Description of Work: They moved two pianos for me and everything went very smoothly and quickly. They were very professional from the first contact through completion of the move. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: These fine gents were punctual and moved my piano easily and carefully. They even offered to reattach soundboard AND found a bracket on their truck and fixed my music stand. Now, I NEVER would have found that part in any store. I appreciated their care for my piano, floors and walls. They apologized for the price; our house was just far from their location. I would definitely call on them in the future!

Description of Work: Shipped a grand piano from Southern California to Tacoma, WA. Care in handling, packing, and unpacking the piano on both ends was excellent. We are very happy with Modern Piano and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: They moved my famly's 1934 grand piano from Illinois to Georgia. They were very professional, courteous, easy to work with in pick up dates and delivery and did a tremendous job protecting the piano and our newly refinished wood floors while moving the piano in. I would highly recommend them and would use them again. Very well priced.

Description of Work: We contracted with Modern Piano in June to move a piano from Pennsylvania to Nebraska. We had a firm deadline for the piano to be picked up by the last day in July. We were assured this was no problem, and told we could follow up a few days after our initial call to find out an approximate pick up date. After multiple calls and emails, during which they had difficulty finding our file, we were finally told, only a couple weeks out from the deadline, that they were planning on picking the piano up in August, despite knowing we had a hard and fast deadline. They offered no apologies, didn't seem to care that they were directly violating our original agreement, and left us scrambling to find a new piano mover with only weeks left before our family home sold. It was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially after online reviews led me to believe they were a decent company to work with.

Description of Work: The previously mint condition piano was returned damaged with packing blanket imprints, scratches, full of mouse droppings and with parts broken off. Movers damaged wood floor while moving into home.Movers forgot tools to assemble ,and had to borrow my tools. Modern piano took piano for three months to repair, and it came back worse than ever. They lied about temperature conditions of storage and who was doing repairs.Ultimately, I had to file an insurance claim with my insurance company,and piano had to be sent off to an refinishing expert that I had to find for six months to be completely refinished and parts replaced. Modern Piano is nothing short of a nightmare to deal with.

Description of Work: We were moving from our house to a condo. The gentlemen were very careful with our piano, especially when I told them one of the legs is cracked. They placed the piano and told me the sort of things to get to put under the legs to protect the hardwood floor. I'd have them again in a heart beat.

Description of Work: I found out at last minute (about 3pm, one day in advance) that I needed piano moved from one room to another - I thought the remodeling contractor would do it, but he did not want responsibility. I called several piano movers but only found two with availability for next day. This firm checked with their trucks and found one that would be passing near my area later that evening and had them swing by and take care of my move that same evening. They were very professional and got the job done quickly. They did charge me $10 over their standard $90 for the rush job, but I was happy to pay it and have it taken care of on the same day. When remodeling is done I will call Modern Piano Moving again to move the piano back.

Description of Work: When I called Modern Piano they were extremely professional getting all my information about the piano to be moved. We even pulled up the locations for pick-up and delivery on Google Earth in order to better estimate the price based on front door access and stairs. | |They answered every question I had and informed me all about the equipment that they use to preserve the piano during the move. I was extremely happy with all the information and the professionalism. | |The movers we great as well. I had a family member at the pick-up location and they were very good in talking with them and helping to move the piano out (there was a slight issue with one door way). The movers answered all the questions. When they arrived it was late in the evening (planned time) and they had no issue getting the piano in to my house. Again they answered any question I had and let me know to hold off on piano tuning for 15-30 days to acclimate the piano to the new environment. | |In all I was very happy with this move and saw no issues with the state of the piano when it was delivered.
