English Sweep came highly recommended by our HVAC guy and it makes perfect sense why! I couldn't be more pleased with the ultimate professionalism, customer service, and quality of work we received from them. From the initial phone call to set up the inspection, to the service technician who did the inspection, to the 2 technicians who came to do the work today... top-of-the-line service all the way around! This is the first time I've ever used this type of service, and they made the entire experience painless. The estimate technician was very thorough in his explanation of the work that needed to be done, using the pictures that he took during his inspection. The technicians who did the work were respectful not only of our property but to me as well. They did such an amazing job of cleaning up after themselves, that one wouldn't even be able to tell we had work done (aside from our shiny new vents and tee). I can't speak highly enough of this business, and I will be sure to recommend them as much and as often as I can.

The technician was great, however the office staff are AWFUL! Warning - pay by check ONLY DO NOT give a credit card, my card was charged without authorization! Also, please do yourself a favor and make sure you record all conversations with scheduling and reception staff as things were "forgotten" at the detriment of the customer. I personally would give my business to someone else.

Where have we come to in 2022? What should be the norm is now entirely unexpected. It was thus a very pleasant surprise to have an honest, individual to deal with. Having moved into a new house which had not been appropriately taken care of by the previous owner, we thought we needed to have our fireplaces and chimneys cleaned prior to installation of fireplace doors. Jeff arrived on time, was extremely polite and quickly assessed our planned usage of the fireplaces. He then advised us that all we needed were the fireplace doors thus saving us from unnecessarily spending money on the cleaning. Thank you Jeff. We appreciate your honest assessment and advice. You are the only person we would call, if our fireplaces or chimneys should need any attention in the future.

Russ came out early after calling to see if that was ok. Since the work is done inside he covered my furniture and used a vacuum so I didn't have any mess. He reviewed my whole chimney inside and out plus the firebox. He took pictures, showed me where I had problems, explained how they could be fixed and later in the day e-mailed me estimates for the work that needed to be done.

English Sweep did an excellent job cleaning both fireplaces. We have white carpet throughout our home and were worried that soot would stain the carpet. When the work was complete, there was no evidence of soot anywhere! Once they completed the sweep, the sweep did a thorough inspection. A detailed inspection report with photos explaining damage that was found was emailed to us the next day.

They did a great job, they cleaned and inspected both fireplaces as requested and gave a detailed inspection with pictures showing damage with a quote that was emailed 24 hours later. We have white carpets throughout our house and I was worried that they would be stained. I could not see any evidence of soot when the work was finished.

We're very satisfied with the cleaning and inspection service performed. Pictures of the fireplace, flue, and outdoor pictures of the chimney and cap were all taken and recorded for future reference, which we thought was very thorough. An email was sent to us, where the pictures can be viewed along with the status report and invoice. They asked to schedule our next cleaning based on usage, and will notify by email prior. Prompt, courteous, professional, efficient, and clean.

Had two chimneys cleaned, they were on time and done within 2 hours

Cleaning comprised of just reaching up arms length from the hearth and brushing by a small handheld brush & vacuuming a bit afterward. None of the tools and circular brushes wheeled-in were utilized. Thereafter, a trip to the roof for inspection confirmed 16-yr knowledge of ill fitting chimney top. Measurements & pics were taken and informed I would be contacted regarding finding proper top. (Shouldn't be that difficult as the neighborhood has 498 homes w same exact chimney inserts.) Never heard back. $200 for WDing a handle & reaching up & brushing around/vacuuming a bit. Not very friendly either.

the bid was higher than another company, but they could come right away and do the work before the weekend. The man that cleaned the fireplaces was very organized and kept everything amazingly clean even when working with a lot of soot buildup.
