Description of Work: We were in a bind because our sump pump broke as we were heading out of town. I was able to arrange for my 19 year old daughter to meet the plumber after we left. Water was frozen in the pipes so all he could do was replace the pump and explain to my daughter how to thaw the pipes and start the pump later. He charged a half hour more than the hour I was quoted, but since I wasn't there I couldn't argue. I was just grateful that it worked once my daughter and neighbor were able to thaw things out and get it started.

Description of Work: OJ Laughlin replaced a sump pump in our home at a time when heavy rains caused flooding nearby. I was pleasantly surprised when they came to the house so quickly after my call. I requested a pump with battery backup, which they do not carry on their truck, but they advised what type of supplementary pump/battery to buy on my own. They returned on time a few days later and installed everything, including a new primary pump attached to the supplementary battery-operated one. The technician was prompt, professional, and courteous, and did the job in a reasonable amount of time, including complete cleanup afterward.

Description of Work: It was over a year ago and I use a different company now. They are good but I think they are quite expensive. I have an unresolved problem with one bathroom sink that no plumber has been able to fix. That includes them so I don't hold it against them. | They sent a subcontractor to help drain basement backup of water. I really don't remember the issue other than that.
