At 8 pm on a Friday evening one of my garage doors decided it did not want to stay down. I called Overhead door, expecting to have to leave a message. Surprise! I actually talked to a real person who offered the option of emergency service on the weekend (which I decided was too expensive for something that could wait a few days since I could manually close the door) - or I could have a Monday morning appointment, which I gratefully accepted. The technician called prior to coming on Monday morning within the allotted time slot, fixed the problem promptly, and then inspected and serviced both garage doors. He explained the problem to me and what he did to fix it. The tech (Randy) was courteous and efficient. The door now works properly.

The installer really knew the product and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right the first time. He installed safety cables on all the longitudinal springs (which were not there from the original late 1980's installation). The new rollers and belt drive system are amazingly quiet. I can't say enough about such a positive experience from start to finish. I wish all companies/products were this worth it.

I called on 3/13/15 at 3:30 p.m. and booked a service tech to come to our house and repair a broken spring to our garage door.They set an appointment at a time window of between 12 noon and 4 p.m. on 3/14/15. It was very important to get repaired as wehave 4 children off of school because of Spring Break. I work weekends at my business and my wife had a full day of runningerrands. My wife made arrangements to be home to cover the hours of 12 p.m. -2:30 p.m., and I had to cut my day short at mybusiness and I rushed home to cover the remaining time till 4 p.m.. At 4:15 p.m. I called Overhead to find out where the repairman was.....I was on their answering service for ten minutes and was cutoff and hung up on. I called back and was told that Bob was running late. I had already made reservations at a restaurant for my mom's birthday. I gave up hours of my life , that I will never get back ! It was a beautiful day out, my dog never got his usual daily walk, when I get home and most importantly ........my garage is still broken. Shame on you!!! Overhead door company for ; overbooking your service department, wasting my time, making an appointment that you could not keep, that prevented another door repair company from the business. Not valuing your customer enough to pick up the phone and calling. I had used your company for years and years and most importantly, I always try to use a company that is close by.....Overhead Door is within 2 minutes drive of my home. I will never use your service in the future and I will go out of my way to let others know HOW LITTLE YOU VALUE PAST CUSTOMERS AND REPEAT BUSINESS !!!! It is so much easier to keep customers, than to try and develop new ones.

I chose Overhead door company initially based on Angie's List reviews. Other garage door companies I had received fliers/coupons in the mail for had some reviews of pushy salesman. I found the overhead door company easy to do business with and no gimmicks. I called on a Friday night when our garage door wouldn't function. This garage door motor had issues for the past 12 months however I was holding off replacing it until absolutely needed. The Overhead door company had someone out to our house the next night. Randy was our technician and we were his last stop for the evening around 8pm. Even though it was past 8pm and 10 degrees outside Randy was very professional and helpful. After diagnosing our current garage door as 19 years old and on the fritz, we scheduled a time to have a new garage door motor/opener installed the following Saturday. I want to point out that it was offered to do the work sooner, however we had to work around my family's busy schedule and my work schedule. I would definitely recommend overhead door company to others.

I finally was fed up with my door not working properly, so I called Overhead Door just to see if I could get an estimate. After a little bit of jostling around on the phone, which was partially my fault for not properly verbalizing my needs, I was finally connected to a lady that offered me a couple options. When I hung up, I tried a quick fix that she suggested. It didn't work, so I called back about 5 minutes later, around noon. She immediately scheduled a repair man to come out THAT AFTERNOON! Zach arrived around 3:30. I explained my issue with the door not closing evenly when it finally would shut. I also sheepishly showed him my amateur attempt at insulating the door. He was working for roughly 45 minutes to an hour. Once he was done, he knocked on the kitchen door to let me know. The first thing I saw was that he fixed the insulation: I laughed at myself because I didn't even notice the door opener being fixed. He then explained to me that he had to basically tear apart the whole opener to get to the culprit. He also lubricated the rollers on both doors just because they would eventually need it. Zach went above and beyond, was friendly, professional, and fixed everything to where it was done right instead of just "making it work." I would highly recommend Overhead Door and Zach.

Updated 2/13/15 - Service Manager Dan called me this week to discuss the review I left. He showed concern for the way the service had been handled, explained further details about the 1/2 v 3/4 HP opener and offered to refund my $79 for the service call. I did find a much less expensive option and still did not have the service performed by this company, but I do appreciate Dan's attempt to gather more information and the offer to make it right on the service fee. Bob showed up and asked me what the problem was. I explained that the door had gone up partway and then stopped, while the opener just hummed. I told him I had to unplug the opener to get it to stop. Bob said he would take a look and then work up a quote for me. I did tell him if it had to be replaced I wanted a couple different options. Bob never even plugged the opener in, never took the cover off to see what was wrong, and then gave me a quote for $1200 to replace 2 openers. Even though my current 1/2 HP motors lasted 20 years Bob told me I needed a 3/4 HP and that he didn't even carry the 1/2 HP on his truck and they were junk anyway. When I told Bob I would need to think about it, he charged me $79 for a 'service' call. Since he didn't do any work, just provided an estimate I was shocked, but reluctantly paid. I will NOT be using Overhead Door for this service work.

They came out and did everything they said they would do. Everything works fine. I am very happy with it. They were here for about two and a half hours. They came out when they said they would. They worked quickly.

Everything from start to finish went well. Made call in the morning. Phone was answered quickly and appointment was able to be made same day. When the technician arrived, they completed a thorough review, identified the problem and fixed quickly. Technician was also friendly, called 20 minutes ahead to let me know they were on their way and answered all of my questions.

I have always had good service from Overhead Door Company and they did not disappoint! Called on a Saturday morning and they had an appointment for 130pm and technician arrived right on-time! Serviced my garage door and was pleasant to work with. Highly recommend!

The installer completed the job quickly in approximately 3.5 hours. The door replacement included new tracks, dual springs, trim, a new garage door and removal of the old door/track. I've had Overhead door out in the past and will continue to use them in the future - top notch company.

I called Overhead Garage Door Co. based on their high rating on Angie's List & was not disappointed! We scheduled an appointment for the next day, within a three hour time window. The repairman called ahead to let me know he was on the way. Although only one spring was broken, he suggested we replace both springs. He offered me a more heavy duty set of springs for the same price quoted for standard springs, which I agreed to. He replaced the springs, adjusted the rollers & gave the garage door a general "tune-up". He was quick, efficient & very courteous. The garage door works great and is as quiet as it was when first installed. I will definite call Overhead Garage Door for future repairs and general maintenance of our garage door.

Very nice people when I called to make apptmnt. The technician arrived even earlier than expected which was good for me. Diagnosed problem and gave me an estimate within 5 minutes and got to work. Finished job in about an hour give or take. Did extras like lubricate and tighten chain; also gave me some tips about maintenance which are always good. Very courteous, professional and timely. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend and use again.

After calling this am the technician arrived at 4pm as expected. Explained what his plan was to fix everything and promptly completed the repairs. He was very professional, friendly, and informative.

Several weeks ago we called for emergency garage door repair! Gary came the next day repaired the door and explained and showed us why the door was breaking. We decided it was unsafe so Gary left info and prices for several new doors. At that time he also measured the door so all we had to do is call when we wanted to order a new door. This morning Daniel came to install the door we ordered. He was prompt and knowledgeable. The install went smoothly. Daniel removed all trash and swept up when finished. Dealing with this company has been free of stress! They come when they say and do what they say!! I will definitely use them again for any future needs.

They were quick and affordable. They made it very painless.

On Sunday night I tried to open my garage door, but it would not open. I called Overhead Door at 7:00 on Monday morning. They offered a first available time for repair that morning, but I wasn't available until the afternoon (the noon to 4 time slot). The repairman came at about 1:00. Both of the springs on my door were broken and he identified a crack on my door. Factoring the cost of new springs, the crack and age of the door, we decided to go ahead and replace the whole thing. In the mean time, he did a temporary repair of the springs so that our current door will work until the new one can be installed.

They put in my new garage door after another company pinned the side walls of the garage to keep them from falling, and my garage door won't work half the time because they didn't' tell me it wasn't going to work with my garage. It works less in the winter. They said I needed a retainer, and I didn't know, and they wouldn't come and fix it. It's just one person that's putting me out. He came out when I wanted an installation. He is the main person that came out. Sales person told him what I wanted. He is the one I have a disagreement with. He didn't' do it right. He was the one that said when it was installed "oh, you didn't get the door with the retainer". I wanted to shout at him. The people who worked on the door were great, its the person who came out. I guess he could be the staff for the door. The workers were great. When he first came out, and told him we would buy the door from him, he was great, easy to talk to and everything. He would come down to check how we liked the door, I said, "do you see the problem?" He said, "well you know I told you about the retainer." I was so disgusted at the time because I could just see that cold air comes through my door and I can see the cracks. I have been terribly displeased wit the doors. Well, I had so much money to spend on the door, and I didn't have any more money to come down and do something else. I don't know if I can put a retainer before this winter, and I haven't spoken with anybody. I don't know who I should go talk to someone about it before winter sets in.

Great experience! Made an appointment Sunday evening online and they came out Monday morning! The technician was very professional, brought other issues to my attention and also fixed them! I will be definitely using them in the future.

Normally when we schedule any kind of service with any other company, we are at the end of the four hour window. This time, we were at the front end. The technician was courteous, professional, and obviously knew what he was doing. The repair tasks were completed in just under an hour. The situation started at 4:30 PM on a Thursday, and was resolved by 10:00 AM on Friday. Service doesn't get any better than this. We will use this company again, and recommend them to others.

The salesman, Mark Wegman was very professional and kind. He was right on time and explained everything. Two days later the installers came out and wasted no time in taking the old door and opener down and getting new equipment in. The door looks great and the new opener operates very quiet. I love my new door and opener. They did a fantastic job...even cleaned up the garage floor and left no debris behind. The guys very very nice and polite.

They're excellent, they're high quality providers, they're reliable, I wouldn't use anybody else. They know what they're doing, they don't over sell you, they're very responsive if you have a problem.

Garage door was off the track and pretty bent up. It must have gotten caught on something because the opener was ripped off the door. I figured I was looking at a new garage door. Zach came to my house within 2 hours and was able to not only get the door back on the track but also bend it back into shape, added a support piece, reattached the garage door opener to the door and adjusted the springs. My garage door hasn't been this quiet and smooth in 5 years!!!
