Description of Work: Our garage door has given us many problems over the past few years and we always call Overhead Door. They are very responsive and professional. Today, my garage door would not close properly, it kept popping open. I was about to walk into the house and call Overhead Door when, lo and behold, I saw their truck parked at my neighbor's house! I spoke with Jerry (who had been at my house previously) and he kindly came over to my house after he finished the work at my neighbor's house. He resolved the problem quickly (apparently it was a minor issue- something just needed tightening) and he did not charge me for his time and expertise. Such a well-run company. They are my "go-to" guys for all garage issues!

Description of Work: We had a broken spring. Phil arrived on time. explained my options,replace both springs or just one. He replaced the springs quickly checked and adjusted door for correct operation, and gave me some pointers on door maintenance. A local company 5 blocks from my house missed their appointment, claimed it was for a different day and then did not get back to us in what I felt was a timely manner (5 hrs) to reschedule. Called Overhead Door at 4:45pm, located at least 30 miles from me, they were here first thing the next morning. The price was a little less than the phone estimate. Couldn't ask for better.

Description of Work: I was sitting in my kitchen and heard a loud crashing noise in my garage. Upon investigation, I discovered a broken spring. I called Overhead Door and they were here in under 45 minutes and fixed evefything!

They are great - from the time you place the phone call to the time they come out. They're flexible and courteous. The workers are very nice. I've used them overall for about 10 years and won't go anywhere else.

Description of Work: Wanted me to replace the torsion spring that wasn't broken too for an additional hundred. Passed on that. Fixed the one that was broken. Asked him when he was done if he adjusted auto/emergency reserve function he said he did but didnt demonstrate that before he left. Felt a little uneasy about the spring that wasn't broken when he left. Wonder when/if it will miraculously break soon. We will see what happens.

Description of Work: One of the steel cables came loose from my garage door because the spring had lost tension over the years. The technician adjusted the spring, reattached the cable, and advised me of a couple of other issues that may need addressing in the future. When he was on his way to my house, he called to let me know he was coming (which I really appreciate). He was very courteous and helpful. I would definitely use this company when I need service or a new garage door.
