The man who answers the phone was very polite and helpful. The repairman arrived on a damp day and put on paper booties every time he came into the house. Now that's considerate. He dug out both faucets in no time, replaced the washers, and then found his choice of washers didn't do well. He had to redo them, but he stopped his time at the point where he had to start over. He showed me the approximate bill (materials would be added at the office, but he estimated that part at a buck or two), and said I would be invoiced. He was pleasant, though he got rained on for about 5 minutes (he was prepared for that, too).

They showed up when they said they would, fix everything, and cleaned up after they were done. They also went out of their way to run over to our church and fix an urinal after they left us.

They were very accommodating. The first call they offered to come on a Saturday but said it would cost more and asked, did we want to do that or wait. Then they had to be rescheduled by us on the original day we requested service (due to a medical emergency) and when we called to set up another appointment they actually asked how my wife was doing, having remembered what had happened. Then the day when they were supposed to come, they were running late as the prior job ran way over and it would run into overtime. They were very apologetic and made a run first thing in the morning. The service man was very nice, pleasant, and courteous. He did an excellent job and cleaned up well. He did tell us our dishwasher needed some corrections to keep this from happening again. They don't do that kind of work. Overall, we were very pleased.

Tech was prompt and professional, responded quickly to my call and they showed up on time.

I spoke with Karen on Thursday afternoon. I was pretty sure no one could come over the next afternoon. I was wrong. Karen called at 11:30 Friday morning and told me Chris would be over the same afternoon. She called back at 12:30 to tell me Chris would arrive at 1:30. "It took long enough," I joked with her. Chris arrived at 1:30 and was very friendly and did a great job replacing the faucet. I showed him another plumbing project, and he explained what I could do to prep for the work. That would save them time and me money. I couldn't be more pleased with the convenience, the work and worker. We really didn't know that the faucet could work as well as it is.

They gave us an estimate only ($2,380.00).

He was very professional and did a good.

They came out within a few days. He noticed that one of the faucets upstairs wasn't working right and he had the part on the truck and he ended up fixing it for us, for us a small fee. They didn't require payment that day, they just sent bill which was nice.

I was calling a bunch of plumbers because when I went down into my basement that morning there was water spraying (luckily in the unfinished part) from a copper tubing pipe. OJ Laughlin plumbing was quick to respond and said they'd call as soon as they had someone available to take the call. They called back quickly and sent Brian right away. They were quick to answer, honest in their limitations, and friendly to deal with. I will keep their number for future use.

Brian was friendly and professional, although he did arrive a half-hour late. He got right to work and was able to complete all 3 jobs satisfactorily. Unfortunately, all 3 jobs ended up being more complicated than predicted. To fix the toilet leak, Brian ended up having to saw off the top of a cast iron stack that had rusted through and replace it with a PVC version. That took some time. He also discovered that most of our tank hardware (gaskets, ballcock, etc.) was deteriorated and so, had to replace that (we never check that stuff and probably should.) To fix the leaky valve under the sink, he had to saw out a section of the copper tubing and replace it. And, to repair the leak in the pipe to the outside faucet, he ended up not only having to replace the run of pipe out to it, but also the faucet head. We ended up needing a lot of parts that added up to $70+ and the labor totaled 3.25 hours. The bottom line: we spent more than we wanted but are pleased with the results.

I called around 8:30 in the morning to make an appointment and was told that a plumber would be able to take care of me later that day. The plumber actually called about an hour later to say that he was on the way (which was fine for me)! The work was performed professionally and quickly, and the plumber was very careful to keep the work area clean.

Company sent out a drain company to auger the main stack however, he felt the problem was with each toilet. He augured both toilets until they flushed properly. Six weeks later the main bathroom toilet backed up again and a plumber was sent to the house. Once again, that toilet was augured. The toilet appears to be working however, somewhat sluggish.

They do what they say they will do. They were clean and showed up on time. The worker was a nice guy and did good work. They also had good service over the phone.

They came before time 7:30am, they performed their tasks and our shower works like new again! I would recommend these guys to anyone, and we will definitely call them again. Excellent work.

We had been experiencing drain backup for months, despite several attempts with a 50-foot drain snake and various tree-root-killing procedures. We finally gave up and decided to consult a plumber, which led us to Angie's List and, eventually, OJ Laughlin. They came out within 1 day of our first call, consulted with us on the problem, then worked on it for about an hour and a half. They were very professional, friendly, and efficient and we've had no problems since. We would definitely use them again!

Everything was great. They called first thing on the Monday following my e-mail inquiry to schedule the appointment. They were able to get us in quickly. The repairman (Brian?) was on time, courteous, and explained why our disposal was not working.

I was very pleased with the overall experience. The worker was very careful to not damage home walls, spread covering on the floor in the work area, and wore protective shoe covers to prevent soiling carpet. The worker was very efficient and did repairs in the least possible time. He was also very willing to explain what he was doing and why.

It took two trips, but I can now fill my Jacuzzi in three minutes instead of three hours, and showering is great!

Great response. Initial phone inquire was handled professionally and appointment made in timely manner. Service man arrived as scheduled and completed work in one hour. Courtesy and cleanliness was apparent from the get go. Knowledge and experience obvious. No mess left behind.

One of the best experiences with a contractor. The plumber was courteous and took care of all of our problems in a timely manner.

After the looking at the bathroom believed to be causing the problem, everything looked in order and the plumber assessed that some re-caulking and re-grouting was needed. He gave us tips on how to do this. While he was here we had all three bathrooms checked out and decided to replace the inner parts of all three toilets; 2 of them had be running on a continual basis. He was very pleasant and we would absolutely use them again.

Mike installed ice maker in new refrigerator. He was scheduled be my house 7:45 a.m. and he knocked door right on time. He had to drill a hole in the floor down into basement to hook ice-maker into waterline. I had unfinished basement so make easy for him do. Mike was in and out house by 9:00 a.m. Very nice person work with. Would be happy to work with this company again if I have plumbing problems and need help.

I was very impressed by his efficiency and knowledge. He pointed out a couple of things that could possibly be problems in the future. He gave the information I needed to contact the water heater company on a water heater that is leaking and was just installed in July. I will definitely use them in the future and would recommend them to my friends. He was done in 1 hour and was right on time. If I don't have any luck with the water heater company, I will use them to replace the water heater.
