+ 0 moreWe solicited bids from 3 contractors, then we found Jack's Refrigeration. We wanted heat pumps, since the 20- and 30-year old central air conditioner + electric furnaces we had were so inefficient; we had bills over $600 per month in winter and summer. We wanted either a Carrier, American Standard, or a Goodman. It took 2 weeks to get the first 3 bids, but Jack's sent over a young man the next day, and e-mailed me the quotes that night. His entire bid was lower than the other 2 we considered (we threw out the bid for Heil units due to nightmare product reviews online). His bid included everything, and was the most high-tech, but not nearly as expensive. It seemed to be the best value for the money. We agreed on an installation time frame (within 2 weeks), between a couple of jobs he already had (he seemed very busy), and they showed up on time, replaced each unit in a couple of days, cleaned up everything. He had to replace some breakers and wiring that were sketchy, from the original builder, but didn't take any additional time, and only charged for parts. He threw in the humidifiers for free! The outside units are mounted on sturdy brackets on the side of the house, off the ground, so leaves won't be a problem anymore. The air handlers are top of the line, and really quiet. We got programmable thermostats, hooked up to the internet; I can turn them off or on, adjust the temperature, from my phone, before we start home from the airport (and I have, it's cool!). We'll be using Jack's Refrigeration for everything we can from now on.

Description of Work: My husband and I just bought a newer house and the furnance was a gas furnance and we wanted a electric furnance. So we called Jack's Refrigeration, the owner, Matthew Smith, came out and explained every furnance we could buy. Everything Matthew did or say was very professional. So, we decided we were going to go with the electric furnance. Matthew took his time at everything he did. And explained everything very thoroughly. He took out the old and put in the new! The prices were FANTASTIC, more affordable than any where else around. All in all, I was very impressed.
