Fantastic!! Work performed in a timely manner and done to perfection.

Upon calling Allens Tree Service we received prompt response to review our trees, followed by prompt service. The office personnel and field representatives were very courteous. We were not left wondering when they were coming out or how much it would cost. All round very pleased.

Tree was cut down. Stump was not and has not been removed. Upon cutting the down the tree, the crew asked for the complete full amount. The price of stump removal was included in the amount. The explanation was, "the stump guy follows up the next day to remove the stump." It has now been a week and the company will NOT return my phone calls. I have called 3 or 4 times.

I requested a quote online and a person was there to give a quote that day. The work they did was excellent and speedy. My tree is tall and was hanging over my neighbors yard, my house and had large broken limbs and they had no problem with that. They did a great job and the clean up was wonderful. Overall, the services performed and price were very good. The one complaint I have is that there is a huge pile of debris left from the stump grinding of my oak tree. I have to admit I have not called the company on this but it has been a busy week on my end. On a positive note, Ted and James have been quick to answer calls and communicate. I would use them again but I was not expecting a big pile of oak tree mulch in my front yard.

No issues. Now we just wait to see if it will help the tree.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They promptly came out to give me a bid and were quite courteous and fair to work with. Their bid was a lot lower (~ half) than another company (who had a coupon that was mailed in those coupon packs). It is good to get a couple bids as the "other" company was way higher! The work done by County Tree Service was as agreed upon, they cleaned up and I LOVE the results. This company is a keeper and I will give them my tree work in the future. Thumbs up!!

I contacted Ted Hooss a couple weeks after the storm, so he was booked solid. He did come out on a Saturday to remove the debris from my yard and take out the bushes. As usual, he left no mess, which means he cleaned up nicely. I plan on using him a third time to top off my very tall tree in my yard. Ted was a joy to work with, polite and very friendly.

They were on time, very polite and cleaned up our yard. You would have never known they were here, except the dead tree was gone from the yard. It was a large tree which made it dangerous to have near our neighbors driveway.

The work was well done, including cleanup. The tree removal, stump grinding, and dirt delivery were done on different days but in the same week (May 29-June 1). The self-propelled, remote controlled stump grinder was impressive, doing the job with minimum disturbance to the lawn.

We hired County Tree to clean up a fallen tree after a huge storm. They quickly took care of everything. I was so impressed I decided to get a bid for several other tree issues in our yard. Ted (owner) stopped by and gave us a bid. The bid consisted of 3 different priced options, depending on how much work we wanted done. We agreed I would call him once we made a decision. Over the course of a couple weeks, my wife and I both called Ted several times to ask a few follow-up questions before locking in the job. We left messages with his staff, plus voicemails on his cell. No response. Then one day I get a knock on the door. County Tree has arrived to do all the work! I told them to stand down since we hadn't confirmed anything with Ted. If I hadn't been home to stop his team, they would have done the most expensive option on the bid. Later that day Ted called my wife and yelled at her, claiming we cost him money for sending the crew away. The situation would've been avoided with simple communication and customer service.

Wonderful! We were able to get a quote quickly, and the price was amazingly low! The guys who took the trees down were efficient, careful, and professional. The only downside was it was hard to get ahold of them, and there was no call to confirm our appointment time and date. Would definitely use again!

They came on time and are professional. They left sawdust but that can't be helped.

I called for an estimate on Monday. Ted called me and came by on Wednesday. Coincidentally, he had a crew doing work for two neighbors on my street. He briefly examined the pear trees and I showed him the ash. He thought with the lean, the proximity of its branches to the house, and the susceptibility of the type to breakage it would be advisable to remove the tree. He offered to take $45 off the price if I had it done today since his crew was already nearby. Unfortunately, I read the estimate sheet as "trim and shape" the trees when in reality it said "TOP and shape." I learned on the website for County Tree Service itself that topping trees is "extremely harmful to trees." (screenshot attached) I am confused as to why the company's site would talk about avoiding a practice and then offer it as the default service option. I did not specifically ask for topping although I did not refuse it. I was not home when the crew started work so I didn't see the damage to the trees until it was too late. One of the trees had almost its entire canopy removed and looks very unsightly. The other still looks like a tree despite the topping. (Photos attached) The removal of the tree was prompt and neat. I can only tell it was there by the stump. I might consider County Tree Service for cleanups and removals, but I would not let them work on live trees again.

Had a appointment for Saturday 6-4/16 at 9am, at 10am I called him(Chuck) not only did he not show up he has never returned my call.

Three years before, I had them do a large Oak tree cleaned out, remove two overgrown holly trees including stumps, removed another small tree, and remove two large branches from a large Silver Maple tree. All of this work cost roughly 800$. The tree clean out was not great but I overlooked it because they did such a great job with everything else. My bid today for the same Oak tree to be cleaned out and 1 large branch to be removed from the Silver Oak was $975! Ridiculous, especially in light of our unannounced encounter this morning.

These guys were awesome. After getting some astronomical bids for just limb cleanup, the guys from County Tree came out and just gave us a straightforward bid for more work and it was dramatically less than the others. Not only that, but they suggested we really should remove our sweet gum in front instead of just trimming it, which no one else even suggested. Thank goodness they did, as it was completely hollow and could have really destroyed a car or worse if it came down on its own. We have other work to do, and plan to use them again and would definitely recommend to others. They were professional, on time, and friendly.

I was very pleased with their work. The cleaned up the job site very well. They exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them.

They were punctual but did a very poor job of deadwooding the maple in the third island and barely trimmed any of the other trees. I called to complain and they came back and once again did a very minimal job although I had asked for the trees to be cut back a lot. We hired another company to do the job this past year and they did exactly what I was hoping County would do. I would not use them again.

It was a time when there were horrible storms and stuff so everybody was super backed up. I found them on Angie's List because I have never heard of them before. The service was good. They did not quite do everything that the estimator said but we were so happy with their work.

The tree came down without any trouble. After the tree was down and loaded, I was asked if I wanted the stump ground out. I said yes and paid an extra $50 for this service. I was told they would have to come back later with the proper equipment. I have not heard from them since. I called and have not received a return call. I am still trying to contact them.

We got three bids, and County was the least expensive. Even though we'd never used them before we decided to give them a shot. Overall, we were very pleased with the work. They were courteous and friendly. The large maple tree was in the center of a garden filled with flowering shrubs and other plants, and they took great care in not trampling the rest of the garden while bringing down the tree. Very minimal damage was sustained by the surrounding plants. I had a little trouble sometimes connecting by telephone to arrange scheduling, but I think it was mainly because with the recent storms they were swamped with calls.
