I live in a building the can only have Fidelity as our service provider. I have been stuck with them for 2 years. They really answer the phone, they will not accept payment in person, the online billing portal is at least useable, but it sucks. When you turn in the equipment to the drop box they don't count it as returned, but won't accept it when you try to return it in person. They're all together rude and if I didn't need wifi to play my xbox at all, or use my laptop I would have shut it off and gone without.

Their customer service is great. The service is expensive. The cable is crappy and it freezes all the time. If something goes wrong with the cable they come out within the day to fix the problem.

I called Fidelity to get internet and phone service installed. They wanted to install a total package of cable, internet, and phone. However, I get satellite TV after having many bad experiences with cable. It's apparent that you get shifted to the bottom of the priority list when you get ala carte services from Fidelity. They didn't turn on the phone until several days later, although this is a very simple process that doesn't require home entry. Approximately a week later, a man arrived (punctually) to install internet. Although I had told Fidelity I had satellite TV, the man at first stated internet in my home office could not be installed because the outlet was being occupied by the satellite connection. I know from previous experience that a splitter can take care of this problem, but the installer refused to do this. The solution we came up with was to install wireless in another room. This option appealed to me since I have a laptop, and wireless would enable me to get an internet connection anywhere in the home. However, the installer did not have the appropriate equipment on hand. He merely made the connection, told me what equipment to buy, and how to set it up. I bought the equipment, and at first I couldn't get it to work. I called Fidelity and was given the brush-off. The customer representative just kept repeating they couldn't guarantee wireless services. They advertise a 24/7 internet help desk, but they just repeated the same message to me. They obviously do not place "help" as a priority at the help desk. I nearly called to get the service canceled; however, after a few hours of trying to figure it out, I finally got the wireless system to work, and I'm happy with it now, thanks to my own efforts. Fidelity could have made this process easier simply by providing some real help and being more courteous and professional.
