They are wonderful. When you talk them on the phone you get serviced. They come on time and do a good job. They are very polite. We highly recommend them.

I would use this company again, because in my opinion, they "did the right thing". When I explained the problem to the repairman, he advised that his company doesn't allow personnel to work on electrical - only the opener and garage door. He advised me to contact an electrician and apologized that he would have to charge me a $58 service fee for the call. I replied that the dispatcher knew the nature of the problem (I had told her when scheduling the appointment) and should not have scheduled an appointment if she knew the company's policy. Since no service had been performed and the visit was so short, I did not feel a service fee was due and told the repairman so. I also told him that I'm an active member of Angie's List and would be posting about my repair experience. The repairman contacted his manager and was permitted to waive the service fee. So I want to applaud Overhead Door for doing the right thing, and also applaud Angie's List for giving me extra clout as a consumer!

I called and was able to talk to a knowledgable person right away. They scheduled a salesman to come out at my convenience. He was on time and was able to answer my questions as well as gather all the information needed to estimate and schedule installation. He even gave me figures for items which qualified for the 2009 federal energy tax credit. They had the door in stock and were able to install it the very next day. The installer cleaned up and left the garage looking good. The door seems to be perfectly aligned and opens and shuts quietly. The installer explained how it all worked and how to troubleshoot any common problems. I'm very satisifed with the job and the company.

Job was done in a professional manner and looks neat. Door operates smoothly.

I would call them only if there was an emergency. The price was a little high, but they definitely got it done quickly and accurately. They are also very close to where we live.

I really liked the guy that came out, and he was very good and did a good job. He came out promptly - he was definitely there within 24 hours. I called them at night and they called me at 7 in the morning. They were able to schedule that day, and he came in within the two-hour window that they gave me. He was very professional and at the same time was friendly, and knew what he was doing. It was a hot day and it ended up being more of a job than we had initially thought. It wasn?t anything to do with him; instead, it had to do with our old door. He repaired it and gave me some tips on how to maintain it, so that I wouldn?t have to buy a new door. Garage doors are ridiculously expensive and a new door would have actually cost me $1500.

He was very polite and dignified. He told me that I would have to get a new door and also told me what it would cost. He also showed me what was available with them. The door was working better than it was before. He was very punctual and I was happy with him. His price was fair and knew what he was talking about.

Great experience. The sales rep was punctual and cordial, and his price was reasonable. He was the first contractor to visit the house, and I signed right then and there, which is unheard of for me. The sales guy was out on Tuesday evening, and my door was installed when I came home on Thursday. It's been 3 months, and it looks and operates great.

When the installer arrived and installed the second door it was for the wrong door. The salesman ordered the wrong one. It was not the door I had ordered. I tried to reach the salesman 3 times and he never called me back. The installer was very nice and apologized. He did a good job, I let the door continue to be installed because I eventually needed to have it replaced anyway. I gave written correspondence on a follow-up questionaire from the company and was never contacted back. I still need an additional door for the original planned location. The service manager eventually did follow up with me after I left a report on Angie's List and he was extremely helpful and apologized for the situation. He sent out a service person the next day to fix remaining issues that I had on the door. And instructed me on it's usage. Mark the service manager was excellent and improved my overall experience with the company.

Nice to talk with, honest about the prices upfront, but I chose not to go with them b/c of price.

I called Overhead to get a service person out to look at my garage door. They were very prompt in scheduling and I was impressed with the speed of service to my house. The service tech looked at my door and told me that I was going to need a new door because parts would be impossible to find for my old door. I asked to get an estimate for a new door and he was very nice to handle the request. The only negative part of the experience was that when I called for the service request, I was told it was one fee and then charged another when given the bill.

The salesperson came to look at the broken door and gave us an estimate. Reminded us of an energy tax credit available for 2009 if we chose an insulated door. He made an appointment for the installer to come. The installer was on time. I went to work and when I got home from work, the door was installed and works well.

It went very well- the salesman did a great job of evaluating our needs and did not try to "up sell" us the more expensive door, which was more than we needed. The installers were here two days later, everything went well.

The job I hired Overhead Door Company to do, took a lot longer than expected. I had a few issues with the professionalism of the serviceman, so I called the supervisor. The serviceman made a few bad comments about another company, which I thought was unprofessional. The supervisor did satisfy me by reducing the price. I orignally thought I called a different company, so when they showed up, it was a little unexpected. I am not sure if I would use them again in the future.

They were on time and would have came out for an emergency but I could wait. He needed parts that he didn't have with him and they had a roving parts truck bring the part right out to him. I was willing to purchace a new door but they explained to me that the railing was all that needed to be fixed.

The installer arrived on time. The day was very cold, but he worked very deliberately and quickly. He gave us good instructions on how to operate the door and the keypad. I offered him a warm drink or the opportunity to come inside to warm up or use the restroom, but he declined each time. He was very professional and very kind.

The overall experience was excellent. They had good service and were very prompt. I would hire them again.

The garage door would not open when I got home on Wednesday evening. I called Overhead the next morning and described the problem; they had a service truck out within several hours and their repairman gave me an estimate, repaired the door and was gone in about an hour.

Job was completed in one day like clockwork. Very satisfied with the work performed.

Our garage door opener stopped working. They came out and told us it was a $200 repair, so we paid extra to get a brand new one. They had been to our house a few weeks earlier for annual maintenance, so they did not charge us for initial service call.

We are very happy with the end result. The salesman was professional, the service/install was excellent and the doors look great.

Service man was prompt (8:30 am so I could get to work on time) and worked fast. The garage door was stuck on a nut, which was fixed with a few hammer taps. Then he lubricated the garage door and adjusted it.

Our garage door had trouble closing. Call Overhead Door of St. Louis and they were able to come out the next day. They found the door and the photocells were out of adjustment. They adjusted the door and performed routine maintenance and lubrication. The door now runs more smoothly than ever before. Very professional service and extremely quick response.

Our sales rep and installer were very professional and personable. The installer dis-assembled our old door, track and spring and hauled it away. The installation went very well and the installer fully explained the operation of the openers as well as any other things we needed to know. We would recommend this company to anyone.
