We have worked with Mike for over 5 years. He has consistently been reliable, professional and more than competent. Inevitably, our projects end up involving some sort of repair and Mike has always been willing to take on that added responsibility. He is punctual, skilled, and dependable. He told us this project would take a few days, and it did. He even repaired part of our chimney and dormer in the process. We have recommended him to many friends and family--all of whom have been more than satisfied and now have Mike as their go-to painter.

Mike came out in the Spring for estimate and explained the work and I received a written estimate a couple of days later and we agreed on the fall for the work to be done. Terrific job, very professional. highly recommend.

Mike Duff provides everything one would want in a painter. He is highly skilled, punctual, tidy, and entirely reliable. In fact, we left our house keys with him so he could finish the job while I was out of the country on business. Its also noteworthy that Mike does all this for entirely reasonable rates. He is a young guy who is in the process of establishing his company in the St. Louis area, and so he is extremely attentive to customer service. We would hire him again in an instant.

Mike did fantastic work for both projects, giving us solid advice, helping us make informed decisions, and getting the job done neatly and professionally. HIs bids for both projects were also reasonable and fair. When I needed some paperwork after the fact, he provided it quickly. I would recommend him without reservation.

Mike and his team do an excellent job. I first used Mike to paint our family room, which included painting wood paneling (not easy), all the trim, the kitchen walls, and our large foyer and hallway. Mike did an amazing job - at the time, he was a one-man shop. This was a week-long job and Mike was professional, arrived timely, and is very courteous. He is in contact frequently during the job, asking your preferences by text, showing you pictures of the work as it goes. We then had him paint our kitchen cabinets, taking them from maple to white. By this time Mike had added to his team with two additional team members, who are also as nice as can be. The team is clean, thorough, and they have great attention to detail. Mike doesn't just charge by the hour, too - he comes back always at the end to review all his work, which is over and above. We love working with him and, which is important to many people who work, we completely trust him in our home.

Mike and his crew did a fabulous job. Mike kept us informed throughout the project. He made sure we understood the work and the estimate before starting and he did a great job of keeping us informed as the work was done. Mike and his crew were friendly and kept our house clean while working on our house. We have an old house that needed lots of patching and has very few straight lines to work with--However, everything looks perfect after the painting was complete. We could not be happier.

Mike is very professional, prompt, and knowledgable. His employees did a fantastic job painting the nursery, and I really appreciated how quickly he was able to schedule the job!

Mike did a great job repainting the entire interior of my home. He also did some plaster patching and drywall repair. All of the work looked very nice. Mike was nice to work with and was very professional.

After purchasing a new home, we needed a quality painter to re-paint our interior walls. It was a big job(6,000+ square feet), so we interviewed multiple contractors before selecting Mike. He was very prompt, and provided an accurate estimate around both time and cost. Communication was always there as well, and I spoke with Mike via text or phone each day he was at our house. We feel he went above and beyond just 'doing a job' and corrected/pointed out things we might not had noticed. After moving in, he even came back to touch up a few walls and other items in need since his last visit. Overall, Mike was a pleasure to work with and would use again and recommend with confidence.

Mike was upfront about when he would be able to do my job and he even was able to do it a little sooner than he thought. He did a great job and was a pleasure to work with. He even went back to touch up a place on the back of the garage where he noticed the paint was not sticking where a spider had messed it up. He made what I thought was going to be a difficult job look easy.

Mike was very prompt with his bid. He was careful to point out issues that should be corrected on the deck. And he consulted with me on the stain, showing a sample of one of the stains. He seemed very professional and diligent. His bid was the lowest I received. But it turned out, he had made a typo and his bid was higher than expected (and higher than another bid) but still very reasonable. He did the work quickly but thoroughly and cleaned up completely afterwards.

Mike was very prompt to offer a bid. Explained the process. Mikes work was very professional with his work. Kept me involved throughout the entire process. I will use him again for any futureprojects that meets his talent.

Mike was great. Even though he was very busy, he came over and gave a bid as soon as he could, then slotted us in for the first rain day in May (which happened to be the 1st!). He was meticulous about choosing the correct paint for our bathroom and spent more time worrying about color matching that I did. He also rolled a wall free of charge when I asked him what I could do about scuff marks. He is extremely personable, an easy guy to have in the house. We will definitely be using him again.

We contacted Michael Duff. Within two days he came by, looked the job over and gave us an estimate within a week. Michael was courteous and very professional. He kept us informed on a regular basis as to his ability to meet the start date. He began early on the date agreed and worked everyday until completed. The worksite was kept clean throughout the entire job. The quality of work was consistent with his professionalism. I would definitely hire Duff Painting again and have recommend them to a friend.

Mike is the gold standard for workers that come to your home. He answers his phone in a timely manner. He responds to email. He shows up when he says he will. Maybe most important is that he treats your house as if it was his house. If there was an unforseen problem, he told us about it right away and took care of it. He is professional and courteous and works his tail off. He needed to spend an extra couple of days and that worked out well as I know that he would rather do the work right than do it fast. His work is excellent - period. I recommend him without hesitation.

They were really great. The guy that came out was very friendly and professional. He was willing to help and give ideas. I liked working with him.

He was very quick to respond. He was very quick to give estimate. He was very upfront with the fact that he was pretty much completely booked and told work will be more during the spring. I certainly appreciate him. His response time was very quick. The quote was fairly competitive, and slightly higher than the average. Having had a take for the quality of the work he wanted to do, I feel it probably deserves enough. I rather get a feel for different people after the level of work they are doing, he seemed like he probably got a better job to speak for and he kind of get paid more. I was very happy with his professionalism, responsiveness, and punctuality. I might use him for some interior work.

Falied to adequatley strip under the side rails so it stands out compared to the rest of the deck. Faield to properly stain the side rails and had to come back to finish it correctly.

My interaction with them was pretty good. The estimate was for $12,000. I contacted them because of the high ratings on Angie’s List. They were very professional and followed up timely on the appointment to do the bid. I got a pretty detailed estimate from them. I would contact them again for a bid in the future.

Despite this being an extremely wet and stormy spring, Mike worked steadily on the house with great attention to detail. We were extremely pleased with his work.

Mike was very prompt and professional in arriving to bid the job, performing and completing the job when he promised. What was especially great was his help in picking colors which I hate doing! He has a great eye for color and brought over some color charts to help me select beautiful colors for my rooms. He also was able to perfectly match the color of the hallway ceiling to paint over water damage. I thought I was going to have to take the doors to a refinishing shop, but he was able to refinish them beautifully as part of the job. He can do everything! He's coming back to remove wallpaper and repair the walls in another room of our older home.
