Went well. Took a bit longer ( one half additional day ) but they did an excellent job. They did a few extra small things that I asked them to do at no charge. Their workers always worked hard and there was always an on-site supervisor ( Richie ) . They were also very timely and did the job when I asked them to schedule as I had a small leak and had other things to coordinate. They were able to coordinate everything on their end and did what they said they would do ( and a few additional things ) . Their rates were also very competitive.
Description of Work: Complete old shingle roof tear off and installation of a new shingle roof. They also hand nailed every shingle.

I ended up calling a gentleman who was recommended by my neighbor, who came out that day. He fixed the cause of the leak which was a missing elbow in a downspout. I am sure that had the Bone Dry Crew come out to tarp my home they would have realized the issue quickly and probably would have fixed the problem that day for far less than the cost of tarping my roof.
Description of Work: I called Bone Dry Roofing after my roof in my garage started pouring water into my husband's parking area. The receptionist said that due to all the rains we had been having lately, that there was a six week wait before they would be able to fix our leak. She did let me know that a small crew could come out and tarp the roof for us for around $300. She was very nice about everything and apologized that they could not fix my roof right away.

Excellent. Arrived on time for the estimate and completed a full inspection of the roof (vs just providing a quote on what I knew needed done). They then reviewed all findings, and provided a quote to fix what I needed. Their price was about a third of another well known roofer in town. I signed the contract and within a week they completed the work. The repairs look great and I am very happy. Overall, great guys and I would highly recommend them.

He was very nice. He at least tried to see what he could do for me. He offered to do the vinyl siding. I really felt like he was trying to do me a favor, and wanted to help me. He was great to talk with, and really seemed to care, but just couldn't do the job. I've been hooked up with siding people. Most of them just tell me all they can do is enclose it with vinyl.
Description of Work: I have asbestos siding. Bryan, the salesman, was very nice. He was here thursday, and he was supposed to get back with me, but didn't. I ended up calling him, and he said he wasn't interested in the job.

It went very well. The price was a competitive price. In terms of scheduling the work, they were able to accommodate our schedule and schedule us quickly. In terms of their ability to do the work quickly, they did so. They completed the roof over a course of a day. The work was done professionally. The crew did a good job of cleaning up the debris.

The work was performed in August 2012. I didn't review the company immediately due to the issues I had and wanted to wait to see if my feelings about their work would change after some time. Overall experience was not good. Installation date was moved up several days (good). Window wraps scheduled day before roof but installers did not show-up until after 4:30 PM and then had to rush the job. One window was caulk incorrectly blocking the weep holes. The foreman "fixed" it by just removing some caulk by two of the weep holes but another two where still blocked. The caulk needed to be removed and redone. It was dark by the time the crew left. Because I was not satisfy with the installation of the last two window warps (that were finish in the dark) Bone Dry had the crew return to redo those wraps. The roof was scheduled for the next day with an afternoon start time. The crew arrived, ate lunch and then started the roofing job at 2 PM. The foreman's work order did not show the shed to be reroof but the salesman did include it in the price and had order enough roofing materials. This caused the crew to try and rush to get it all done by dark but still had to returned the next morning to complete the shed roof and clean-up. Though we were told that their roof crews are experience by the salesman, the foreman told my wife that the crew doing our roof was not experience in hand nailing and the main claim of Bone Dry Roofing is hand nailing the roof. The work crew lean sheets of plywood against the house to protect the windows and screens but still managed to rip two screens. They put traps on the ground to protect plants and catch the stray roofing debris and nails but manage to get more nails in the grass then on the traps. An issue came up with the way the old gutter flashing had been installed which required the gutters to be removed to install the new flashing correctly. Bone Dry did have the gutters replaced the next day. The turbines were not leveled when installed and the holes for the turbines were too small. The chimney counter-flashing was not caulked on the vertical runs and they forgot to install the ice/water shield and step flashing under the counter-flashing. If I wouldn't have gone into my attic to clean the whole house fan louvers or up on the ladder to repair a mortar joint on my chimney, the under size turbine vents holes and missing chimney flashing would have gone unnoticed. These are issues that should have been done correctly in the first place and I considered serious mistakes. Bone Dry responded quickly to my emails complaints and came out ASAP to correct the issues. I had sent the emails to Brian, Richard and the office mail box. Turns out the office email box is the home office in Indiana and when they came out to inspect and correct the mistakes they commented that they didn't appreciate that I notified the home office. I guess that why they responded ASAP to my complaints. Once everything was corrected, the roof, turbines, gutters and window wraps look good. We selected this contractor based on the Angie List Reviews and BBB ratings but feel we could have done better.

The crew arrived a few minutes early and started to set up for work. It was amazing - they layed thick plywood planks down on my driveway to distribute the weight of the truck which was used to haul away the old hail-damaged roof. Each member of the crew had a job to do before heading up to the roof. Only at lunch did they socialize. Never while working. The old roof was removed quickly and no debris fell into the schrubs around the house, because they set up deflection boards against them and plastic over them. I really liked that! Next the bundled were hoisted to the roof, (and some of the guys even hand carried bundles up the ladder to make the job go faster. The felt was rolled out, stapled down and then the real work started. I was happy to see that they hand nailed the shingles to the roof because when using a nail gun, it's easy to miss the nail-strip on the shingle, which will void its warranty. Isn't hand-nailing slower? No, I watched the guys nail every bit as fast as someone using a nail gun. The color of the shingles are perfect and look so good. When talking with the job supervisor, he said they would have the job finished in one day; I was very skepticle. They did it! Bone Dry's crew are very experienced and worked steadily and if they needed more time, plenty of daylight was left. My roof is a bit complicated because there are several angles and a room addition to work around. They are pros, end of story. A couple of weeks after the roof was replaced, their crew arrived to replace the gutters. They are as competitent and professional as the roofing team. I highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing because their bid was $1000.00 less than the company I was originally wanting to use plus - their workmanship, quality and crews are excellent. People who know me know I am very critical of service and construction work at my home. Beyond any doubt, I am beyond pleased and satisfied with the work. Everyone from the office team to the last man to leave the jobsite are wonderfully personable, helpful and worked to make certain I was a satisfied customer. I am a very satisfied customer.
Description of Work: Remove existing roof damaged from softball sized hailstones. Replace roof decking as needed. Remove and replace vent covers with new lead. Remove turbine vents. The work seemed to be done well, but after the next big rain a few days later, (on a Saturay night) we had water dripping from our chimney (no damage). My husband called Bone Dry and they returned his call Monday morning. They were out that day to fix whatever needing fixing that same day (no charge). We haven't had any more problems since, so we've been satisified with their work. The only other issue was that on each downspout from the gutters, they used black plastic material (like large PVC pipe) when the rest of the downspouts were white. And they never let us know when they were coming to do the gutters- they just showed up one day. I know they had a LOT of work due to 100's of homes getting hail damage, but I wish they had been better at communication.
Description of Work: We had a re-roof after getting a lot of hail damage. We have a chimney and sun roof. They also replaced- or contracted out? - fixing the gutters.

Our roof suffered some storm damage in the Spring of 2012. It began as a relatively minor issue with a few shingles missing. I procrastinated correcting the issue until another storm took out a more significant number of shingles to the point where we had water leaking into the house. Our insurance company noted earlier hail damage we were unaware of and authorized coverage for full roof replacement. We received quotes from 5 roofing companies. Bone Dry's price was about at the midpoint of the quotes we received and ultimately we felt the best about their means and methods used for roof replacement, plus we had read their positive feedback on Angie's List. Their price was slightly higher than our insurance company's original estimate, but they worked with the insurance company to have their quote fully covered. Because of the heavy volume of roof repair throughout the region this year they said they wouldn't be able to schedule my replacement until 5-6 weeks. Within a week, however, they called and said another job was finishing early and that they could move me up in their schedule. The job was originally described as a 1-2 day job that spilled over into a 3rd day, but it was not an inconvenience as I was not required to be present at the house for their work. They cleaned up well, including a thorough sweeping of my detached garage after I noticed some nails and old roofing material had leaked through the wood decking and into the garage.

Unlike other companies, Bone Dry Roofing actually took the time to meet with us face to face and discuss the materials, options and services that would best meet our needs, and their bid was lower than the two other bids we received by a couple thousand dollars. Once we signed the contract, we did have to wait over a month for our new roof to be installed, but we weren't in a rush, so it was fine. They finished the roof in one day and it looks great, so I would definitely recommend Bone Dry Roofing.

The work was scheduled and completed within a very reasonable timeframe considering the amount of work and the need to coordinate several work projects at one time. The repair teams were punctual, professional, and considerate. There were some days with rather unfavorable weather but to our surprise, there was a work team plugging along! The only delays encountered were due to the insurance estimator needing to approve any additional work the Bone Dry crew identified incidental to their other work. Again, Ron stepped up and worked with the estimator and the work was approved and completed. Any subsequent but relatively minor concerns have been attended to promptly and fairly. I would not hesitate to have Bone Dry do any future repairs! They have been great.
Description of Work: Our homeowners association contracted with Bone Dry for insurance roofing, siding and gutter repair for our 32 units. Ron worked diligently with our insurance estimator. Despite a tedious negotiation, Ron was finally able to get the insurance estimator to agree to more favorable terms on our behalf.

Brian came and gave me an estimate after the first phone call. My insurance did not give me enough money for the project and Brian was a real trooper and kept on working with me and my insurance until an agreement was met on the cost. We had to change the dates to put the roof on the house for different reasons but the team that came was awesome. What workers! The neighbors even commented on how hard and quickly they worked as a team. After the work was completed they gave me a walk through and asked if everything was ok. The gutters were completed about a week later. This is a great company and I would recommend them.

We have used Bone Dry Roofing about 2 yrs ago when they put on a new roof for us. We were very happy with the work. Then after damage from a hail storm in April of this year it was determined that we needed to replace the roof even though there were no leaks. . It was difficult trying to coordinate with the insurance company and Bone Dry and getting every one to agree on what all needed replacement eg vents, flashing etc and what was included in the bids and the estimates. I am an out of state landlord which complicated matters. The scheduled date to have the roof replaced was changed about 3 times and then they arrived unannounced on an unscheduled day. Again, this was awkward because of having tenants who needed advance notice. The roof was replaced. After the first rain a leak was discovered and Bone Dry promptly did some sealing around the chimney. A few weeks later a new leak was discovered. Bone Dry has been back twice now to fix that . So far the latest repair seems to be holding. The staff has been friendly. Responsiveness to my concerns has been prompt. Each of the three times I've called about a leak someone has been there within a day.

The time to receive and estimate was only two days from when I called and requested the bid. Brian was on time and was knowledgeable and courteous during the measuring and bidding process. After accepting the bid I was placed on the schedule 5 weeks out to have the actual work completed on my home . On the day the work was to be complete the workers and a foreman showed up shortly after 7 am to begin. The foreman knocked on the door, introduced himself and went over the work order to ensure it matched my expectations and he stayed onsite through the entire day. The workers completed the tear off in quick fashion and did a good job of keeping debris out of my landscaping and yard. They brought their own towed dumpster and one crew member walked the property picking up debris and filling the dumpster throughout the day. I had a 30 year architectural shingle installed that included a main ridge vent and drip edge/gutter apron. The installation was completed in one day and met my expectations. I was only able to find 3 nails on my property after the crew left, which is great. My ONLY complaint and the reason for the B rating on the professionalism is as follows. After the crew left and I was outside with my dog (a boxer) inspecting the work I noticed my dog chewing and choking. I ran over to her and had to reach into her mouth/throat to pull out what was giving her problems and was surprised to find that it was a chicken wing bone. Inspecting the area around where she was I found another 10-15 wing bones and even more in a different spot of the front yard. Here's what I don't get; They had a rolling dumpster in the driveway (7 feet from the pile of wing bones that were left in my yard), additionally I had my personal trash can pulled out so that they had a place to put drink cups and other trash. The work that was performed was great, and the end result met/exceeded my expectations but having my dog choke on a bone that could have so easily been tossed into a trash can really put a damper on the experience. I would recommend bone dry for the work that was done and for experience i had with the office staff and the estimator. Just do a thorough walk of your property post install to make sure it's left they way it was found.

We had a 6 inch diameter hole in the roof which was being expanded upon by a resident squirrel. When it rained outside, we would get water coming into our kitchen. We called Ron with Bone Dry Roofing and he stated that he would give us an estimate. The estimate came back and it seemed reasonable. We scheduled a date and the roofer showed up as expected. We were not at the house, but I received a call at work to confirm they were there. When the roofer got on top, he identified a problem with the requested fix. Ron called and explained that if they only fixed the hole then the flashing and rest of the shingles along the seam where the dormer meets the house (on the side) may not provide full protection from the rain. I asked numerous questions of Ron, including why it was not noted when I had the original estimate. He noted that they would not have known about this with the estimate unless they could have seen below the shingles. The roofer saw this when he started the work. Ron was professional and answered all of my questions. His responses seemed reasonable. The extra work increased the cost due to the steep nature of our roof. Ron worked out a reasonable price with us. We were pleased with the workmanship and there have been no issues with the roof since then. We would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Repaired a 6 inch diameter hole. In addition, removed shingles along the seam of a dormer (on the side), put in flashing and shingled over it. This was on a very steep roof.
