This was by far the best experience I've ever had with a company hired to work at my home. From the initial contact to the final inspection of the completed work, everyone was very professional and respectful. They did very good work on the roof and chimney. Although this is not the reason I chose them, their bid was $1600.00 less than two others. I am so glad I found this company.

initial response was fast and the salesman was nice and not pushy. was able to give quote on the spot, which was faster than anyone else I called. the only issue being they changed the quoted price twice after I agreed to let them do my roof. first they said they can repair the damaged fascia under the roof and give me a quote on it. then said they no longer do the work. but other than that the roof went well. work was done quickly and cleanly. would call again if I ever need roof work done in the future.

Ron came to my house to show me what shingles they had to offer, measure, determine what needed to be done(leaking issues) and to give me a price. A date was set for the work to begin. The crew came that day along with Chris who was to oversee the work and to keep me informed of any problems they encountered. Chris was friendly and understood there were places I didn't want the workman to walk through and saw to it that they didn't. It took two days. I was impressed at how hard the roofers worked and how good they were. Some of the leaking was around two skylights so they wrapped those and the leaking has stopped. I have a steep roof, two dormers, two skylights in the house and four on the porch. The roof looks great. One of the downspouts didn't get put back properly so I called about it. Brian came out immediately and put it back where it belonged. Bone Dry has done work for me before looking for leaks. I have always been impressed with their work and how friendly they are even after many trips out to find a leak. Finding and fixing a leak or leaks when reroofing is not being done is difficult. They stayed with it until it was found and fixed. I will definitely use them again.

In May 2016, we replaced our roof due to hail damage. I had no clue which company to select, so I started with companies that are recommended by Angie's List. I reached out to 4 companies, and Bone Dry was the first and quickest to respond. Their customer service is outstanding! They really take the time to work with the customer and if need be, work with your insurance company as well. We opted for a 50 yr roof. Besides the outstanding customer service they also offer a warranty transfer. What that means is, if you sell your home, it will transfer to the next new owners! Can't beat that!!! They started on our roof at 8am and were done and cleaned up by 3. They do ask that they meet with the owner on day prior to work beginning and then again at the end to do a site inspection, which entails walking to make sure nothing was left behind, nails, etc. My yard was spotless. The other added bonus that they offer is, if a neighbor in return gets a roof, knowing you referred them, you will be mailed a $100 gift card. That is the only black mark on this company. My neighbor did get a new roof and we were not mailed the complementary gift card. On a scale from 1-10, we would rate them a 9 and would recommend them. *If you have satellite service of any nature, TV, Internet, etc you will need to call service provider prior to getting new roof to set up appointment to reinstall dish(s)*

Dan Simon was the sales rep. He made several visits to our home to scope the work and finalize the choice of shingles etc. I signed the completed Home Improvement Proposal on 02 June. The total contract cost was $1758.80. The work was scheduled thru their Production Manager ( Richie ) and rescheduled several times between Jun 16 and June 25. After my complaints they finally showed up on June 29 and started work. The foreman soon noticed there were not enough shingles. He called someone ( I assume Dan Simon ). Then the crew worked until they ran out of shingles. At this time the top ?? third of the roof had no shingles. The crew was idle for for about an hour and a half until more shingles arrived. Then Dan Simon arrived and told me he made a mistake in his estimate. He said he measured one side of a symmetrical roof but forgot to multiply by two. He said several times that he wanted more money. He asked me if I ever made a mistake and I said yes and that I paid for them. Finally he said that if I did not agree to more money he would go back to the garage and tell the crew to leave -- leaving the peak area of the roof with no shingles. ( Rain was expected for several days. ) After more arguments and more threats to leave, I gave in and said I would pay more ( to avoid roof damage from the rain.) The crew finished the roof and left.

Hi Mr. [Member Name Removed], Thank You for your review. As Dan explained the day of the install he made a honest mistake when measuring up your garage roof. He explained to you that we were providing a significant discount to you for our mistake. Yes, we asked the crew take a break while this situation was worked out. At no time did Bone Dry Roofing or any of its staff say that we would leave your garage exposed to any type of weather. The same crew actually installed a full roof the same day we did your garage. When Dan explained to you that the additional funds were to cover the remainder of the garage you stated that we would then be 30% higher then the next bid. Once you showed us that bid it was actually determined that we were still lower than that bid. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding that day. Our only goal was to finish the job for you.

We had used them before. They replaced an entire side of shingles on the side of our roof over the garage. They spent almost a full day and had about 2 or 3 guys working. This time, the guy was not on our roof for more than 15 minutes. I don't think they did half the things they said they were going to. The contractor asked for a check and we stupidly gave him one. My husband emailed the man that came out to give an estimate and told them about it. He responded saying they were going to send a couple of supervisors to check it over. The supervisor that came said the work was completed but he didn't replace 2 shingles. He said he would come back on Monday and was here on the 13th but he didn't spend more than 10 minutes on the roof yet he claimed that he'd replaced a couple of shingles. There is no way we could've spent $535. We didn't get another estimate. We're never going to use them again. It shows on their estimate that they added ice and water as well as sealed brackets. He wasn't up there for very long. I don't know what he did. We're not roof people so how are we going to know?

Their delivery service dumped my siding off the raised pallet with a forklift from a height of about three feet. It was left in a jumbled mess on my lawn. The driver then ran over a tube of aggressive mastic which he was unable to scrape up. He left without informing anyone at the residence. Not being aware of his blatant disregard for the drive, when I left the house I unknowingly drove through the mastic. It adhered to a tire on my car and left a portion of mastic with each revolution of the tire down the entire length of my very long driveway. They tried to aggressively power wash the mastic and failed, but did damage the driveways surface. The attempt to install the siding was a disaster. Their foreman did not monitor the progress of the work until it was nearly complete. When he did finally exam it he agreed that the work was totally unacceptable and they performed a total tear off. I asked them not to send the same crew back and they declined saying the crew had already been paid. One of the least skilled of the crew did not return. They should have snapped a line or used a laser in order to determine where shims should be placed in order that the siding would be plumb. This apparently was not part of their meager skill set. The second attempt to replace the siding was nearly as disastrous as the first. I remain completely apalled at their ineptitude and would advise prospective customers to avoid them at all costs.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], Thank You for your review. The work completed in 2015 was a very unfortunate situation. It sounds like the delivery company worked with you in regards to sealing the driveway for you. And after several conversations and jobsite visits we provided a significant discount to you for the one section of siding that our installers were not able to take care of to your satisfaction. We apologize again for the inconvenience and appreciate your thoughts.

I cannot say enough good things about Ron Russelburg, General Manager at Bone Dry. We had used Bone Dry to replace flashings at a previous house, so when our new home got nailed with hail, Bone Dry was our first call. Ron fit us into his schedule within 24 hours, came out and inspected our roof. He invited my husband and I onto the roof and explained what he was seeing. Later, when my insurance company called to say they'd be out the next morning at 7am, I called Ron to let him know. That was the first time he exceeded expectations...with almost zero notice, he was at our house the next morning at 7am to meet with our adjuster. Once our insurance claim report came through, Ron reviewed it and identified a couple of issues, such as square footage discrepancies and a couple of items that were left off. He worked with the insurance company directly and stayed in close contact with us in order to get the issue resolved...which it was. Ron was able to get everything covered that needed to be. And it wasn't by being a "sales" guy; it was his knowledge and ability to let the facts talk. He was easy to get a hold of and quick to return calls/emails. He made the process easy. Ron's professionalism, knowledge and follow-up were completely outstanding. Bone Dry was exceptional from start to finish. Installation was smooth and done in a day. The foreman, Chris Witter, went over everything upon their arrival so that we would know what to expect. He was super friendly, answered all of our questions and made sure we were completely satisfied upon the job's completion. To my surprise, the team didn't leave right away. They stayed for about 15 minutes until their head boss arrived to inspect their work. I really appreciated Bone Dry's commitment to quality control and to ensuring their company's reputation stays at the top.

I am really happy I chose Bone Dry Roofing. Of the four estimates I received for the work, theirs was the highest, but I am content with my decision to pay a bit extra (and their estimate came only a bit higher than they others. It was close). Everyone I met with throughout the whole process seemed to really pay attention to the details in all aspects of the work. I never felt like anyone was cutting corners. The speed of the job was something else. They had the roof on just a couple days after the estimate was finished, and they team that put the roof worked like well-oiled machine. It was really fun to watch. I also liked how the job foremen (the insulation guy, the roof guy, etc) all took time to talk to me at length and tell me what was happening and why. Very friendly people in all aspects of the job. I think anyone who hires Bone Dry will get a professional, quality roof.

Bone Dry's work was exceptional and they went above and beyond my expectations. Dan came out and gave me a detailed estimate and explained what they were going to do. Although the price seemed a bit high, based on the other reviews I decided to go with them. I'm very, very glad I did. Glenn and Bryan showed up and did more than just add insulation to the attic, they first removed a couple of heavy items I couldn't remove from the attic, and later fixed a couple of shingles that had blown off in a recent storm and caulked around the chimney. When finished they cleaned up so it looked like they were never there. We even had some good conversation during breaks. I highly recommend Bone Dry without any reservations. Thanks for the great work!

My experience with Bone Dry Roofing was issue free. From the first visit they made to inspect our roof to the completion of the work, they were great. The roof looks great, the gutters look good and the clean-up was really impressive. They original visit was to check the roof for possible damage. They found some, but told me they didn’t think it was bad enough for the insurance to cover the whole roof. They suggested I wait another six months after going through the summer to see if things deteriorated any more. They said I had two years after the original storm to make a claim. I contacted them about six months later and the roof had gotten worse and they thought I then had a valid claim. When I called State Farm to enter the claim they suggested I call another roofer to get a second opinion. They suggested I call Bone Dry. When I told State Farm that’s who I had called, they immediately said they would contact their claims department and start the ball rolling because they had complete confidence in Bone Dry Roofing. The roof replacement went well and stayed on schedule. Everyone was very nice, cooperative, and helpful. They did a great job cleaning up too. You couldn’t tell they were ever there. A bizarre thing happened about a month after the roof was completed. To make a long story short, some guy from another roofing company climbed on our roof and tore some of our brand new shingles off and replaced them with a different type and color of shingle. It’s still a mystery as to why or how this happened other than the guy who did it admitted he had been given the wrong address on a repair order. There are still a lot of questions as to how this could have happened, but the bottom line is, Bone Dry Roofing came back out and replaced all the wrong shingles with the correct new shingles at no charge. I would say this was going well beyond the call of duty and expected service. I would definitely call Bone Dry if I ever needed roof or gutter repairs again.

After noticing water stains on my ceiling and a misadventure with another roofing company, I contacted Bone Dry Roofing based on Angie's List reviews. Addam came out and performed an inspection. He noted a few areas of concern and said overall the roof would last a few more years once the areas in need of repair were corrected. After some further discussion, we decided to go with full roof replacement rather than the 'band-aid' approach. Addam said they would use Owens-Corning Duration Architectural shingles, their best, for the price of the O-C Oakridge, a lower grade Architectural shingle. Addam refused to honor both the $200 Angie's List coupon and a 3% discount for not using a credit card. I didn't understand that because if I used a CC they would have to pay the CC company a 2 1/2 or 3% fee. Why not benefit the customer rather than a CC company? We had already received estimates on replacing a skylight and Addam agreed to meet the price for the same skylight so we added that to the contract. The total cost was $9655. Two weeks after the contract was signed, the Bone dry crew of I believe six workers tore off the old roof and installed the new roof and skylight. The workers were prompt, courteous and professional. They laid out planks of plywood and tarps to protect the siding, shrubs, etc. They did a very good job of clean-up once the job was finished. It started raining as they finished so we wetre unable to do an inspection, but everything I could see looked good. It's only been a couple weeks so I'll let you know if anything bad happens..

These guys were great. I contacted them after 9" of rain in three days exposed some roof issues. They were already backlogged by the time I contacted them, but they stuck to their schedule and showed up on time as planned. Seems like they did a thorough inspection of our roof and suggested what needed to be repaired. Estimate was in line with what I thought was reasonable. Glen showed up to do our repairs, and I have to say that this is definitely the guy you want doing work to your house. He clearly cares a lot about making sure problems are fixed the right way, not just masked over for a couple years. Very friendly and knowledgeable! Finding a good roofing company is a big deal -- if I wanted to climb around on top of my house to troubleshoot and repair then I wouldn't really need a roofing company. BUT, since there's no way I'm getting on my roof I want someone doing that work who I feel is worthy of my trust, because I'm not about to go up and inspect what they did!

In response to a leaking issue into our living room, Adam came out to assess. I'd had three other companies out, one roofer and two tuckpointers, none of whom ever got on the roof to look at the actual issue -- thenAdam from Bone Dry came to inspect. He climbed on the roof to look at our roof and chimney! I couldn't believe no one else had done that yet, and neither could he. He was very up front with what work needed to be done and was appalled at some of the estimates I'd gotten for work that was very unnecessary. Although we are unable to hire Bone Dry at this time (he felt confident that our problem was NOT a roofing issue), if we ever have roofing issues in the future I will definitely call Bone Dry. I now trust that they will only ask to do the work that is necessary, and no more. I cannot speak to their overall price/value because I did not receive a monetary estimate from them, but I expect it would be very reasonable since they are upfront about only doing work that is necessary.

I contacted Bone Dry because of an offer on Angie's List. I made an appointment for an estimate. I had some attic insulation, but suspected it was below an optimum depth. the estimator came out, measured, and told me what was needed to bring the attic up to an R-39 rating. I agreed to have the work done. By the end of the week I was called to learn the work could be done in a day or two. Two workers came out on the day specified. They installed the insulation, cleaned up after, and were finished in about 2 hours. both the estimator and work crew called to alert me they were on the way. I am pleased with the quality of work done and the professionalism of the workers. I can recommend this company. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Chris and Glen called to say they were on their way. Arrived 20 minutes later. Looked at the job to be done. Moved their truck so they could bring in equipment thru garage and up elevator. Put down tarps and interior corner protectors. I had hung sheets over shelves in closet that had access to the attic. I actually took the sheets off our bed and used them for the closet. I was a little worried about fiber glass getting in sheets, but used them anyway. We are on the top floor of a fancy condo and it was imperative that they would be tidy. Well, they finished the work, cleaned up every speck of fiber glass (although there was not much at all.) They vacuumed our closet, bedroom, halls and the hall carpeting and elevator floor. Then they swept the garage and even vacuumed some loose leaves that had blown in with the wind. Their professionalism was above reproach and I could tell they cared very much about their work. Seriously the nicest, most professional workers I've ever had. It's about 15 degrees outside now and I can already tell our top floor unit is warmer. Money well spent. There is a tax incentive throughout 2016--so we'll take advantage of that. Get this! They even took my sheets outside to shake off any insulation residue before I put them in the washing machine. Wow!

Bone Dry was fantastic. They arrived with four big trucks and about 10 people, swarmed over my garage roof and had it finished in 8 hours. It is beautiful, and appears to be extremely well done. The recent high winds did not faze it, while some of my neighbors had problems. They also replaced old siding on the back wall of the third floor of my house with new vinyl. When a leak appeared, they came back three times trying to find the leak. On the third try, they found it, and I can tell you in all honesty, it had nothing at all to do with the work they had done. The problem was something a previous contractor had done. I am as pleased with this contractor as one can be, I think, and intend to use them again if I need any work that they do.
Description of Work: Removed old roof on garage and installed new roof, replacing rotting plywood where needed. Removed old roofing from back wall of third floor, replaced with new vinyl siding.

Sad to say but after endless communication and nine months after my roof was entirely replaced, Bone Dry Roofing refuses to repair my chimney the correct way. The flashing was new, but the workmanship was good enough for a leak to occur less than one year of having the new roof. Bone Dry Roofing even proudly boasts a 10-year 100% Workmanship Warranty. To repair the leak, it took three visits before I was one caulk line closer to a bone dry house. The repair was one bead of caulk on the top edge of flashing. I will spare the details. Be prudent and cautious. $8500.00 and line of caulk? The math doesn't work.

They did a good job. I will used them again. The price was good, it is just that, the main thing was just trying to sell me more stuff.
Description of Work: It was a Big Deal. That was the first roofing company I used.

Hi (Removed member name), I'm sorry that you feel that way. We appreciate your business and only meant to inform you that the roof on your rental property is in bad shape and the repair you wanted was not going to be a long term solution. We are here if you determine in the near future you would like to move forward with the replacement of the roof. Ron
