Overhead Door Company of St Louis™

I called regarding a malfunctioning garage door opener. Overhead Door was prompt in keeping their appointment. I was told the control board (?) was bad, which isn't surprising in a 20 year old opener. They told me the repair cost ($220). Again, about what I was expecting based on repairs performed by other repair companies over the course of the past 20 years for miscellaneous problems. They offered a new opener for $350 + tax. With my Angie's List 5% off coupon, the total cost was $361.00. It's a quiet, efficient door opener and I couldn't be happier! The workmen were prompt, professional, and courteous.

They repaired the spring and pointed out that the opener was on it's last days (which it was) and then they replaced that the next day. The new opener is much quieter and I love the keypad entry. Work was performed in a timely manner and they showed up during when they promised to arrive.

We are very pleased by the look of the door and the quality of the installer. My only regret is i did not check for the 5% coupon.

The springs on our garage door broke and they were here the next day to fix it. They replaced the springs on the door which was the problem they were called for. They also checked over the entire garage door and replaced some the the rollers that were going bad. Our garage door has never worked better.

As a property manager for residential homes I am always looking for efficient ways to handle issues that arise. After spending hours on the internet trying to solve an issue of missing remotes for a garage door opener that was close to 40 years old with no real answer from any source, I broke down and decided to contact a company that might know better, I made a few calls with not much help or vague ideas and then I decided to stop by the Overhead Door office in Maryland Heights. A guy named Clint Stout listened to my problem, gave me a few possible solutions, told me the most efficient way to handle it, and got me the materials I needed. He took two calls from me with questions while I installed myself as he said I could. Incredibly polite and helpful. I may have been able to find the parts for a few buck cheaper online but the time I saved, the fact they had the products on hand, and the help I received made up for it 10 times over. I will not hesitate to go straight to them in the future. I could not be more impressed with their service and knowledge.

I have used this company for years and they always do a good job. He came soon after I called. I was happy that he could do the work on a Saturday since I work during the week. He performed the routine maintenance one Saturday and the weather was installed the following Saturday. He showed up on time and was very efficient.

Very quick response to inquiry through Angie's List. Provided competitive pricing to upgrade to an insulated door. The installation went very smooth. The door quality is superior to other I have seen. It is steel both inside and out with no exposed insulation. They hooked up my garage door opener and even adjusted it to be much quieter. They hauled the old door away and cleaned up their mess. Took about 4 hours start to finish.

The service itself was great. Serviceman arrived when expected and called ahead. Appoitment had been easy enough to make online. Once he arrived and introduced himself, he went straight to work, assessed the situation and provided me with my options. He was very detailed in his quotes, offered various options for me to choose from and was thorough and efficient in his work and cleaned up afterwards. Very pleasant and courteous. HIs quote was accurate and I was charged what i was quoted. He took less than an hour to get everything done. Would definitely use them again.

I have owned four houses in my 35 + years in the St. Louis area and all four houses have been equipped with an overhead door by the Overhead Door Company. Their products are excellent and I have only needed a service call on one occasion. With this type of experience, naturally the first and only garage door company I researched was Overhead Door. I was delighted, but not really surprised, to see the company's A & A+ ratings on Angie's List and The BBB. The number of years the Overhead Door Company has been serving St. Louis customers speaks volumes for their commentment to customer service. My first contact was with Brian Nagy, Residential Manager. Brian articulately discribed the product in which I was interested in a polite, professional and extremely knowledge manner. He answered all my questions, which were many, and we agreed upon a fair price so I placed my order for delivery in 2 days. It was very nice not having to wait for a week or two for delivery. Two days later, my installer, Mark Gantner arrived at 7:30am and got right to work replacing my garage door. The complete job was done in 3 hrs. exactly, the cleanup was complete, and Mark answered my questions concerning the operation and warranty. Mark was also a valuable representative of his company as he was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. After my job was completed, Brian Nagy e-mailed me and thanked me for my business and invited me to contact him if I had any questions in the future. Now that's excellent customer service!

..The sales person who took the measurements was courteous and professional. My garage door was a custom order that took about a month to manufacture. It was difficult to get a phone response from my salesperson. I finally had to call the company to set up an installation date. The individual who did the installation provided assurance and instilled confidence in the job he was doing and he delivered 100%. Good guy! The door itself is insulated, looks great, and is installed perfectly. The only down in the experience was the difficulty in communicating with my salesman, but even that wasn't the end of the world. Overall this was a great experience and I'm very very satisfied with the job. I would recommend Overhead Door to anyone!

The night before I got a text from my mother that while watching my kids the garage door broke! Got home, a sproket (term used by the repair guy) was in the driveway and the chain was hanging down. FInding their reviews and grade in Angie's list I made an appointment in the morning through their website. The gentleman showed up in the hours I requested and fixed it while my kids "helped" and he was so great and tolerable with them and fixing and explaining everything they needed to be done. He also tightened the spring and made sure the safety precautions were set to a good rate for kids with the door closing catching in time if they get in the way. He also mentioned about an additional item for future reference to keep in mind but he did such an amazing job, I asked if he could take care of it now and he did! AMAZING!!! I will definitely tell everyone and return if anything else happens.

Overhead Door was very professional. It was a hassle free experience. The technicians came out and completed the work and there were no problems.

I set the appointment on-line but then had to call to change it. The on-line part worked fine and the person with who I talked to change the appointment was very professional and courteous and changed the appointment without a problem. The tech called about 30 minutes before the scheduled time and arrived promptly. He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing as he worked on the door. He carefully explained why the heavy duty rollers with neoprene are recommended and explained the differnce in cost between the various roller options. The work was done quickly, professionally and neatly. The door is now so quiet when it is raised and lowered that it hardly makes any noise. I have used Overhead Door several times in the past for repair work including replacing springs and will do so again. I highly recommend Overhead Door.

Made a Saturday appointment online. Tech called 15 min before appointment to confirm. Garage door was loud and having difficulty closing. Tech inspected door and system, then showed me the door hinges, pulleys, and rollers should be lubed at least 1/yr. The PM did the job and the door now works great!

My garage door was having trouble going up and down, it finally got stuck open thank goodness because I could still get my car out. But when I called Overhead door company they came out the same day. The technician was very nice and could find nothing wrong with the door or the opener except that it needed maintenance that hadn't been done since the door was installed, I had no idea it needed maintenance. The nice young man put a reminder sticker on my door to remind me when I should do the next maintenance to keep the door operating right.

Later in the week, I did receive a response from Angie's List. Telling me to use the one I purchased at Home Depot. Also, My neighbor, called Overhead Doors to see about repairs needed on her garage door and was not charged a service call fee.

I called and they came the same day. They gave me a 4 hour window which was not very convenient since I work all day, but they offered to come the next day if I couldn't be there at the time that they showed up. he called 20-30- minutes before coming to our home. The man who came ( I wish I could remember his name) was very polite and efficient. he seemed to know what he was doing and appeared to be honest. I felt as if he went out of his way to provide us with satisfaction for the work that he was doing.

Better since my talk with one of the managers today when he called to follow up on this experience.

The spring on our garage door suddenly broke mid-morning (bad news because the door can't operate without it). I called Overhead Door and they took care of the problem that afternoon! Great service by Alan; will definitely use them again!!

I was not there when they installed they motor. My renter was there and kept me updated and they were very happy. The price seemed a little high but the service was very good and I know they will stand by it. They were thorough and recommended future improvements which I thought may be coming to make the whole thing better.

They called ahead of time, which was important to me because I have pets. It gave me time to get them secured. They did a really great job.

Went great. Came out the day after we called for an estimate and the next day for an installation. Our Credit card was accidentally double charged for service. When we noticed, we emailed them and they quickly let us know they had found the error as well and had corrected it already. Extremely quick and professional. Would use again.

Our garage door broke and I submitted a service request last night online. This morning they called and our tech came by 10:30am. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. There was opportunity for him to push more product or services than I needed, but he didn't. It was instant trust. I am so thankful to now have a company I can say I trust and will use exclusively from now on. Thanks so much Overhead Door of St Louis. Our garage door is the quietest its ever been.
