Description of Work: Paul Hall and his crew painted our entire kitchen (wall cabinets, island, built-in banquette). The painted cabinets look factory finished ... guests never suspect that they started life as ugly maple cabinets! Fantastic workmanship.

Paul did a great job. He painted the cabinet doors off-site and then spent two days at my house prepping the kitchen for painting and sanded, primed and spray painted the rest of the cabinets. He did a great job. They look new! He and Debbie are very nice people.

I LOVE my kitchen cabinets. Everything went very smoothly. I did obtain estimates from 3 different contractors and Mark's Spray Painting was in the middle. However, I believe the cost was worth it. There were a couple of things that helped me make my decision to choose Mark's; the process that they do and also a personal recommendation from someone that used them. I am so happy with the final result. Paul & Co. picked up all the doors and drawers on January 2nd to take to their shop for processing/painting...they returned on January 16th to work on the cabinet base/frames. They completely sealed off the kitchen from the rest of the house and taped off walls, windows, counters, etc. They filled holes, sanded, primed and painted. They completed the work on January 17th...finished painting, replacing all hardware (pulls & hinges), and hanging doors. I purchased my own pulls, but Paul provided the hinges, which I will say are an excellent quality. My kitchen looks 'new'...I would definitely recommend Mark's.
Description of Work: Painted kitchen cabinets...performed all prep-work; including filling holes, sanding, priming, and painting cabinets. Paul was easy to communicate with and responsive. He gave me an estimate in November 2013, we scheduled work at the end of December for January and the project was complete by mid-January.
Due to extensive family medical problems, the start date was delayed multiple times for around two months. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they may be punctual in the future. Once started they did a great job of painting the cabinets. I was not at all impressed with the glazing job though. It looked like a non-professional antiquing job to me. I asked them to come back and fix some minor places where the glazing job didn't please me and here we are six months later and they have not returned. So if you are just wanting a paint color with no glaze I think you should hire them. If you want a glaze job, think twice.
Description of Work: They sanded, painted and glazed kitchen cabinets. Also filled old door pull holes and installed new hardware.

From the initial contact, Paul was very prompt in getting back to me for estimate. His price was a little higher than other quotes, but, he was able to get to the work right away, so, I hired him. Paul came and picked up cabinets doors and drawers to take to his shop for stripping/sanding and painting. 2 weeks later he returned to finish the job. They sealed off the kitchen with plastic to try to eliminate any dust that might be flying around, then they sanded down the cabinet bases. They were very careful with their prep work, making sure that everything that wasn't to be painted was well covered and wouldn't be effected by over-spray. Once they finished sanding, they cleaned everything off and then spray-painted. They left it overnight so the base cabinets could cure and then returned the next day to finish the job. Doors and drawer fronts were re-installed with beautiful new finish. Paul installed European hinges along with new decorative hardware, so, cabinets look fresh and updated. There were a few minor mishaps (that occur with any construction job), but, overall I was quite pleased with the results and would recommend this company to my real estate clients. The finished product workmanship showcases the fact that Paul has been doing this type of work for many years and he knows what he's doing. Again, the cabinets turned out beautifully and I'm quite happy with my "updated" cabinets. Well done!

It’s been fine so far. He has been actually waiting on me to get my cabinets in. I think, he has been very responsive. He is pretty punctual. I guess there was a misunderstanding on the pricing. The estimate was about $3032.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Mark’s Spray Painting for cabinet refacing. He just left and took my cabinet doors with him. It’s going to take probably 2 to 2.5 weeks before he will be done.

We have a good quality 3x5 ash table with six chairs that are approximately 23 years old and were in need of a finish restoration. The chairs are very detailed with many spindles. We contacted one furniture restorer in St Louis and got an estimate of $2,500, not including delivery, which we thought was quite excessive. Then I saw an add for Marks' Spray Painting in the Angie's List magazine and requested a quote through email which was listed on their website. The next day I got a quote from Paul for $1,000 including delivery. Paul commented that the furniture would be good as new when they completed the work. We coordinated the schedule and Paul said it would take two weeks to complete the work. Exactly two weeks later Paul delivered the furniture and we were completely amazed at the quality of the refinishing. The finish was literally flawless and Paul removed all of the scratches. The finish was as good as new; Paul's comment was not an exaggeration. The actual cost was $1,000.

Paul picked up the doors and drawers on 3/29/12, since these would be painted at his shop. He was back on 4/10/12, as planned from the start, to paint the cabinet frames in our house, a process that would take 4 1/2 days as follows: two full days of prep work to mask off and tarp the area to make sure the paint was only applied where it was intended, and the start of sanding; the third day was more sanding and then painting the cabinet frames; day four included taking the tarp coverings out and removing all the masking, then reinstalling the drawers; the final half day, and the one that really showed how well it turned out, was spent reinstalling the cabinet doors with new soft close hinges and our handles that had been previously removed. The final result was simply awesome...a look even better than we anticipated. Paul did a fantastic job. He was meticulous to say the least, a real perfectionist and delivered outstanding results. We are thrilled with the finished product which will look even better when contrasted with a new darker hardwood floor to be installed next month. If you are considering renovating your home's cabinets, I would highly recommend Paul Hall at Mark's Spray Painting.
Description of Work: We first met with Paul of Mark's Spray Painting on 3/17/12. We discussed spray painting our kitchen cabinets, a process we had not previously considered until we met. He went over the details of what to expect from start to finish and gave us a written estimate on the spot. We were very impressed with his extensive experience, friendly personality and straight-forward approach. We were sold, but thought it was prudent to get another bid. After doing so, we chose Mark's to do the work for us. In addition to our kitchen cabinets, which included cabinets at a dry bar, a center island and a built-in desk, we also chose to do a small vanity in a powder room. All together, we had 36 cabinet doors and 25 drawers to be painted along with the cabinet framework.

I’ve used them about five or six times because they are excellent. They aren’t the cheapest but they are an excellent, family-owned business. They take a long time during the busy season so you need to book ahead; he kept me informed the whole time.
Description of Work: Mark’s Spray Painting painted all of my kitchen cabinets. They painted the inside, the outside, and took the doors off site to paint them. They did small repairs as well.

The tile looks excellent! All of the other contractors on the kitchen commented on how well it turned out. It does not look like the tile was painted; the tile has the same gloss that a glass ceramic tile has. And best of all, the old, dingy grout is now gleaming. So far, it has been easy to clean. To remove the tile(and the resulting wall repair)would have cost thousands of dollars. Painting the tile was a much more economical solution, and it looks brand new!
Description of Work: Prepped and spray painted 1950's wall tile in our kitchen(estimated at 130 sq. feet). Used epoxy paint.
