Better than expected! So professional and honest! They did a great job and completed it in a timely manner. I was worried about the mess getting a new roof would cause, but they left our property better than before they first got there. I can’t thank them enough! I highly recommend!!!

Super friendly and professional. I miscommunicated about where one downspout was to be put, and they came out again quickly to gladly fix it and at no charge. They do quick work, and are surprisingly affordable. They run a well-oiled machine. I would call them back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

I believe it is fixed. The reason I say I do believe is, it's a fairly big stain and it's hard to tell if it is fixed. I would need a ladder to find out and the ceiling is fairly high, at least for me. After we had a lot of rain lately I think it is fixed. J&B was very professional!

John is excellent and deserves the Super Service Award. I found this company from Angies List. I asked him to estimate the damage on the roof twice. The 1st time I hired him to repair some small damages. The second time he estimated that the roof damage can be covered by my insurance. He was correct. My insurance covered the replacement of the roof. And I hired him again. His service and altitude are excellent. Highly recommend him!

The gentleman who came out was just so respectful and professional. He was very kind. And very thorough. I have great confidence in their product and ability to perform the work I need done. I didn't hire them, ONLY because I am currently not able to find or finance the work. I do plan to hire them in the future.

J & B was one of four companies from whom I obtained estimates. They had the lowest bid, but that wasn't why I chose them. Keith (the owner) came out and looked at my existing roof to do an initial assessment. I felt like he really listened to my concerns and he didn't talk "down" to me or over my head even though my knowledge in the area of roofing is minimal, at best. It was obvious that he's passionate about doing a good job for his customers and making sure they're happy with the work that's done. The crew he sent out had the roof completed within 48 hours of starting and they kept everything neat and clean in the process. They were polite, professional, and on time. Here are some of the reasons I chose J & B over the other companies from which I received estimates : 1. J & B is a locally owned, family owned, business that presented itself during the entire process as a company that cares more about customer satisfaction than they do about their bottom line. 2. They don't pay for a separate line of salesmen or fancy matching trucks with company logos or tablets or the latest and greatest in cell phones, so they don't have the overhead that a lot of roofing companies have, which is probably why their bid was so much lower than the others. 3. They use local products. The shingles they use are from Tamko, which is based out of Joplin, MO. Tamko doesn't just SELL roofing supplies locally; they own and operate several raw materials plants, so they have more control over the manufacturing process. Tamko had a color and style selector tool on their website ([*** Link removed ***] where I was able to upload a photo of my home so I could see how each shingle color would look before making a final decision. Keith also brought several samples out so I could see them "in real life" to make sure I liked the way the color complemented my house. The warranty with the Tamko product was no less attractive than that with the Certainteed and Owens Corning products, which were presented to me in other bids. 4. Based on my first visit with Keith, I could tell he was involved in his community, that he was a family man, and that he genuinely took an interest in and cared about other people. It was also obvious that he KNEW roofing and was confident in his knowledge. 5. They offer a maintenance package after the work is complete to come out and clean your gutters. It's nice to know it will be taken care of and I'll have one less thing to worry about. Basically, I got several estimates and then went with my gut feeling, which is generally spot-on. I wasn't disappointed. They did everything they said they would and cleaned up when they were finished. They tore off two layers of shingles, replaced some bad decking, cut vents into the soffit (the builder failed to put soffit venting on the front side of my house when it was built) and replaced the guttering that had to be taken down in the process, and added turbine and box vents to properly vent the attic (when the house was built, there was NO attic venting added). They even volunteered to paint all the existing pipes on the roof so they'd look as good as new with the new roof and trimmed up a tree that was close to the house and hauled it off. I waited two months to write my review to make sure I was just as happy with the work as I was the day they finished. If I had to do it again, I'd choose J & B. (Before photo was taken in June when I first began researching companies. After photo was taken on 11/30/2016, 2 months after the work was complete so the yard isn't nearly as green.)

Excellent. Would recommend J & B Roofing to everybody. John came out and measured for new roof. He emailed us the estimate and called to see if we had any questions. His crew showed up when promised. They worked from 7:30 am until 7:30 or so in the evening. They did the roof in sections so that what they removed they replaced the same day. They were courteous and friendly. They cleaned up after they were done. They did an excellent job. John came out to get them started, during the job and after they were done to make sure that everything was completed correctly.

Extremely well. Quick responses and reasonable on site evulation scheduling. Quick follow up with suggestion and quote of further work needed. Very resonably priced. Very friendly and comfortable interactions.

For reasons having absolutely nothing to do with J & B Roofing (issues with the financial institution holding the mortgage to the property and the release of the insurance checks, issues which only arose after John made his bid), I was unable to enter in to a contract with J & B Roofing to do the work. I was very impressed by John and felt comfortable giving him the business even though I am out of state. No work has been done on the roof by anyone. I truly regret that, for reasons beyond my control, I was unable to have J and B Roofing do the job. If you are in their market area and have any roofing needs, be advised that I found them to be responsive, friendly and professional. Based on this experience, and the lack of responsiveness of the other roofing companies I communicated with, I believe that J & B Roofing is certainly the way to go. All of the great reviews on Angie's List support this conclusion. (Not sure of age of house, estimate it was built in 1970s, so indicated 1975 below, as required to leave a review.)

Our roof is very high and very sloped. We have had people out before that would not service us because of that. There was absolutely no hesitation from John and he promptly found our problem causing a small leak and several other issues that needed to be taken care of. He cleaned a couple of gutters that needed it, made some repairs and was back out withing a week to make some repairs that required supplies. I was so pleased I purchased another maintenance package for our barn for him to inspect and clean gutters. We need some gutter repairs/replacement which they contract out and John followed up promptly with estimates and booking the repairs. Very pleased!!!

He did everything great and even save me some money! A very nice person to work with and was very reasonable. Will recommend him to anyone.

Initially called three days ago, was told someone would come to my home to estimate yesterday - no show. Called office, was told I would be contacted later in the evening. No contact then or this morning. I kind of understand which is why I rated them a D rather than an F. It is a minor repair at a time when there is a lot of work in the area to do. They are located at the northern end of the Springfield area, I am at the southern. I understand them not wanting to travel that distance for a minor repair when there are many other jobs in the area. I just wish they would have told me that rather than wasting both of our time.

From start to finish Keith did an excellent job. He was prompt to come out and give a bid, answered questions and gave suggestions on what shingles would be best. He was out to do the job in about 10 days (would have been sooner but had a day or two of rain). His crew finished the job in one day and cleaned up all their trash. Would recommend J&B Roofing to anyone! Great Job!

It went very well. The guys got there in the morning and they were very efficient and quiet. They cleaned up the yard after they were done and I am very pleased with the wonderful new roof!
