Their estimate was for $1,600 and I paid the same amount. They are professional piano movers, who move anywhere in the United States of America. They really know what they are doing. These guys are very skilled. I had a piano from 1921; it has been in my family since 1921. It had to move from Wisconsin, where the temperature was below freezing, to Texas. They had air conditioned equipment. The snow did not bother them. They disassembled the piano very carefully and moved it out down the driveway that had a 45 degree slope. The driveway was so steep that if there was snow on it, you could not stand on it. The piano weighed about 600 pounds. It was amazing that they could move it. They really knew what they were doing. They did a wonderful job of placing the piano where I wanted it. They had done such a good job of it that when the tuners came out to tune it, it was hardly out of tune; which, considering the temperature changes was really remarkable. They were really good. The guy, who drove the truck and brought it down, was one of the owners. The owners of the company really get in to the job. He was right there directing the crew. They were really great. They pick the piano, take it to their warehouse, and they wait until they are doing pickups and deliveries in the area. So, the only problem would be that it can take a little while to get your piano. They keep it in air-conditioned storage. You just need to coordinate your pickups and deliveries. They probably would pick it up today and drop it off tomorrow if you need it urgently, but I have never asked them about that. Their standard move is to move it to their warehouse and wait till they have a truck coming to your area. They will have about 10 pianos in the truck. So, it is big operation. If I ever move the piano again, they will be the ones to do the work.

They were really good. It?s an upright antique piano. I called them on a Monday and they said they would not be able to move the piano until a later date. So I asked them if they could move the piano sooner and they said they would move it the very same day. They were recommended by a piano company.

They were really good. I would highly recommend them. They did everything that they said they would do. The piano arrived in perfect shape; there were no problems at all. I hired them because they do interstate moving and it is hard to find people that do that. I contacted them by phone, they answered all my questions and then I went online and filled out a form. They are very well organized. They gave me an estimate and it was right on the money. They are very professional and they know what they are doing. They explain what they are going to do so that there are no surprises. I was arranging this move with a relative down in Dallas and I gave them her number to coordinate the pick up. They made the arrangements with her and did a thorough check up of the piano before it is picked up so that if they did any damage I would know what that might be. They also told me what would happen because in interstate move they had to get it to their warehouse first so I knew when to expect them and they were pretty close to the time frame they gave me. They contacted me with the estimated time so that I was at home. Their driver also contacted me when they were getting close. They moved it in and put it exactly where I wanted it. I did not have the special tools required to move it in so I had to buy it from them, it was reasonable, just a few dollars but I think they were considerate enough to bring it along. They really did an excellent job. I thought the price was reasonable and close to the estimate I got.

For $1,580.00, Modern Piano safely moved Mom's Baby Grande Knabe 1,386 miles. It's a big problem when you are faced with it in it being damaged and without paying an "arm and a leg" to do it? Modern Piano Moving helped us solve a big problem, perhaps one of the most sensitive problems in handling our Mother's final affairs.

I ve already recommended them several times to friends. They specialize in this and you can tell by the way they do things that they know their business. They are a very good company to use for moving pianos.

The rate was very reasonable and they were able to accommodate me very quickly.

They picked up the piano in Dallas and were very professional, they even allowed my mom to take photographs of the piano. They also documented the condition it was in at the pick-up. They said that it would take a month, but actually it was delivered in about 2 weeks. Russ (who said he's been with the company for over 20 years) & his assistant were on time (actually, early), and very careful with the piano. They also had beautiful wood casters on the truck, which they sold to me to protect my floor. They were patient in moving the piano in the room until I was satisfied.

THE MOVERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE PIANO AND PIANO BENCH WERE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AT THE DELIVERY DESTINATION. THE COST FOR THE MOVE WAS QUOTED IN ADVANCE, AND THE QUOTED COST WAS THE AMOUNT WE PAID. MODERN PIANO MOVERS WAS RECOMMENDED TO US BY COLUMBUS PIANO MOVERS/FLAT RATE MOVING, A COMPANY THAT OPERATES ONLY IN OHIO.

THEY WERE POLITE. THEY WERE ALSO EFFICIENT AND DID NOT SCRATCH EITHER PIANO OR WALLS. THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
