Stonewerks Tile

Joe was awesome. He is very personable guy and it was enjoyable getting to know him. He was great about working around our curious 2-year old son. He actually worked a few Saturdays and one Sunday to get the job completed. We had some delays on our tub install, which pushed him out beyond the week he had allocated to our job, but he was great about working us in around his other scheduled jobs. The work was fantastic and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. His attention to detail is amazing and it shows through with the finished product. I will definitely use Joe in the future for any tile jobs and would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about getting tile work done. Last, his price was a little cheaper than the other bid, but I used him due to the knowledge, positive reviews on this site and pictures from his website. You won't be disappointed if you hire him for any tile jobs.

I was able to speak with Joe the first time I called. He told me he would call me the next day around noon and schedule the estimate. He followed through with that and he pointed out that he had called when he said he would. Joe recommended that I go to a particular tile store in Maryland Heights and told me to request a particular sales rep. Joe said that companies sell tile of poor quality and he won't work with it. He also told me upfront that for a kitchen backs plash, jobs start at $500 and he wanted to make sure that I was aware so he wouldn't be wasting my time or his. I told him that I understood. We scheduled a date for him to come to my home. In the mean time, I made time to drive out to Maryland Heights and met with the rep he recommended and picked up tile samples. Joe arrived at the day and time he said he would. He measured my kitchen and we discussed what patterns and tiles would work best. He said he would get back with me the next day with an estimate. He didn't. I waited several days and left him a voice mail requesting the estimate and giving my call back number. About a week went by and I still had not heard from Joe. I left him a second and final message- also not returned- requesting an estimate for the work. It turns out that my time was wasted both when I met with him in my home and when I drove out of my way to the tile store he requested.

The end result was wonderful--neatly and precisely done. I will indeed hire Joe again for future tile jobs. He was professional and courteous, and above all does a bang-up job.

I was going to wait until he actually remodeled our bathroom, but I thought I would type up a review after seeing the F rating. Joe is a straight forward guy and showed right on time to give us a bid. I love the fact that he actually took his shoes off to come in the house after seeing me take my shoes off. I have read a ton about building waterproof showers and I know just enough to be dangerous, but I can tell you Joe knows all about the business of tiling. He is very detailed oriented and was concerned about thickness of certain whirpool tub skirts to make sure the tile matches up perfect. His price was right in line with other bids. I will report back after he finishes the job in a few months (that is by our choice to wait until summer) and comment on the quality, but I am confident it will be an A as well.

Returned our phone call promptly and said he would call to get our address and come give us an estimate the following day. Waited at home all day, no call returned.Tried second phone call a few days later, no return call.

Went great as described above. Wouldn't ever choose anyone else. Second time we have used Joe and coming back soon for the third.

Joe was simply outstanding and I would recommend him to anyone that needs tile work done. His professionalism, follow up and communication surpassed my expectations. I typically do most of my own remodeling projects and am reluctant to hire out work because of the variability of contractors. Because of time constraints I needed to have someone complete my tile job. Joe impressed me as soon as he showed up to give a bid when he pulled out his level and proceeded to check my entire floor for any potential problems. He offered suggestions on layout and other tips based on his experience. We had already purchased tile and when Joe started laying it, he found it was bowed. Rather than keep going with the defective product (that we had supplied), he alerted us to the issue and put us in touch with another supply shop that came to the rescue with new product. This increased the amount of time that he had to spend on our project, but he maintains high standards. Joe communicated when he would be at our house and let us know in advance if his plans changed. The final product was outstanding and one of the best tile jobs that I have seen, both for the floor and shower tile jobs.

His job was way better than outstanding, it was superior. He did all the work by himself. I'm so happy that I paid him the money, I hardly say that but he put down some great tile floor. He was highly professional and cleaned up his work. He brought his son to help him. He was an outstanding guy who does an outstanding work.

Joe promptly returned my phone call requesting an estimate and was on time for the appointment we set for him to give us an estimate. He always returned all my phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner. Once he started setting the tile, he worked to finish it as quickly as he could. He did a good job cleaning up as he went. He did a really nice job tiling the basement and we were very happy with the work he did. He was very professional and we would use him again for this type of work. I felt the price was very reasonable for the work he performed for us.

We were very pleased with the experience. Joe was very responsive from providing the initial estimate to completing the job. Joe is very experienced and does outstanding quality work. Joe was always on time and arrived when he said he would be there (unlike other contractors we have used in the past). Joe also provided input for our project (products) that saved us money. We would use Stonewerks Tile again for future projects. Job well done! A+!

This is the second time I have used Joe to purchase and install a tile. He knows flooring and more specifically tile. His philosophy as ,he told me, is ?learn all you can about one thing and then do that thing really well.? The people he has sent me to purchase my materials were helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and have always done a great job communicating my concerns about the installation to Joe. Still he takes a very hands on approach and has always been willing to explain the different reasons for doing things a certain way while ensuring I am getting both the look and the quality I expect. He was adamant that no short cuts be taken in order to ensure the floors he laid for me would not fail. From day one he showed up when he said he would and treated my home with respect. He called me at work to let me know not to walk on the floors when I came home in order to let them set so we would not get any out place tiles. He did a wonderful job making the tile appear straight in spite of our walls being out of plum. I could see he was a little frustrated with this as it seems to be in his nature to want every job he does to look perfect. In spite of his frustration he maintained a professional demeanor and a good attitude. In the end I am once again extremely happy the results. My new floors and back splash look great. I will most definitely use his tile services for all my future tile needs even if I have to pay a little more than I would using a big box store?s installer. Additionally, I will recommend these services to any and all of my friends and family who ask. Stellar Work!

He was very professional when dealing with him. He responded to my calls quick and was very knowledgeable. He got the work completed in the time he said he would and it looks very nice!

Stonewerks send us to a private show room where we received personal attention and help picking out our materials. The installer, Joe, showed up on time with all the materials need to complete. From start to finish he was careful to make sure he cleaned up any mess made by the installation of the floor. It is evident that he cares a great deal about the quality of his work, his customer?s time, and home. Joe was also very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions we had about when we would be able to enjoy our new floor and he even recommend we seal the floor for easier maintenance. A decision we are very happy with. Everything lines up nicely and we?ve had no problems what so ever. I highly recommend him. I have never seen a floor laid this nicely the grout joins are smooth and uniform. I would have to say he really knows what he?s doing. Furthermore, I felt as if he treated my job as if he were laying the floor in his very own home.
