Came out same day as I called quickly repaired my electric garage door. He found a switch that was out of adjustment and fixed it as well as replaced a striped screw. The only complaint I have is that the price was different that the estimate I was given over the phone. When I asked about an estimate over the phone I was told about $80 if it was a simple adjustment. The bill was $ 108. I called and asked and was told that it is $88 for first 20 minuets.

Everything went great. OHDC arrived on time. I was given an 8-12 window, but we were the first call which was better for us, and he arrived at 8am. The repair took approximately one hour. The door works well now, and we are pleased with the results. Of course, first and foremost, the door now closes without having to override the sensors at the main control panel. Secondly, because he lubricated everything, it runs much more quietly now, a great added bonus. I forgot to mention the 5% off coupon I saw on Angie's List, and when I called their service department, they cheerfully said they would fix the total amount of the bill before submitting the final amount to the credit card. Overall, we were very pleased with the service.

I called at 9 something a.m. and he showed up within the hour. He was courteous and friendly, saw the problem and went right to work. What had been a balky door at best now runs perfectly.

The salesman came on Saturday morning to give me an estimate. He was on time and professional. I got three estimates; his was right in the middle. I called him with questions before I made a final decision. He returned my calls and patiently answered my questions. I considered a more expensive opener AND more insulation on the garage door. He reassured me that neither was necessary, and helped me keep price down. After scheduling installation, the installer called later to tell me when he would be at my home. They cleaned up everything and hauled everything away. I had a slight problem with the new door, as my screen door to my kitchen hit the new track when I opened it. The new opener was a little noisier at startup than anticipated. A service man came out the next day and remedied both problems. They did a great job. Only surprise, Salesman did NOT return my call when I called about these minor problems. Installation department was very responsive. I am very pleased!

They were very good about responding to my call. They showed up on time and had everything with them they needed to do the repair. They wasted no time at all getting this done, as they were in and out in no time. They have a very professional, positive attitude.

Their emergency number operator was helpful. They were able to come out in two days, replace the door, fix the damaged track and and provided advice on keeping the door in working order. Jim Gould was the gentlemen they sent, he was very professional and helpful.

They have Saturday hours, the service person arrived within the window of time, the work was done well and thoroughly. I would hire them again. I do have one suggestion for them, though. I was close by and available to the tech the entire time, he did not ask before replacing the rollers nor did he show me the old rollers. I was surprised that neither of these steps were taken. I don't doubt the doors needed them, as I just bought the house and little in the home was well maintained. But, I should have been asked before the work was done. The cost of all the parts was over $50.

The project went very well. They arrived on time for the appointment, gave me a verbal estimate based on the design and options I wanted, and followed up with a written estimate a few days later. The garage door was installed on the appointed day at the estimate price with no additional charges. The quality of the door is great.

Received same day service. Technician called prior to arrival and performed all work in a competent, professional manner. He explained everything he was doing and recommended preventative maintenance. Door and opener now operate whisper quiet. Excellent company to do business with and repair service charges are reasonable.

The 2 guys showed up promptly at 8am and worked solid until the job was done. They did an excellent job and made sure everything worked properly before leaving. They cleaned up everything and hauled off the old door. The price might have been a little more than others, but the workmanship lived up to the reputation.

The service person came to check out the situation, which I was expecting to be one that the recommendation was to replace my door. Instead, he recommended that the struts be added and adjustments be made. I was not home, but my wife was, whom is not a handy person. He was able to explain the situation to my wife such that she understood it. My wife was very comfortable with the service person because of his friendliness and the way he explained the situation to her. Overall work was done in less than an hour. The appointment was setup only earlier that day (called mid morning, arrived mid-afternoon), so response was outstanding. Great job!

Customer Service was great. Responded to my earlier night call early in the morning. I thought this type of response was fantastic. The job was performed to our satisfaction. One big surprise in the bill was $61 truck and tool charge. This wasn't communicated to us when setting up appointment. Overall the job done was great!

Repairman called when the garage door would not open. They came out later the same day, after I assured them that there was no emergency. He replaced my opener, which we agreed could no longer be repaired, and repaired the door itself to the point where it would operate for us. He then called in an order for a new garage door and was able to give me a date (about two weeks) when it would arrive. Before leaving, he demonstrated how to operate the new opener. The company called me when they received our new door and arranged to install it that same week. The work was completed quickly and was very well done.

Estimator came. Looked at situation and said we would need new opener. Did not choose to have work done at this time.

They arrived gave a bid. Told me I needed electrical in garage. Had electrician come out. Called them back and they sent an installer out. The garage door opener works great. Very happy with these people.

I contacted the company because the garage door would not open. Since I called on Sunday there would have been a much higher price if they had come that day. I was able to wait until Monday for the repairman to arrive. He was professional and punctual and replaced both garage door springs. The next day the garage door would not close. A different person came out to fix that. It turned out to be a minor adjustment.

I was very satisfied with the job the individual performed.

The sales representative did a thorough job inspecting and evaluating our existing door, including finding areas the previous owner had jury-rigged to work. We chose them because of the sale representative and price. They were within $50 of another competitor. The work was completed in one day without any major issues. The only minor complaint was the opener did not include the 75 W light bulb. They wanted to reuse our old one, which had burned out, so we had to replace it after they had left.

My garage door (an old wooden door) had stopped working reliably and would no longer close. Overhead Door was able to send a repairman out the same day for a service call. Due to the age of the door, I expected that a replacement door was in order. The repairman was able to diagnose the problem as a bent screw-drive mechanism in the old opener caused by a broken pulley in the door mechanism. A new chain drive unit was installed in a little over an hour.

The garage presented a problem because of the location of the chimney inside the garage. They did an excellent job of working around that. The work was done quickly. I am very satisfied.

I have a new home, but it's 13 years old, and I'm now finding all of the things that do not work well. You had to be right on top of the door for the remote to work and even changed batteries, and the door was extremely noisy. There was no keyless entry. I checked the list and called Overhead in the morning, and they came out the same afternoon. I was just going to get keyless entry and new remotes but decided on an entire system. In about 1 1/2 hours, the new system was installed and working well. I love it! Overhead has a great reputation without checking Angie's List. They do good work and are very neat. The installer did an excellent job cleaning up, and he thoroughly instructed me on the doors operation and features.

The technician was on time and polite. He replaced a plastic worm gear kit that had worn in the garage door opener. He also adjusted the tension on it and lubricated the door springs and tightened bolts. (A preventive maintenance thing). A bit pricey for my taste, but a very dependable company.
