+ -1 moreHe left me with a mess! I have a high end home with *expletive* cabinets. There is no toe kick in the kitchen. He uses Melamine instead of Alder in exposed areas (in refrigerator cabinet). He misdrilled & mismeasured lots of doors. The trash compactor panel is too small. All kitchen & basement drawers were to be pull out - but he didn't make them that way. We were to pay 1/3 , 1/3, 1/3 but he constantly needed money to pay his people. His business is not financially sound. He refused to finish the job. Failure to acknowledge his screw ups. He takes "shower cuts" that cheapen the quality. DO NOT USE HIM. When I was getting bids on granite countertops, 2 fabricators would not bid the job when they learned he made the cabinets. He is incompetent & does not have the ability to deliver what he commits to build. He does not correct the mistakes, mismeasurements that he & his employees make.
Description of Work: Custom cabinets for kitchen, basement bar & 5 bathrooms & laundry room. All appliances (2 refrigerators, 3 dishwashers, ice maker, trash compactor) to take custom panels to be made of knotty alder with a glaze. Russ Lumpkin refused to finish the job stating "I've lost too much on this job." This was due to his failure to pay attention to details. He drilled wrong holes for door handles to remake doors, didn't leave adequate space for refrigerator as fridge specs required; mismeasuring, forgot to make pull out drawers, etc. He refused to finish contract & left me with a huge mess! He was paid all but 4 K.
