The flat roof over my patio had a leak. Ron came out to look at it and bid the job. Even though the weather has been rainy, they were able to schedule this small job within a week. Bryan called to let me know when he was en route to my house. He promptly fixed the problem and was on his way. The first time I used Bone Dry was in August 2011. I had noticed a water stain on the ceiling in my family room next to the fireplace. At that time I called several companies (from Angie's List) for bids. The other guys came by to look but none of them - except Bone Dry - actually went up on the roof! Ron (from Bone Dry) came inside & looked at the ceiling first, then got on top of the roof, and really diagnosed the situation. That is why I went with Bone Dry the first time, and why I will stay with them in the future. Bryan was the one who did that job too. That repair involved removing and replacing the counter flashing around two chimneys. Also some shingles had to be replaced and they were able to match the color. The job was elegantly done. Even the neighbors commented. That job cost $1260. I would highly recommend them. They are prompt, polite, thorough and professional. They are articulate and explain everything they are doing, The office staff is nice too, when you talk to them on the phone. And you get a 5% discount for belonging to Angie's List.
Description of Work: This is the second time I have used them. Bryan did the work each time, and he was great.

gene and brian came to my home to give me a second opinion on hale damage on my roof. we were contacted by a storm chaser who told us we needed a whole new roof and gutters. Upon acessing the roof gene verified what I suspected, there was not enough damage to warrent a new roof. I definately would use a honest co. like theirs if I have work to be done in the future, nice work guys.

Our 100-year-old carriage house garage badly needed a new flat roof. Previous owners had deferred maintenance for years and applied amateurish patches in an effort to cheaply keep out the rain. Wood was rotting, and the brick interior walls were getting damaged. We contacted a number of roofing companies for bids, and selected Dry Bone Roofing because they took the time to schedule an appointment so that my wife and I could be there to open the garage and discuss the work required. We also appreciated the skill with which Ron Russelburg, General Manager, assessed the condition of the roof, sub roof, and supporting structure to give a bid that included the replacement of rotten wood. The other roofing companies did unscheduled drive-by estimates, so the pricing of their bids did not include any wood replacement and repair, which meant actual costs would be higher than what was bid. Bryan Nicks, the on site Production Supervisor, arrived on time with his crew, efficiently removed the old roof, replaced/repaired roof supports, replaced the entire sub roof, and installed the new flat roof barrier in one day. They returned the following day to install the clay tile roof caps and finish cleaning up. The quality of their work was tested during several thunderstorms with heavy downpours, and it was such a treat to have a dry garage interior. Bone Dry did an excellent job, and they were great at keeping us informed throughout the entire process. We would recommend Bone Dry to our friends and co-workers because we appreciate the quality of their workmanship and the value of their bids.

Ron Russelburg came out to the house several times to evaluate a leak, check for storm damage, answer our questions, and give us a free estimate on fixing/replacing the roof. Our insurance company authorized full roof replacement due to hail damage. Bone Dry Roofing patched the roof, for free, to get us through the winter until they could replace the roof. They tore off the old shingles and hand nailed 30 year architectural shingles on the house and garage. When they took off the old roof they found that some of the roof wood was damaged and needed to be replaced--they showed us pictures and explained why the damage needed to be repaired before the new shingles could go on. The work was completed in the estimated time, and the clean-up of our yard was very good. Everyone we dealt with at the company was very friendly and helpful and we had quick responses to all our questions.

Most companies that gave me an estimate came to the same conclusion, but Ron was one of the only ones who took time to get on the roof and inspect it. This enabled him to discover a couple of shingles with holes in them. Overall, this is a very professional company that seems to be reasonably priced. Time will tell on the quality of the work, however, I have a feeling that is not going to be an issue.

Based on the reviews on Angie's' List, I called Bone Dry Roofing to come out and check our roof because we had a leak. The woman made an appointment for me within a week...great start and then it went downhill. There was no "day before" confirmation called, but I didn't think that was unusual. However, after waiting past the appointment time, on my scheduled day, I called Bone Dry and the woman said she couldn't find my scheduled appointment. She took the information again and said they had computer problems on the day I had made the appointment, but Ron Russelburg had my information. She gave me his number to call and said she would also have him call me. I decided to see if anyone would call me back, so I did not contact him. It has been a week later and no one has called. So much for doing business with Bone Dry Roofing.

First let me apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We did experience a problem with our computers the day you scheduled the appointment. However your info was not saved in our database. We did set aside the time that day hoping you would call back prior to the appointment. That way they could get the address and phone number to me. Unfortunately you did not so we had no way of contacting you. And when you called later after the appointment time I was instructed you would call me directly to reschedule. We are still interested in assisting you. Sorry again. My number is 314-922-8257. Ron Russelburg

Bone Dry roofing was professional, courteous and very competent from the first phone call to the final work! Absolutely amazing level of professionalism and quality!!! A very helpful person answered their phone, and they actually set an appointment time for the original estimate. Ron called me the day of the appointment to inform me in would be 10 minutes late. He arrived at his exact estimated time, and carefully evaluated the roof. He gave us an estimate of less than $200 to repair the damaged shingles. He suggested they trim a few other shingles in the valley to avoid future problems. We agreed to the estimate, and the work was completed within the next week. The techinician who fixed the roof was polite, professional and competent. Our experience with Bone Dry Roofing was absolutely perfect from start to finish. This was a very, very small job, but they treated us like our roof and our business was important to them . We contacted several other roofing companies on Angie's list, and Bone Dry Roofing is the only company that scheduled an appointment, and came to give us an estimate within a reasonable time frame. If we ever need a new roof or any repairs to our roof, we will call Bone Dry Roofing. They are absolutely top notch!!!!!

c This company did a terrific job from start to finish. Our building was a 2-story 4-unit apartment complex so the height and tall ladders were a factor to all concerned, but the men were very polite, hard working and diligent during the 2 days it took to complete the job. Their General Mgr. Ron was most pleasant and thoroughly explained the many steps they would employ to replacing our roof and left a colorful brochure about his company, incluidng a copy of the BBB rating A+ for his firm. Both Ron and Bryan, who was on site supervising the job addressed all of our concerns and answered all of our questions to our total satisfactiion. We especially appreciated how the crew cleaned up around all of the areas from our large back area out from our parking garages to our very long driveway to the street. (They even blew away a collection of our leaves.) I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: Removed old roofing and vent collars and installed new collars and roof. Also removed old TV antenna and multiple wires connected that was no longer needed. Also replaced 10 ft. of new boards needed and removed and reset gutter screens.

I called Ron to come over and check out my gutters since I had several areas of overflow. My gutters are 35 years old. He checked everything and did a slight adjustment on the gutter covers. He told me the overflow might be caused by debris in the gutter. During his examination he noticed that squirrels had chewed through the pipe boots and wondered if I noticed any rain leaking into the house. I told him no but he suggested we replace both boots and rain collars. He took pictures of the damaged pipes to show me. I thought the price was somewhat high but I had no reference point. I didn't want to call anyone else. This is the first roofing company I contacted and was referred to Ron by Gary Brinkmann of "Honey-Do Handyman". I totally trust Gary Brinkmann's opinions and Gary has done work for me in the past. I didn't realize that Ron lives in my neighborhood. I found him to be totally professional, easy to talk to and I trusted his opinions. The following week Brian came over to do the repair before it rained. Brian was personable as well as professional and did a good job. I also liked that you could pay by credit card. This small job went well and I will be contacting Ron's roofing business in the future.

Cody came about an hour earlier than our scheduled appointment. Which worked out great since my husband had not left for work yet, he was able to talk to Cody about the situation. Animals had made a nest in the gutter and into the roof valley by our front porch. After we removed the twigs, and leaves it left a gap between the shingles and wood. With the sheet metal in place he said the animals would not be able to make another nest there. He didn't even charge us to come out and do that. I was amazed. He also had some helpful suggestions about how to correct the problem of the rain just flying off the valley, in the same area, and right over the gutter, damaging the concrete sidewalk below. We would use this company in the future. Cody seemed to be very knowledgeable about a variety of issues around our home including the roof and gutters. It was a pleasant experience by all, because of the respect, integrity and professionalism we felt Cody displayed.

From when we got our estimate, to the final details we were very pleased with the service provided by Ron Russelburg and his company. Ron was easy to reach regarding any questions, and was present to supervise when the roof was placed. He even patiently allowed one of our neighbor children (who I am sure was in the way) to watch. Because we had several different things done, there were several sets of workers at the house on several different dates. Each time they were professional and efficient, finishing in a timely manner. Each time they did a great job cleaning up, leaving little trace of the very messy work done. The chimney people even went the extra mile to rearrange my patio furniture in a much more aesthetic manner than I had hurriedly placed it initially!

We would definitely use Bone Dry again in the future and have recommended to several neighbors.,.
Description of Work: Needed our roof replaced as a result of Hail damage. Called a couple roofers to come out and inspect the damage and to get estimates and we liked the suggested options by Bone Dry. They provided a very detailed estimate with suggested options which was pretty much what the appraiser estimated when he came to inspect the roof. Our Insurance adjuster inspected the roof and authorized replacement and we chose Bone Dry Roofing. They started as scheduled but it rained that day and had to stop. They unfortunately encountered more rain the next day but were able to get 70 % done - I was worried about the roof being exposed but the workers continued working in some pretty hard down pours to ensure my roof was secured with the tar paper before stopping - No leaking occurred and I truly commend those workers, they did a great job as It was tough that day. Giving all the conditions that they had to endure they worked amazingly fast, and did an excellent job as well. All nails are hammered - no nail gun. After the job was completed, they cleaned up everything. When they left, it was as if they had not been there, except there was a new roof on the house. I had spoke with the supervisor, Bryan several times and he was very friendly and professional. The crew was extremely hard working and we were very impressed with the whole project, from start to finish - from estimate to cleanup.

They were timely and thorough in getting the initial quote to us. They followed up on the quote and when we asked for additional information, which included references or houses to go look at just because we were challenged with how we were going to pick. They provided all that and all the feedback we got from everyone that we went and saw, because we went and knocked on the door and informed them. We got into conversations and everybody just had great things to say about them. Their final work was outstanding. There was an issue was that, at the edge where the brown gutters met the brownish-colored shingles, there was a gap showing white. They did paint that at my request. Also, the size of the downspouts that they installed were a different size than the underground drainage pipes. There were multiple of those caps to connect to the drainage pipes, and they said it would be an extra cost. I was able to negotiate with them about the cost of these additional items, which I had not anticipated or asked about since I thought they'd be included as a part of the replacement. But overall, they were super: clean, quick, polite. They really seem to have done really solid work on our house.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Bone Dry Roofing St Louis in the early part of July to tear off the roof, re-roof and install all new gutters. I hired them to do the work.

They did a great job. They were fine, everything was fine. The only difficulty I had was this $200 coupon for doing the job through Angie's List. They had some questions for me about it which I thought was a little silly. They did end up honoring but in the end he was questioning it. I was wondering why they were concentrating on this $200 coupon. Everything else was great.

The job was done on the scheduled day. They tried to work it in a few days early, but it rained that day, so they did not start. Materials were delivered early in the morning, and then the crew and supervisor came. They work amazingly fast, and do an excellent job as well. All nails are hammered - no nail gun. After the job was completed, they cleaned up everything. When they left, it was as if they had not been there, except there was a new roof on the house. The supervisor, Bryan, was very friendly and professional. The crew was extremely hard working, and the job appears to be as good as anyone could expect. We were very impressed with the whole project, from start to finish - from estimate to cleanup. We would definitely use Bone Dry again,. UPDATE: We had water dripping from a water heater vent in cold weather; figured condensation. Got worse (after the roofing job) and we called Ron at Bone Dry. He said that he doubted the roofing job had anything to do with it, but would come look. Next day, he showed us that the (50 year old) collar and flange at the bottom of the vent stack was rotten with rust and corrosion, and that is where the water was coming from. UPDATE: 4/16/14 - Tony from Bone Dry replaced the vent cover and painted the stack, Very courteous, quick and professional. He suggested, and we agreed, that he fix it. That was Saturday. On Monday, Bryan showed up to fix it, and did so at a very reasonable price. We are still pleased with Bone Dry. 8/26/12 There was a problem with gutter guards and the ice block stuff. The guards were not put back right. Not the company's fault; we should have called the gutter guard company and didn't. The company sent Tony Galati to remove the problem shingles, remove and clean the guards, and replace the two rows of shingles. Tony worked very hard all day, and is a very considerate and conscientious guy. He had an encounter with a nest of hornets, or something, in the gutter, and cleaned them out, as well. The repairs were not free, but I think the price was reasonable, given that it was something that we could have avoided by calling the gutter guard company in the first place, and it was two years later that we finally decided to get the problem fixed.
Description of Work: Hail damaged roof. Insurance company told us to find a roofer to inspect it, and if it needed replacing, then call for an adjuster. Bone Dry Roofing was the roofer we called, and Bone Dry did the job. They provided a very detailed estimate, with suggested options (but no pressure to take them) and the estimate turned out to be pretty much what the appraiser estimated when he came to inspect the roof. The adjuster inspected the roof and authorized replacement.

WOW!!! Ron and Bone Dry deserve A+++++++++! I had a unique experience with Bone Dry while selling my house and they never let me down! I initially called to get an estimate for a new roof (along with 4 other contractors). Ron was very professional and communicated better than I had expected. He called when he was coming out and also emailed me the proposal right away! Ron was the only roofer who I felt was honest and didn't try to up-sell me something I didn't need. For example, the flashing on the house was only a few years old and in good shape, so Ron would leave it in place. About 3 weeks before the scheduled install, we got a contract on our house. Concerned about how the new roof was going to fit into the closing/sale process, I emailed/called Ron to discuss our options as to whether the proposal could be transferred to the new buyers and move the install date if needed. Ron called me promptly and assured me that he would work with us in whatever way needed to make the process go smoothly. Boy did he live up to his word!! As part of the contract, the buyers wanted the flashing to be replaced as to get the full Bone Dry warranty. To satisfy this request, Ron promptly communicated with the buyer's agent and came out to take measurements and provide the estimate for the flashing. ...fast forward to install date. The install team (led by Brian) were amazing. It was blazing hot and these guys worked through it. It took 2 days because of the heat, but they did an amazing job. Brian was also great at communicating through the install process. He worked until around 7 PM on the 2nd day to get the job done! At this point we were only about a week away from closing.....there was some confusion with what the title company needed in terms of lien waiver ...and Ron stepped up to the plate again and worked with the title company to get them what they needed. Ron really went above and beyond what he was asked to do! I'm so very thankful I chose Bone Dry Roofing!! I will recommend Bone Dry to EVERY person I know looking to get a new roof!!

I received about 5 bids and liked Bone Dry best, even though they weren't the cheapest, I had confidence in their recommendations and quality approach. Some other firms that bid tried to talk me out of installing ridge vents without very good logic on their recommendation. Another firm would do the roof work but not the guttering and several firms offering much lower bids seemed to be impersonal, high volume, operations. I also liked that Bone Dry offered complete hand-nailing, which I had heard before was an ideal technique. After being selected as the contractor for us, the estimator - Ron - did a great job keeping us informed regarding the potential start date and once a firm date was set, they showed up to do the work. Unfortunately for them - they picked several of the years hottest days to show up for work - pretty much 100 degrees througout the project (and much higher on the roof). Bone Dry's crew came in from Indianapolis to help the St. Louis office with higher demand here, and though at first that concerned me a little, I quickly liked their project manager on-site at the project and could and appreciated that he was keeping me closely informed of the progress and was very patient withy any questions. The crew was all non-English speaking, but they were respectful and worked hard in what were terrible work conditions (the heat). They would start very early in the day and work until they couldn't take the hear any more - and then waited most of the afternoon until they could get back up on the roof again and work until nearly dark. They stuck with the project, despite taking maybe 1/2 to 1 day longer due ot the heat, and didn't leave the site until everything was clearned up perfectly. At the the end, the roof looks great and the clean up was excellent. I would definitely recommend this firm. They did send a second crew out a few weeks' later to replace the guttering and downspouts. Though my interaaction with them was more limited, they seemed friendly and also seemed to do good work and clean up after themselves well. Although the price may sound high - we have a very large roof and very steep. Our house was a display house and the original home builder had done sloppy roof work, not put down felt and not layed the shingle rows evenly or hammered consistently - which led to a roof that needed repairs and was susectable to damage, way befor it's time. It's nice to have the house protected now by a well constructed rood that I'm confident we won't have to worry about for many years.
Description of Work: Bone Dry removed our old roof, and replaced it with an architectural shingle from Certainteed as well as installed a roof vent across all peaks and replaced all guttering and downspouts.

Called due to a ceiling leak on 2nd floor. He came out right away. When he arrived, it began storming heavily. He waited until it passed, then climbed up to check the roof. After assessing the situation, he provided me with pictures of what he felt the problem was. Turned out it was debris from squirrels behind a vent. He cleared the area and didn't charge a dime. I was so impressed with his service, then he refused to take compensation. I will definitely use Bone Dry Roofing again.

Came right out when I called. Was very professional. Initially thought that they couldn't do the job because initially because of their current workload and recomended a couple of other companies. In the end they were able to fit me in and I have had NO issues with my roof since then. Will call them again in the future.
Description of Work: Installed 24 foot piece of torchable flintastic, installed a terminating bar and sealed area on fron parapet wall.
