Initially they were hard to get in touch with them, but once we did, he apologized profusely for not answering my calls. He got the job done in about two weeks. Pretty easy to work with and out of the two estimates, he was the cheaper of the two.

I was contact promptly via phone to get the details of the request, the estimate was in the mail to me with in a week. Once I accepted it the services were completed with in another two weeks. The project took one day and I never even saw the work men, just the finished product. It was a good experience and I would definitely use them again.

During a heavy spring rain storm that produced heavy wind, shingles on the front porch blew off in many areas. I called Richards Roofing, they matched the 13 year old shingles as close as possible and did an excellent job. They were responsive, did the work when promised, and even adjusted the final cost downward because job time was overestimated.

They arrived on time to do the work asked of them. The quality of their work was outstanding. I would use them in the future. I would recommend them. They were professional while they were working.

Called this company because of high recommendations on Angie's list. They were able to come out and look at my problem. Seemed somewhat enigmatic at first as the inspector initially had 4 theories as to why the water was coming in the house (sliding glass door leaky, ledger board not flashed, bolts holding the deck on had problems, a possible hole behind the siding, etc). I had already established that the main problem appeared to be lack of flashing on the deck as when I poured water over the ledger board, water came into the basement windows, but I was willing to hear all theories and obtain estimates on repairs. I specifically asked for an estimate to fix the deck problem with flashing, but also to do some additional work (installing some additional flashing above 2 windows and 2 doors). The good news is that they were able to negotiate with my deck builder to get that company to pay for the deck flashing repairs so I had to pay nothing for that part. Another crew arrived after the estimator left to access the situation. They agreed that they could do the work easily (deck flashing) and that it was the likely cause of my problem. They did say that there would be no way to tell if that was indeed the only problem, which would require taking down all the siding on that side of the house (a huge job). I told them that we would start with the deck flashing and work up if that did not solve the problem. After the crew left, I heard nothing. No phone call, nothing in the mail, until 2 weeks later I received 2 contracts. One was for the deck flashing installation ( $500 dollars), and the other was to take down and re-side the entire side of the house ( $15,000). I did not get an itemized estimate on what I had requested (flashing 2 additional doors and windows). I mailed in a signed copy of the $500 contract and again, did not hear anything back for 2 weeks. I called and was told that because of weather, crews were being delayed, but that they could get to my job in 2 more weeks. I said no problem and to call me before they came so that I could arrange to be at home. Four weeks went by before the crew arrived, unannounced, while I was at work. Having said all that, the work appears flawless and they replaced several panels that had been broken in the process of trying to figure out the problem.

They did a very good job and completed the job very quickly after I paid the deposit. They had one follow up / touch up item and even that was done quickly. They definitely have my business in the future.

The work was completed professionally, quickly and efficiently.

I called for an estimate on a Friday, and received a very detailed, printed estimate and informational folder by the following Monday afternoon. Phone calls were always promptly returned and they were willing to answer all my questions and bring color samples of shingles to my house. The morning after the majority of my roof was completed, one of the owners of Richards Roofing called to tell me of a problem primarily caused by a mix-up with the supplier. He explained my options and then bent over backwards to ensure that I was fully satisfied. I was very pleased with the upfront and prompt response of the company, their willingness to assume responsibility for an error and desire to ensure that I was satisfied with the completed job.

They did a great job. It cost much less than we anticipated we would need to spend. In fact, we later contacted them for a different problem and they made some adjustments free of charge.

Kevin Filpatrick came out one morning to look at my leaks and then got up on the roof to diagnose the cause of the leaks. He said he'd mail out the bid but told me in person the likely amount. I received the bid in a couple of days and it was the same amount. I faxed in my confirmation and they showed up within one week and fixed my roof! He indicated they would bill by mail.

The replacement went very well and I felt the price was fair. Again, they came when they said and were very good in keeping in communication with me throughout the job.

No one else could find the leak but he found it right away.

I've used Richards before and am always satisfied with their work and will definitely use them again. Everyone in the company from the front office personnel to the last roofer on the job is pleasant and easy to work with. They arrive on time, do their work as quietly as can be expected from roofers tearing off a roof and replacing it, and clean the entire area up when they are finished. Kevin is the contact man and he's just great. What more can you ask for?

They were quick in coming out and assessing the work but it took them a while to come out and actually start the job. They also came unannounced to begin the work. We had no idea they were here. They did great work but they need to be more communicative and prompt.

Excellent. The company's representative was Kevin who was on top of it from start to finish. He kept us informed every step of the way. There was significant damage behind the existing siding that was discovered immediately. The work crew stopped work and contacted Kevin, who called me right away! We discussed what options were available and how they would effect the overall job. Kevin and I agreed upon a strategy to resolve the problem, fix the damage, and maintain the integrity of the room without major reconstruction. The workmen were back on the job with a couple of days and finished the job to our satisfaction. The workmen were clean, friendly, and eager to please. We are very pleased with the job from start to finish. Especially the efforts at communication they made.

Given our naivet about roofs, the entire process went quite smoothly. Within a few days of our initial call, Dave Eberle had inspected the existing roof and sent us a detailed bid accompanied by helpful advice about evaluating proposals (e.g., insurance, sub-contracting); he even visited again to check whether the more expensive ridge vents were appropriate for our roof (he decided they weren't). Once we'd chosen this company from the three who'd provided bids, the staff were helpful with selecting shingle style and color and scheduling the work. We had our chimney replaced (by another company) at the same time, and Richards Roofing was very accommodating: Timing of the chimney work was unpredictable, but Richards was able to start the roof within two days of the chimney's completion (it helped that the work was tentatively scheduled nearly 2 months before actually being done). They also told us what sort of disruption to expect and how to prepare, and clean-up was thorough.

Job was performed promptly, per estimate. Quality was good, supervision was good. Overall job was good.

I was really pleased because they found some siding for me that is no longer being manufactured. I only needed to have a couple of pieces replaced. I did think it was kind of strange that the service man showed up to do the work and didn t knock on the door to introduce himself.

They came when they said they would and did exactly what they had said they would do. I liked them because they worked quickly, and also because they charged the amount that they had estimated.

They did an excellent job. They were extremely customer service oriented. They are a very professional company and they did the job quickly. Their pricing was very competitive over other companies we had checked into.

The man from Richard's was very nice. He arrived on time and was very experienced, having the job done in record time. Everything went smoothly and I could not have been more pleased, although the price was a bit high.

I am extremely happy with their response time and how quickly he got back to me with the estimate. I think I would definitely use him for the repairs. He was professional and very polite to me when he came out.

After we received the estimate from Richards Roofing, we sent in the deposit and less than a week later our roof was fixed. It was nice that we didn't have to be home and also nice that there was no mess left behind. In fact, we couldn't even tell they were here, besides that our roof was fixed.

I had to call him three times just to get the estimate. I asked for two bids one for roofing and other for a flashing job on the chimney. When they called me back with the bid, all they gave me was the re flashing estimate. I never received a phone call back when asked about the new roofing estimate.

They were prompt in coming to give me an estimate. In addition, of the 3 estimates I received, they were the only one to give me a complete estimate of everything I asked for the first time around. They were prompt, friendly and communicated well with me throughout the process. I am VERY pleased with the workmanship and the attention to detail in both the roofing and the cleanup after each step in the process.
