It went great! I called and they had someone out that same afternoon, scheduled them for 5:00-8:00 which is important for me to have someone who can come after work. Anthony was totally professional, the door was fixed within 1/2 hour, and he didn't try to sell me anything else! I am very impressed with this company.

My husband owns a small construction company and we had a client call us after one of the big storms we had because his garage door was not working properly. Once we looked at it I looked up Overhead Doors on Angie's List and since they had such good reviews I gave them a call. While on the phone I made an appointment for them to come out to our clients home and let us know what they thought the problem might be. They told me of what the prices would be if certain things were found to be wrong but never mentioned a service call fee. I gave them all of our companies information for their records along with our credit card number so they could bill us for work to fix the garage door and not have to bother our client. When the gentleman came out he first did not call my husband till he was already there when I was told he would call on his way so my husband could meet him. Second, when he did call to go over things with my husband he left a message...as my husband does run a company and can't always answer right away...but when my husband called back less than 10 minutes later there was no answer and tried calling over a half dozen times that day and left messages with no answer or explanation. Needless to say nothing for done. When we finally do get a hold of someone the price they give us is no where close to the quote and 3 times higher than any other company we talked to. Then we find out through our credit card statement that we have been charged $97.50 from Overhead... For what???? When we tried calling Overhead we got no response so I called our credit card company and disputed the charge. Our credit card company called us for information and called Overhead Door to get their side and inform them of what was going on. From there the credit card company agreed the fee should not be paid and stopped payment. From here Overhead proceeded to send threatening letters and make threatening phone calls to our client...not us. After getting a hold of them hey claim they never talked to me and do not have any of our information in their system which I personally gave to them. They are scam artists and will do whatever they want to get another $1 not caring about what it takes. They are not an A company and if there was something lower than an F that is what I would give them. BEWARE!!! They are still trying to come after us for the $97.50 plus interest for which we are no having to go up the chain to fight. Save yourself the time and look ANYWHERE else!!!

I was very happy with his work and he was very nice. He explained things to me well and repaired other things I did not realize that needed repaired.

They did a great job. They came out the next day after I called them. I would recommend them.

They were able to come out quickly, arrived on time, did all work and the guy was very pleasant to deal with. Would use again.

The process started off very well, and the salesman understood my urgent desire for a quick replacement. He called his warehouse to see if there was an appropriately sized door in stock, but since there was none (and it would take 2 to 4 weeks to have one made and shipped), he suggested that a slightly smaller 16' door (always in stock) might work. I agreed, and he explained that a carpenter would need to estimate the cost for framing, and also suggested that this extra cost would be offset by the savings on a smaller door. The carpenter arrived as scheduled, and was clean, knowledgeable, and explained what work would be done. He also embraced my urgency, and said he would have his detailed plans and estimates in the hands of the salesman quickly, even saying that my job cold be moved ahead of another. Two things didn't work out, resulting in my negative remarks and taking my business elsewhere. First, the carpenter's estimate did not arrive at the salesman's desk until after a weekend had passed. It took several calls to the salesman, starting on Friday, before receiving the firm estimate. The price seemed rather high (the door was about $1000 so the framing was about $2200), and whether fair or not, it far exceeded my budget. Plus, the work could not begin for at least another week. Furthermore, instead of a one-day job, it would now be a two-day job, creating overnight security issues. I did not doubt that the work would have been done right and that the price would buy a top quality door and installation. Unfortunately, I could not afford the price, the wait, and the overnight insecurity, especially as I had compromised on the door size in order to get the job done quickly. Also, after initial contacts I felt the communication between carpenter and salesmen, and between the salesman and myself was too slow. There were enough problems going on that I could not award them the business. Although I passed with Overhead Door on this job, and found a different company who completed the job with the full-sized 18' door just two days later, I might contact them again. But I will call the other company first!

We were very, very pleased with their work. They did a good job and the technicians were bright. They even fixed the part the thing beside my poor and the ceiling of my garage and I didn't even know it was part of the service. I had a and the other company fixed it for me because I called them and they said that they'll come out and put the wire back on and they charged me for $100. I was surprised that they would charge me and that was the bad thing and that was my first bad experience with them. The installation was fine but the after part was bad. They do nothing under a $100 for anything.

I called on Tuesday, July 16 and scheduled an appointment between 8:00 am to 12 noon on Wednesday, July 17. The technician called at 9:00 am and was here within minutes. He gave me an approximate price which was very reasonable. It ended up being less expensive than he quoted. Larry was prompt, knowledgeable, and very courteous. He finished within 45 minutes. My garage door works better than before it broke. I would definitely call them again with any garage door problems.

I called Overhead Door to repair our garage door at 12:56 P.M and they were here by 2:30 P.M, garage door repaired by 3:30! Anthony was our Service Technician. Wonderful!

Called Overhead Door when one of the Garage door springs broke. Allen came out and fixed by installing new extension springs. Replace all the springs since they were probably 20+ years. Allen was very professional, honest and quickly repaired, so the garage door could be opened and closed again. i would use this company again.

One of our garage door cables and attached spring broke and we could not open the door. We called early in the morning, they sent their tech out within two hours, and the work was done in about an hour or so after that. No problems. The tech did a good job and the door works fine now. You can't ask more than that. Good service!

Bob, the technician, arrived as scheduled. He showed me what products they offered and their costs. I decided which door opener I wanted and he immediately went to work installing it. He said it would take about an hour and a half, and he finished the job close to that estimate. When he finished the job he cleaned up the garage but he suggested that I sweep the garage after he leaves to make sure that there is nothing left that could damage my tires. I am very pleased with the operation of the new opener.

The response was great, they were able to schedule the appointment for a Saturday, and arrived on time. The installer worked quickly and made the repairs in under an hour. Fair price, pleasant employees.

Price was about $20 less than I had expected. Tech was very friendly and very experienced. He did point out some real issues with my 20 year old builder grade door and made some suggestions but was not in any way pushy nor did he imply that I had to have it replaced soon. I appreciated the speed, skill, information and the price of the repair. The fact that he repaired the broken support on the door frame instead of using it to push for door replacement was a real plus. It is obvious that the rest of the door will eventually break down and when I do replace it I will call Overhead Door first.

The chain on one side of my garage door broke which required repair. I called Overhead Door and was able to get an appointment on the day I wanted at the time I wanted. Bob, the repairman, arrived earlier than scheduled which was great. He went to work and performed routine maintenance on both my garage doors, replacing rollers, and tuning up both 11 year old doors. As for the broken chain, he did not have the part on his truck but indicated that there was one in stock. However, he would have to come back so I made another appointment for the following Monday. He would not charge for another service call just parts and labor. When he arrived on Monday, the part he thought was right, wasn't. My options were to order a new part which would take 5-7 days or put a new rod and chain (boom) on which would run $30 more. I mentioned again that I was a member of Angie's List and he was able to get the price down to what the new chain would have cost. This all took less than one hour. I was extremely pleased at how the entire service call was handled and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The price was reasonable and theey did a great job. I got a new, nice lightweight garage door. They were very fast and efficient.

I went to their showroom to look over the doors they had. The sales person I spoke with was very nice and knowledgable. He set up an appointment for someone to come to my house and measure and order the door and opener. The person was prompt and quick. He explained my options and ordered what I needed. The installer came a little late but it was cold and raining that morning so he might have been waiting for the rain to let up. He got the job done efficiently and explained everything to me including what I needed to do to maintain the door and opener. I was very happy with their service. The door is not as solid and sturdy as they used to be but I guess that's just the way of the world.

It was easy to get an immediate appointment the following business day, although we thought it might not happen because it was just before Christmas. The technician was on time, made an emergency repair and gave us a good estimate for a new door and motor part which were installed within the week. He agreed that there was no need to replace 1-2 things that were still working well and did not try to upsell. We appreciated the timeliness and the honesty, and the door is still working well.

They were prompt, they were thorough, they did a great job, and they were professional. Everything was wonderful, the quality was great.

Overhead Door Co of St. Louis were excellent. They had an excellent reputation in St. Louis, so I found them to be very dependable, easy to work with, responsive, they got back to me right away and they were punctual, they came out on the day they said they would come out. I had to wait only 1 day for them to come because it was not an emergency. If it is an emergency, the come out right away.

They used top quality parts offered the best warranty (5 years, including labor) of any vendor I contacted.

However the technician was trying to sell me the new garage door of $1,100 instead of just replacing the broken spring by saying that there was a crack in the top section which could cause the garage door to collapse. Well, my observation and common sense told me that the one inch small crack is unlikely to collapse the entire garage door. So I decided there is no need for a new garage door right now. I just need the broken spring to be replaced. After the technician replaced the broken spring, he told me that the rollers also need to be replaced, otherwise they would easily slide out of the track and cause the garage door to collapse (again!). It sounded scary that the rollers would easily slide off the track causing the garage door to collapse, so I said OK to replace the rollers. As the technician was trying to pull the old rollers off the track so that he could put the new ones in, it took him quite an effort to pull the old rollers out of the track. I then realized that I could be ripped off. I didn't think those old rollers would easily slide off the track if it took him such a big effort to pull them out of the track by banging and wracking the track to get those old rollers out. Because I had the suspicion that he was trying to over sell the parts and labor that I may not need, I called their Service Department and asked in particular about the price of each roller and the labor to replace 9 rollers. The Service Department told me to replace 9 rollers would cost about $80 to $100 maximum, including parts and labor. The technician charged me $145 for replacing 9 rollers, which took him less than 30 minutes. Plus the spring replacement, it costs me $321.50 in total (instead of $175 I was quoted over the phone). So watch out for this company! Their technician was acting like a sales man trying to sell their products and services that may not be necessary. I used to like Overhead Door Company a lot, but after this experience, I would have to think again whether I want to hire them again next time.

I could not be more happy with Overhead Door Co of St. Louis. Everyone I dealt with was personable, professional, and a pleasure to do business with. Special shouts out to Sarah in scheduling, AJ who did the original temporary repair and set up for the new door and Kirk who did the actual install. Each of them went out of their way to help me and make sure I was satisfied with their work. If you need to have some work done on your garage door, look no further. This is a company that has integrity as well as an excellent product, service, and staff.

Our double garage door opener has been working poorly and getting worse lately to the point that we needed to raise and lower the door manually. I called for service - they easily set a mutually agreeable appointment for a serviceman to work on it. The worker called ahead and showed up as planned. He serviced the door mechanics and let us know the our opener could be repaired, but that it was old and repair may not be the best solution. We went with his recommendation to replace the unit. We believe that was the best thing to do. He had everything in his truck for the job and was finished in a short time. The result is outstanding.

Their staff is always punctual, professional, courteous and knowledgable. I enjoy working with them.
