Tom had taken my cell phone number so that he could call when the workman was on the way. This is a nice service since I didn't have to sit at home and wait for the workman. Tom called later in the week and said Curt was on the way so I drove home. Curt arrived with everything he needed. He was cordial and worked without leaving a mess. On time, capable, clean and polite is what I look for when I have work done at my home and this was all that!

The stack cleaning was great - he went in through the roof and cleared out everything to the main line at the street. The other plumbing issues reviewed but no work done. I really appreciated the tech's (forgot his name) honest opinion about how to best go about fixing a few issues and what I can do until I put the effort into the fix.

Scheduled appointment by email. Received phone call next morning to schedule. Plumber came within a couple days. Everyone was very professional and nice to work with. They fixed the leak and cleaned everything up when finished.

THE DAY BEFORE LEAVING BEFORE VACATION,OUR SINK DECIDED TO BACKUP,WHICH LED TO A HUGE LEAK WITH WATER EMPTYING IN THE BASEMENT.LAUGHLIN AGREED TO MEET MY SON AND FIX THE PROBLEM WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN.WHEN WE RETURNED,THE PROBLEM APPEARED FIXED,BUT I WAS CURIOUS JUST WHAT EXACTLY WAS DONE,AS THE SINK HAD BEEN INSTALLED BY A REMODELER ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND I WANTED TO TRY TO RECOVER SOME OF THE COST FROM THEM IF THE PROBLEM OCCURRED DUE TO THEIR ERROR. I CALLED TWICE TRYING TO GET AN EXPLANATION OF EXACTLY WHAT I WAS PAYING FOR.THE FIRST CALL WAS RETURNED,BUT THE EXPLANATION WAS INCOMPLETE AND UNSATISFACTORY. BOB LAUGHLIN SAID HE WOULD HAVE THE PLUMBER WHO DID THE WORK CONTACT ME,AND EXPLAIN. BUT I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM,AND BOB LAUGHLIN DID NOT BOTHER TO FOLLOW UP.

I think everything was covered in the previous paragraph. Our problem was not too complicated. The only thing I omitted was that he requested that I sign the Work Order Authorization before starting any work. In our case it did not seem unreasonable to sign it.

Could not possibly be more pleased. From the first contact to the amount on the bill, we were very glad we called this company. They were courteous, anxious to help us out, professional to a fault, efficient and skilled. The supply house they referred us to was quite helpful. (We asked for a referral because we have learned NOT to buy plumbing fixtures at the discount hardware outlets. Even their "brand" names such as Kohler and Moen are cheaply made to "discount" specs. The faucet we had replaced was from one of the discount hardware store Moen that didn't last 5 years.) They scheduled a call promptly and with consideration for my schedule. The plumber, Mike, arrived exactly on time, neatly dressed in jeans and a polo shirt. Put down a drop cloth to wipe his feet and another to protect the floor in my kitchen. These guys are the best and deserve all the praise that has been heaped upon them.

The plumber was very knowledgeable and professional. He was very articulate. They got back to us quickly on a couple of things. They even had great recommendations to save some money.

They came when they were supposed to, the service man was polite and professional, and completed the work in one day. We had trouble with one of the faucets leaking. I called and they came back and fixed the problem.

They were good, they were friendly, efficient & clean and they came quickly. I would use them again.

Great company. I made the appointment for a few days out (not an emergency). Not only did they call the night before to confirm, but the plumber called when he was on his way and showed up on time. He also showed my husband how to replace the cartridge in the shower control should it happen again, then fixed some other minor plumbing issues as stated above. Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Would call them again without hesitation.

They were a very professional company, the man who came out was very professional as well. I would hire them back out for work in the future.

Made an appointment for replacement of shower valve and estimate for further work. Gave available times I would be off work and made an amicable appointment within a week. Mike arrived at appointed time. I showed him what needed to be done and after explaining that he'd have to make a hole in the wall, I gave him my blessing and the work was done expeditiously and with a little extra. Mike said, "This is the way I would have done it." Excellent and clean job. Mike returned the following week...got in, did the work, cleaned up and got out. Wonderful work, Mike. (I feel like I had my own personal plumber!)

I emailed the contact listed at 9 pm on a Thursday and had received a phone call before 8 am on Friday morning. We then scheduled an appointment for between 12-2 on Monday. Mike called ahead so that I could meet him at the house and we met at about 12:30. He completed all work within about an hour to an hour and a half (don't remember exactly), was extremely helpful in explaining the problems and recommending practical solutions (not always the most expensive solutions, either). He was prompt, professional, pleasant, and respectful of my home bringing a blanket to clean off his boots and specifically asking if he could come in through the garage to the kitchen when he saw that there was another entrance that didn't involve walking across the carpet.

OJ Laughlin was extremely prompt and squeezed us in on a Friday to reignite our hot water heater even though the original appointment wasn't until the following Tuesday. The plumber came back out to install a replacement kitchen faucet and fix an outdoor spigot that wasn't working at all. He was prompt and knowledgeable and fixed both things. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Repair performed as requested, however, it took a while to get the appointment times set up (took about 4 weeks) because they were too busy to come out except for late afternoons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Would have preferred more prompt service, especially since the leaking valve posed a freeze/burst pipe risk if closed off, or excessive water loss if left open. However, just to be fair, the first time they were to come out I had an emergency and we could not be home at the time, so the initial delay was partly my fault.

Making the appointment: prompt attention and courteous service from the person I spoke with on the phone. The service call: The service person arrived right on time, looked at the water heater and said I didn't need to do anything to it unless I was having problems. He didn't recommend flushing it because he said many times after that's done, the heater will leak. He also knew right away that my heater was part of a line manufactured in the mid 1990s that experienced dip tube failure. He explained exactly what that meant and said if I hadn't had any problems with the water heater then I was one of the lucky ones. He told me exactly what symptoms would indicate the dip tube was failing so I could watch out for them. He was courteous and professional and didn't try to sell me on a service, or new water heater, I didn't need. Also, when I told him I found the company on Angie's List he told me about a coupon they were offering. Estimated cost was $85.

I first called the company and left a message. Soon after calling, Mr. Laughlin got back to me, he was very polite, I mentioned on the phone I was a member of Angie's List. He said he would find one of his drain guys and get back to me, he called back soon to say one was on the way. He came within two hours of the initiating call. He was there for a little less than an hour. He gave me a discount for being on Angie's List. Then a week or so later they sent us another check for $15. The work was fast, efficient, friendly and a good deal. We were very satisfied and are recommending them to our friends.

After having him here the first time, I will not worry about calling another plumber again. He's clean, polite, efficient, and I will use him from now on.

We found half of our basement (adjacent to the drain) filled with about an inch of water and my wife freaked out. I placed one call to Laughlin, the call was answered on about two or three rings, and, we had somebody at our home from Laughlin's Sewer Contracting Partner within 8 hours. THIS WAS RIGHT AFTER A HUGE RAIN AND THE DEMAND FOR PLUMBERS WAS SKY HIGH. We have a home protection warranty that we got with the new home we are living in and their representative offered to have someone come out in 48 hours. So much for the warranty! It was a joke. Rather than fret, we called OJ LAUGHLIN and they took care of business. ONE THING WE LEARNED FROM THEIR TECHNICIAN THAT MANY PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW: Never flush disposable wipes down your toilet. Unlike toilet paper, these wipes are made of a material that does not break down and the net effect is that you will eventually have a backed up sewer system because of these wipes. Take the time to dispose of them in the trash.

Set date and time for service. Told them he could come earlier if possible. Tom called and said Mike would be out in about 1/2 hour which was earlier than original scheduled and very acceptable. Mike showed up, showed him the work needed. Mike made suggestions, and was very knowledgeable, completed the work in a VERY professional and timely manner. Price was quoted and accepted of service call, labor + parts. Cost of $160 + parts. Laughlin will be sending a bill for the final total. Nice to due business with a company that is not trying to rip off the public. Honest and fair in all respects. Mike even offered some advice on the remodel of our kitchen work of how and where to install certain items. Very helpful.

I was really impressed with OJ Laughlin. This was the second time I used them. The plumber arrived on time, and was courteous and friendly. He told me that the toilet really needed to be replaced, and showed me what was wrong with it. He explained why it would be difficult to fix, and why it would be in my best interest just to replace it. He diagnosed and fixed the kitchen faucet quickly. I liked the fact that the plumber didn't talk down to me. Instead, he treated me with respect and gave me honest information. OJ Laughlin is now the plumber I always call.

The plumber was very knowledgeable, explained what he was doing very well, and was professional. He cleaned up after himself and wiped his feet several times whenever he came into the house. The plumber was very competent and personable.

Three weeks later, the line backed up again. I sent an email to Tom at O J Laughlin and then I called him to provide further explanation of why I was unhappy. He made sure the line was cleaned out to our satisfaction and there was no charge for this. He also followed up afterwords to make sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. Although I admit to disappointment with the original technician, I am pleased that the owners care about their reputation and go the extra distance to make things right afterwords. The technician who came for the follow-up was very courteous and helpful. In fact, he informed us of a program sponsored by the city that could help us to get the underlying blockage (a systemic problem outside of our house but under our yard) corrected at minimal cost to us. He came right out and figured out the problem. They got it down right away, without trying to take advantage of me. The person they sent out was absolutely wonderful.

Arrived promptly at the time promised. Mike was very pleasant and professional. Quickly took care of problem.
