Same ownership since inception almost 30 years ago. High-quality workmanship performed by long-time, hourly employees. (Many contractors in the industry solely sub-contract.) We even have an in-house sheet metal crew for copper roofs, copper gutters, commercial gutter systems and other metal work. (We do use the same sub-contractor, since inception, for residential gutter replacement only.) RICHARDS ROOFING & EXTERIORS, INC. HAS RECEIVED ANGIE'S LIST SUPER SERVICE AWARD IN ROOFING CONTINUOUSLY FROM 2004 THROUGH 2018. This is more years than many of the other area roofing contractors have been in business ! Description of Work: Richards Roofing did an excellent job. I had some leaks that I had tried to repair to very old guttering. The work I contracted for was New Gutters, Soffits, Fascia, Siding and a Lip under the siding and over the brick, as well as putting on a new flat roof 12x20 over a porch. I was already aware of some problem areas, and they were able to point them out, as well as other potential issues they may encounter during the work. I was advised of all pricing prior to the work, and was shown the issues requiring repair and after the repair. It was a comfort to know that Richards was with me on every issue. During the process, the discovery of several wasp and bee nests were discovered and removed, as well as sealing access points to have no more insect issues.

Description of Work: We had siding installed in December of 2015. At first, I was a little discouraged that we contracted with the company in October but had to wait until December for the installation. However, once the workers arrived in December, they were wonderful. Professional, impeccable work, clean-up was awesome--I was beyond happy with the way the siding was installed. |I would recommend to others!

THEY ARE VERY COURTEOUS, THEY RESPOND QUICKLY, AND THE WORKERS THEY SENT OUT WERE EXCEPTIONAL AND REALLY SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY WERE ALSO VERY NICE OVER THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED FOR THE INITIAL ESTIMATE. I'VE HAD THEM OUT TWICE AND HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB BLENDING AND MATCHING THE CARPENTRY WORK THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE/ REPAIR IN THE SOFFIT AND FASCIA.

ALTHOUGH THEIR QUOTING PROCESS SOMEWHAT BAFFLED ME IN THE BEGINNING (THEY CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE WHEN I WASN'T AWARE AND WROTE UP THE QUOTE WITHOUT SPEAKING TO ME FIRST ABOUT THE WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE), I HAVE GROWN TO REALLY ENJOY WORKING WITH RICHARD RAY AND HIS TEAM. SCHEDULING WAS A LITTLE SLOW, PRIMARILY DUE TO THE RAINY SEASON, BUT THE WORKERS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY OFTEN RECOMMEND THE LESS-EXPENSIVE COURSE OF ACTION BEFORE JUMPING TO THE MORE EXPENSIVE WORK. AS AN EXAMPLE, THEY RECOMMENDED GUTTER SCREENS ON OUR HOUSE RATHER THAN GUTTER COVERS GIVEN THE NATURE AND AMOUNT OF DEBRIS THAT GATHERS IN ONE PARTICULAR AREA. I'VE ENJOYED WORKING WITH THEM.

THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE WAS GREAT. KEVIN CAME OUT QUICKLY, WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE. THEIR BID GAVE ME VARIOUS CHOICES. KEVIN EXPLAINED THE TIME SCHEDULE FOR INSTALLING THE MATERIALS (GUTTERING WAS SEPARATE FROM LEAF GUARD) WHICH WAS VERY HELPFUL IN UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS. I'M NOT SURE IF THEIR PRICE IS GOOD OR NOT, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT TO ME TO HAVE SOMEBODY JUST COME AND DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY.
