Bone Dry Roofing Inc - St Louis

Had a severe storm come through this morning with leaking inside the ceiling of our dining room bay window. We panicked as we weren't sure where it was coming from and how much damage had occurred. I placed calls to several companies with emergency services and chose Bone Dry because they were able to come to our house within 2 hours of contacting them. When Ron, the general manager, came out he checked everything and concluded that only a minor repair was necessary which eased our worries tremendously. He also took the time to check our entire roof for any storm damage as well as PATIENTLY answered ALL of our questions! He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. This was our first experience with Angie's List and I couldn't be happier! I will HIGHLY recommend Bone Dry Roofing to everyone I know! I originally called three companies to get estimates. Ron from Bone Dry was the only one who got up on the roof and took measurements. He took time to talk to me about every aspect of the job, and defined terms for me so that I could understand what they were going to do, and the choices I had. He gave me a choice on the ice and water shields, the gutter aprons, and the counter-flashing on the chimney. His estimate was the lowest, even with the extras, and since they were so highly rated and Ron was very professional, we gave him the job. When the crew arrived the got straight to work. We did have a miscommunication right from the start. Our house had been in a tornado and there was slight damage to the soffit and fascia, which was allowing water in. When I spoke to Ron originally, I had thought he had agreed to do this repair with the roof replacement. Turns out he had thought we were going to use the company for the siding job too and he had intended to leave it till then-- he said that the roofing crew only did the roof. We spoke to him and the foreman both about it, and they agreed to go ahead and do the repair with the roof. They were very workable, and I appreciate that. The job is finished and looks beautiful. It took a day and a half, which is what they estimated. They cleaned up the yard pretty well, leaving behind a few cigarette butts and some wrappers, but no biggie. The gutter crew is separate, another miscommunication, and will be out at a later time. I wish i would have known that too. Overall, we had a very good experience with the company, and would use them again.

Since I have not gotten a quote and all the other roofers (appx 5) have provided a quote, I'd say this doesn't say much for them.

BoneDry did an excellent job on my roof. Ron was very professional, knowledgeable, reliable and honest. The crew did a great job in every detail replacing my roof and installing flashing and guards. The entire job was topnotch and looks fabulous. Price was very competitive and you cannot beat the quality and customer service. The crew also did a great job on clean up. I absolutely recommend them!

Ron was able to work up the estimate without having to reschedule estimate appt. (note: we didn't have all the supporting worksheets from our insurance company, yet). Ron's estimate was right on target with the insurance information (once we found the paperwork). Ron responded to any of our follow-up questions within a matter of hours. He did not try to to up-sell anything and did not try to get us to sign a contract without sending all proper estimate information (can't say the same for some other local companies). The crew showed up on target date and finished in less than 12 hours. They brought the dumpster and roofing shingles on the scheduled date. We did not need to store any of the material. Crew placed tarp on relatively new driveway before placing any equipment or materials on it. Also, crew used large magnet to clean up nails in driveway and yard after job was finished.

We were pleased. He came out, found our problem and fixed it right away. He tore off old shingles, patched around the base of the chimney and laid down new shingles. He knew what he was doing. They were very thorough and offered a better solution than the other guy that bid. I will use them again in the future.

Very well. Good presentation from Ron. Work was quality, timely and clean. Great promotion including $200 coupon on Angie's List and gift card for referrals. Price was in the middle which is where I wanted to be.

Ron came out and gave us a bid on installing a new roof. Ron was very helpful and submitted the lowest bid out of 4 contractors. We went with Ron not because of the lowest bid but because out of the 3 other roofing companies Ron seemed to care about us the most. The old roof was removed and a new one installed in one day. The workmen were very courteous and no damage was done to any of our bushes and all trash was picked up. I like the fact that the roofers hand nailed each shingle with 4 nails. The new roof looks great! While we were in the process of getting bids our son bought a new house and his inspector found hail damage on the roof of his new house. The seller's insurance company inspector and a "handy man" they used found no hail damage. I asked Ron if he would inspect the roof and submit an estimate to fix any damage he might find. Ron found $2,000 worth of hail damage and our son asked the seller to credit him that amount, even though their insurance agent would not pay. The seller credited my son with the $2,000 which was used, at closing, to buy additional points on our son's loan and over 30 years that will save our son a lot of interest money. I highly recommend Ron - he went out of his way to help our family with our roofing problems.

The work went smoothly. The finished job has an excellent appearance which received favorable comments from my neighbors across the street. Cleanup was good! We found a few roofing nails but that was not surprising considering the amount of our shrubbery.

Ron's explanation of the proposal was thorough, professional, and priced right. On a record hot day, the work was done on time, in one day, with a fine clean up to boot. The following day, Ron reviewed their work with us and their warranty.

One call is enough and the CUSTOMER is KING!!! A new experience... We would hope that Ron has a lot of brothers in all trade sectors! He is a very good manager for the company and a very good leader for the team. He and his team are competent and professional in the decision and execution of their work. Ron was very professional and gave as a fair estimate. The work was completed on time, and my husband and I were/are pleased with our new roof. We would definitely use their services again in the future.

I contacted Ron because of a sign in the neighborhood, he gave me an estimate which was in line with other bids i received. But i felt Ron was very trustworthy from our phone conversations so he got the job. They had an amazing crew that took care of the job in no time at all.

Ron was the man in charge that came and spoke with me and talked me through the whole process and was patcient awnsering all questions I had.

The Bone Dry Roof staff were punctual, courteous and finished the work timely. The most important fact was that they cleaned up after the job was done. No nails or shingles were found on the ground. Ron came out a couple of days after my call to review the job and later provided an estimate. He explained in detail what the charges were and did not try to sell me a product or work I did not need. The crew started at 7 am and was finished by 2:30 pm. They almost worked non stop. This was one of the hottest days in St. Louis. The Production Supervisor was on site for most of the job to make certain the job was progressing without problems. The crew did a very good job and I am pleased with the work. I would highly recommend them to my neighbors and friends and would use them again.

I scheduled estimate to help find and stop the leak. Ron came out promptly as scheduled and checked out the problem areas on my high 2.5 story roof. While up there he noticed a cracked shingle that had appeared to have been sealed up in the past but had since failed. I grabbed my caulk gun and silicon and tossed it to him and he sealed it all up again while he was still up there. He also pointed out other areas on my flat roof that I could easily seal up on my own with some roofing tar. Great customer service and if I still have an area letting water in I will definitely give a call back for another inspection.

Bone Dry Roofing was the first bidder to respond, the lowest bidder and provided the most thorough proposal. They did an efficient and high quality job. The manager, Mr. Ron was very helpful and easy to work with.

Superb. From responding to phone call for an estimate to the completion of the work. Also easy to pay them since they have online payment capability.

It was a signed contract but they did not give us an accurate estimate. The guy miscalculated the square footage of the roof so we ended up paying more. I wasn't happy with that, it was a good job on the roof and I'm sure he didn't intend to do it. I would tell others to double check their estimate. It was a nice company but we had to pay an extra thousand dollars. We picked them because they were significantly cheaper than the others, the actual price was in line with others. We may have still gone with them. It was more than a thousand dollar difference but we agreed on that price as what we would pay.

He came out right away for the estimate and he sent someone else the very next day to do the work. I was very happy with his professionalism. They found a few more missing shingles and replaced those. They came as soon as possible to get it fixed before the next set of storms came in. I trusted him when he said the roof was fine and he didn't try to sell me a new roof. I would use him again. He was very pleasant and professional. He came right away. I didn't get any other estimates because I wanted it done right away. He also went up in the attic because our insulation is very poor and I wanted to improve it. He gave me a quote to replace the insulation but I haven't had that work done but he was a bit expensive on that. I was happy with their attitude and professionalism. I assumed they did a good job.

Our experience with Bone Dry Roofing was excellent. We did our homework and called a couple of roofing companies. Bone Dry Roofing was the only company to show up on the same day. Their manager Ron Russelburg was incredibly helpful but not in any way pushy or demanding like other companies that we encountered. He walked us through every step of his inspection and estimate process, explaining each cost along the way. In the end, we decided to go with Bone Dry Roofing not only because they offered the best price but also because of their already evident strong work ethic and accountability. On the day of the roof replacement, Ron was also present the whole time and thoroughly checked our roof afterward to ensure a job well done. Bone Dry Roofing was a pleasure to work with. They were punctual, courteous, and incredibly considerate. As a family who has never had their roof replaced, Bone Dry Roofing made the whole process easy and stress free. We could not recommend them more and have already informed our neighbors and friends of their superior service and work.

We spent a great deal of time before choosing a company to re-roof our home. We couldn't be happier with our choice of Bone Dry Roofing. Ron came to my home and discussed what they would do and answered all of my questions. After sitting down with me for nearly an hour, he then went on the roof to get a close look at what the job would entail. I found out later that many companies look at your roof from google and never come in person to make the bid. After meeting with Ron, we got three more bids, but we were most comfortable with the way Ron kept in touch with us and his cost was what we were hoping for. The crew that arrived to do the job were on time, organized, and worked until 7:30pm the first day. The job was completed the next day about noon. We now have a beautiful roof done by a company I would highly recommend to anyone who needs this service.

We had had a leak from around the chimney into our attic off and on for about four years. Our original roof company would come out to correct the problem but it would always start leaking again. Ron came out and took pictures showing us the huge mess of caulk these guys had accumulated on the chimney flashing and explained why it kept failing. He also pointed out an area near the chimney where the siding fascia had been incorrectly installed and explained how this could let water under the shingles. After Bone Dry replaced the flashing and sealed the chimney crown we have had no leaking even after torrential rains.

They honestly told me that I was asking for something I could not benefit from and I appreciate their honesty. Instead they offered what they thought I could use. I asked them to estimate a ridge vent for my roof, but due to the construction of the house, we cannot benefit from that until we put on a new roof and add vents at the low end of the roof. They explained how to do it right and that I should not purchase the ridge vent as it would not add the benefit I would expect. I very much appreciate their honesty, as had they estimated it, I would likely have had it installed.

They came when they said they would, did the work well, and left nothing out of place.
