical and favorable to the competitors. Also, they completed the work immediately after I called them - no waiting weeks for a time slot to open. Would absolutely use again.

The crew arrives and got directly to work. The trimmed all the limbs agreed to in the proposal. The area below the trees is covered with decorative trees and plantings. No plants or property was damaged during the job. All areas affected were completely cleaned up. The even raked the leaves, which I had not expected, but greatly appreciated.

I called Mr. Reid's business on Monday August 29, 2011 for a bid. Within 2 hours he was at our house. I explained to him what we needed done and he gave us a bid on the spot. I called Mr. Reid back on Wednesday August 31, 2011 to let him know that his bid was accepted. I was told that we would be put on the schedule and they would let me know when they would be out. About an hour and a half later I received a call to let me know that Mr. Reid and his crew were in our neighborhood and would be coming over to start the job that afternoon. They came back the next day and completed the job. They removed dead limbs off of our sycamore tree. It looks wonderful. They also removed and trimmed up a smaller tree in our back yard. This too looks great. Mr. Reid and his crew were professional and a pleasure to work with. They did a great job on the trimming and shaping of the trees. They did a great job cleaning up after they were done.

The overall experience from getting the estimate through completion of the work went smoothly. The work was performed quickly and in a seamless manner. I will use this company again in the future.

Over all it was a good experience, trimmed the limbs we agreed upon. Several of the limbs were fairly high, good safety practices. Would use again. Only only other comment there were a couple of small limbs that I would have had removed if I had seen them. would have been nice if they had brought me out and asked if anything else needed to go. They did perform services for a neighbor who decided he need work done at that time. As stated earlier overall it was a good/excellent experience and they provided the services agreed upon. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

Very good. They do a nice job and didn't complain about having to carry the heavy logs up the hill.

Price was 20% higher than another really top-notch company (fully insured with workman comp, certifications, etc). I have nothing negative to say about them at all, as they were great to deal with. Also, many people at our house had >great< things to say about Reid's tree service when they saw their business card on my counter. I was surprised at how enthusiastic some of them were. Thus, this company has a great reputation. If I hadn't already signed a contract with another company, this feedback would have swayed me to try to negotiate a bit with Reid's on the price.

This is a vacation rental property and I asked the estimator to arrive BEFORE a certain date to avoid interfering with my vacationing guests. This request was ignored, and that was annoying. However it wasn't a big deal. We arrived at a price and we told them they could do the work between Monday and Wednesday. They said they would arrive Monday. They didn't arrive Monday, and didn't call. They finally arrived Wednesday and did the work, which was within our window, so I was satisfied. However I think a phone call to let us know that they changed the work day would have been appropriate and much more professional. Their communication and promptness was a problem, however they did good work once they arrived.

Reid Tree Service 636 946 4446 I don?t know who said, ?a sight to behold? but that is true to me. My Red Maple and Dogwood tree are a picture of beauty. Every other year in the spring I have Reid?s Landscape trim my trees. When I had a question about the Dogwood's bark this spring, they gave me an answer by telephone. If you want perfect, please consider Reid?s as your tree service.

After the initial call, the estimate was given and work completed within the week. Paul Reid is knowledgeable about trees and gave advice on how to keep the big tree healthy while opening up the canopy to get grass to grow beneath. A certificate of insurance liability coverage was presented with the written estimate. His price for work is competitive. The work crew did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. We began using this tree service more than 20 years ago with problematic large trees in the yard of our previous home. Now that our newer home is growing trees, we will be using Paul Reid again when needed.

Came in, did job, and were gone without a leaf left on the ground. Da Vinci would have been proud of their skill and I need say no more.
