OJ Laughlin Plumbing Co Inc

On Saturday, we found water gushing into the basement. I saw a valve next to where the water was coming out so we turned it and it seemed to shut off the water leak. We went on Angie's List and called the top 5 plumbers. They all called us back, but OJ Laughlin stayed on the phone with us and made sure we were ok. They tentatively set up the first appointment of the day for Monday. They were here by 7:45am Monday morning, identified the problem and had it fixed by 9:30am. The plumber that came was very nice and relaxed. He came to our house first so he didn't have invoices in the truck. He said they will bill us. The only thing is, I have no idea how much it will be, but I am very, very happy with their response to my "emergency" as well as their response time for fixing it. Water in a house is an anxious experience for a homeowner. They were so great on the phone and never once made us feel "stupid" for being highly concerned. They treated us with nothing but respect and grace. They have definitely earned our return business. Thank you!

We needed an estimate for rough in plumbing in our basement and were looking for several estimates. Our neighbor recommended this company because he called them in an emergency and was very pleased. I called one of the numbers and left a msg with a woman who said she would pass it on the the appropriate person. No response for a week. I called the other number provided and left a msg. Finally, someone called back, only to ask again what service we needed performed. I explained and was told he would pass the msg on to someone else who makes the appointments. It has been almost 2 weeks and no call. Are they so well off they can't even bother calling back to say they're too busy to schedule any more work. Or is this what you can expect when the work is finally scheduled. NO THANKS. There are plenty of good, hungry people who want the need the work.

The service tech came in, accessed the problem quickly and replaced the worn part. All work is was done in less than 30 minutes. While the price maybe high, but I was not sure if there was a bigger problem.

They are really good. They are very knowledgeable. They were careful about coming in and making sure they didn’t make any mess. The guy who was doing the work checked back with the office frequently to make sure that everything was correctly completed.

I said it all with my previous comments!! OJ Laughlin Plumbing did an EXCELLENT JOB!!! I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN FOR ANY PLUMBING NEEDS, AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE IN THE GREATER ST. LOUIS AREA LOOKING FOR THE SERVICES OF AN EXCELLENT PLUMBER!!!!

Everything went well as usual. I have used Laughlin on several occasions, and it always does excellent work. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Toilet was leaking badly. Called the company and they were able to come out the same day. It was determined that the toilet drain connection seal was broken. The repairman removed the toilet, installed a new connection and seal. He tested for leaks and completed the job

They did a great job, but their prices were very high. They charged me $300.00, even though the parts they used cost about $93.00

Very well. I had used O.J. Laughlin before for a plumbing issue. I found them using Angie's list and they were great. I noticed my water heater was leaking. I called them and spoke to them on the phone. The service tech asked me a few questions and was able to give me a quote on the phone. The workers came right on time. They took care to explain what they would do and were very polite. They were very careful and clean. They even put down drop clothes on the floor when they took the old water heater out of the house in case it leaked.

Their service was great. They were very thorough and updated some things. They also cleaned up after themselves. The price was competitive.

I was not happy with how the old hot water heater tank was drained prior to removal. The Plumber became impatient with how the tank was draining through the hose and decided to remove the hose and faucet and divert the water through a hand held PVC elbow to a floor drain. The floor drain apparently could not handle that much water and resulted in the basement being partially flooded. We had carpet remnants that we use as throw rugs that got wet and a closet under the stairs that got wet. The remainder of the job was done in a professional job manner.

Had a great experience. Brian Schweiss was the plumber that came out both times - great guy. Very professional and personable at the same time. This is one of the best contractors i have ever hired.

I got hem of Angies List and we were very pleased with their service. Everything was perfect. They were friendly, right on time, did a great job and no complaints whatsoever. I recommend them and have done the same to a few colleagues in my office. We got a good deal; they used quality products and did a great job.

OJ Laughlin is a super expensive plumber(almost 80% more than other professional plumber)! The total price to replace water heater(electric, 19 gallons) was around $1,050. I got the same water heater replaced for a total of around $600. OJ Laughlin also wanted two to three business days to replace this water heater. In a commercial setting this type of delay is totally unacceptable. They don't seem to understand the urgency!! I have used OJ Laughlin several times in the past for small repairs. In these situations, they worked out well. Looks like they can't handle big and time sensitive jobs very well.

The last project that we worked with OJ Laughlin Plumbing Co Inc was for a condo building and there were six units. We deal with the condo association a lot and the president at that time gave an estimate for plumbing and it was $13,000 and we paid two zero lines. And that's why I told OJ Laughlin Plumbing Co Inc and I wanted to get another estimate and they send someone out.

Prompt response. On time and professional. Helped quickly assess the situation and resolve. When they discovered there were issues with the subfloor they couldn't address, they immediately let us know and advised us on what to expect and how best to proceed.

They were a bit high but they did a good job. They were number one in Angie’s List. They showed up ahead of time and told me what needed to be done to come a while to figure it out but once they figured it out they got the job done. They did a good job. They also gave me Angie’s List discount as well. It was little over an hour’s work. I would refer them to anybody.

They were good and their pricing was average and usual. They came when they said they would and on time. I would use them again in the future.

It went fine. He said he would arrive between 9 and 10 and he arrived about 10. I was a little anxious, because I was taking off from work. He took his time and addressed all that needed to be addressed, then he pointed out another problem area (loose tiles in tub area, which also allowed leakage to the basement). It took him about 3 hours to complete, and he tried to do it without breaking the cabinet - which was tricky, because there was not a lot of room to work. Although I had gotten an estimate from another plumber, I'm not sure if the other plumber realized what was involved. So, where I thought the charges were a little high, they may have been comparable, for the work that was done.

They did a good job in fixing the leak in the toilet.

I called, I was sent to other people, then to a voice mail. Left info, no call back for 2 weeks. Failure.

It was a mixed bag. The quality of the work was good, but I felt I was overcharged for labor. Everything else worked out very well.

The pricing was a little high, but they were prompt. I give them a "B" overall.

They were awesome. They coordinated with the flooring people and everything just worked out perfectly. It all happened at the same day and the same time. I was impressed. I would use them in the future.
