Description of Work: Removed an old roof corbel and replaced it with a newly fabricated/painted piece. Looks just the original corbel and matches the other existing pieces perfectly.

Description of Work: Mike has worked for us a number of times over the years. He was recommended by a neighbor, and it was a MOST valuable recommendation. Most recently he painted our house interior and did plastering over the Xmas holidays when we were out of town. The work was excellent, he kept in touch with me throughout the process, he texted me photos of before and after, and he had full access to the house for a month. His work is top quality. He also does exterior painting, and will be doing some work for us soon. He lives in the general neighborhood, so he is familiar with, and appreciates old houses. He is professional, courteous and always prompt. I recommend him without reservation.

Description of Work: Prep and paint a 1200 sq ft section of our house, including walls, a lot of trim and several doors.

Description of Work: He Power-washed my wooden fence, deck, bench, and chairs, followed by a fantastic job of staining them. He even went above and beyond and helped me with putting up a few fence slats that I had been putting off doing. Description of Work: Mike gave us a free estimate to repair the water-damaged plaster in our bedroom wall and then paint the wall after it was repaired. He also gave us an estimate to scrape the peeling paint in our bathroom and then paint the walls in that room. Mike was professional from start to finish. He arrived on time and was courteous and friendly. All this while he was faced with working all day listening to our howling beagle who does not like to be in her crate while my wife and I are at work. I don't know how he put up with it, but as far as I can tell his work did not suffer from this annoying experience. Mike spent two full days at our house plus an hour or so on a day in between when he returned to complete a bit more prep work he couldn’t do the first day. When my wife and I returned home at the end of Mike’s last day working, we found a beautifully repaired bedroom wall (and ceiling) plus a professionally painted bathroom that no longer dropped paint on our heads when we were trying to take a shower.

Description of Work: Scraped, repaired, primed and painted all windows, doors and trim of our 1920s Craftsman-style brick bungalow. Stained newly-installed beadboards (installed by a different contractor.) Painted garage trim.

Description of Work: Mike came out after we had a disastrous experience with another contractor. After assessing the situation, he performed drywall repairs, paint and caulking repairs, and stripped and stained our HUGE deck.

Description of Work: Mike was very professional. Responded to my inquiry immediately and when I questioned how work would be done, etc. he was eager to explain and answer any of my questions. He completed the work in three days. Was patient and helpful when I was unsure of color to select. Did necessary caulking and prime work. Neat and cleanup was top notch. The powerwash of the siding was disappointing and his explanation was that the top two/three pieces underneath of wide overhang never get water and probably were never cleaned (25 year old house) soil was apparently embedded in the aluminum siding so did not come clean as I had hoped. However, I was inclined to go along with his explanation. I chose not to use him for cleaning the deck because I assumed (but not knowledgeable enough) that a powerwash company specializing in deck cleaning may have equipment better suited to that job. Absolutely no reflection on Mike's integrity and ability. Simply an equipment choice.

Description of Work: Mike did the mudding, taping, and sanding for a few new rooms in the basement. (We hung the drywall ourselves.) And he painted those three rooms, plus three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

Description of Work: He stripped off old paint (the house is 1920 so who knows how many layers of paint we had!), carefully patched, and painted our outdoor entrance way. Also he was very careful about removing the old light fixture, door bell ringer, the flag pole holder, and the brass house number and then after finishing, carefully installed everything back - better than they were originally.

Description of Work: Exterior painting of 2 1/2 story,100 year old house, including all 56 windows. All storm windows were removed so windows could be correctly painted. He even washed the exterior windows before replacing them!!
