The short version is that they provided some very helpful ideas when they produced the quote, and then they did a really nice job assembling some non-standard plumbing for a radiant-heat system. Specifically: 1. A guy named Will came out to do the quote. He suggested several good ideas that made the radiant assembly simpler. He was the only plumber to suggest an electric water heater. Due to significant issues venting a gas water heater, the electric proved to be the most cost effective solution (despite the fact that a gas water heater costs somewhat more to run). Overall, the quote process helped improve the project 2. A guy named Brian came out to do the install. He read the instructions that came with the radiant components, and pre-assembled many of them off site. Although it doesn't matter that much what it looked like, when it was done it looked really professional. He used depth off the mechanical board to route the pipes cleanly, and he did a nice job routing the PEX to the board. I was very pleased. When the inspector came out later, he commented on how nice the work was. The system pressure tested to 100psi, and passed the inspection. Brian was also very helpful in answer several questions related to the radiant system. 3. They replaced my existing water heater and it has been working without issue. Brian recognized a code compliance issue with my old water heater and helped me find a fix so that all the venting is kosher. Overall, I was very pleased with how this came out, and would definitely recommend them, including for non-standard work where you need some advice or ideas.

Janice at the office was very helpful in making sure I had understood what I had purchased and if I actually needed to have that done. I said it was basically for peace of mind since our basement was flooded due to tree roots around 6 years ago and I wanted to make sure that doesn't happen again. They were on time and very professional and based on their inspection I wouldn't have to worry about the sewer line for a number of years.

Their price is reasonable. I have recommended them to everybody. All of the guys that have come out to the house to work have always been very personable and on time. They call if they are running late or call to make sure that I am going to be here. They will give me suggestions on how to fix things and what might be the best thing to do just very helpful, and very professional. They are really good about trying to work with the schedule if there is an emergency.

Will came to look at the issue. After a couple of meetings we came up with a plan and got it fixed. Will is a very professional and kind hearted gentleman. He was with me right from the beginning till the end of the work. He politely answered all my questions. They are punctual and honest in what they say they will do.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of Eric and they were able to come to my house the same day. Plumbing work is never inexpensive but their prices were in line with all the other plumbing companies I contacted. I would hire them again.

The Plummer who was assigned the job did a good and efficient job. The only problem was our appointment time did not get recorded on their appointment book and so our time was missed. When I called to see where the plumber was, they realized their error and were very apologetic. We were told he would be there in an hour, but did not arrive until quite a bit after that. It would have been better if the office had called to keep us apprised of the later arrival time. However, the job was completed to our satisfaction.

We've been using maplewood plumbing for 10 years. They have done major renovations and small jobs for us. They work is always first rate.

Another company had quoted over $2,000 to fix the broken faucet, insisting they would need to go through the walls and work on that plumbing. Maplewood Plumbing came out, disassembled the faucet, suggested I soak it in vinegar overnight to remove debris. They came back the next morning and re-installed it and it worked perfectly.

They were very professional. They did a great job.

After performing the inspection and offering to provide a bid, they did not provide the bid. I have followed up twice to try to find out what it will cost and they have not gotten back to me and keep telling me that they are very busy and will get to it when I call back.

Prompt response after Angie's List email. Measurements and quote within the next 24-48 hours. Set up the appointment for a few weeks later which coincided with some vacation days. The project took most of the day, but it was an odd one. Lots of angles, running the line behind a wall, drilling into a metal fireplace casing. The outcome is exactly what I was looking for and hope for a much more comfortable basement this next winter. They took care of the permit with the city, which was nice to not have to deal with. Service was profession and pleasant. Will call them for my next plumbing needs.

There was a problem with the cost on billing, The Owner fixed the problem. The plumber was couteous and He did a good job on install.

It went well. They arrived quickly and did exactly what I needed them too.

I was fully prepared to have the repair made. I greatly appreciate Will's complete honesty and transparency. In spite of spending the better part of an hour with us, he made no attempt to "sell" me on something I had already resigned myself to do, but that he considered unnecessary. So, he saved me about $250! If I ever truly need some plumbing repair in the future, Maplewood Plumbing will be my first phone call

Maplewood repaired leak in basement on the main line. Came on time and fix a fairly complex problem quickly.

Maplewood Plumbing was recommended by Miracle Method, who was painting our bathroom. We had Will out to provide us with an estimate. We liked that they had worked with Miracle Method before, so they understood exactly what we wanted to see happen to prepare the bathroom for the painting. We decided to go ahead and set up a date for the work during the initial appointment. Maplewood Plumbing came out before Miracle Method and removed everything. They also installed a new shower kit so we could update the fixtures. This took approximately five hours to complete. After Miracle Method was finished with their part of our remodel, Maplewood Plumbing returned and installed the new vanity, toilet, shower fixtures.This took approximately three hours to complete. We would highly recommend Maplewood Plumbing. Everyone from the initial estimator, to the woman who answers their phone, to the two different installers we had, we were pleased with their work and customer service.

Will was punctual with his estimate and very sociable. Made me feel comfortable with his plan and his capabilities. The job got started on the date he told me he'd start. Once he began, he kept me informed of the what would happen next, when we'd be without flowing water (not long), when the old pipes would be hauled away by his subcontractor, etc. Since I was doing some of the finish work in rehabbing a bathroom at the same time, Will gave me pointers and offered to do some of the trickier work - at a very fair price, too. Overall, it was a breeze, mostly because the guy doing the work communicated and did the work he said when he told me he'd do it. Is that not outrageously unexpected these days? I'd have him back any time for plumbing work. And I've recommended him to some other neighbors, too.

Determined that water leak was from cracked cast iron stack. Replaced the stack. More importantly put us in contact with a contractor who repaired all of the wall damage. He was equally good.

My first use of Angie's List. Prompt, efficient, and very fair price. Maplewood also provides plumbing work for kitchen remodeling. We will use Maplewood again in the future.

A second floor toilet was leaking as evidenced by water stain on 1st floor ceiling. On the first visit to provide a quote, the plumber took the toilet apart and discovered the problem was with the pipes in between the 1st and 2nd floor. It would require cutting into the 1st floor ceiling to gain access to the pipes. On the repair visit, the plumber was able to find the pipes, repair them, and restore proper function to the toilet.

It took less time than I thought it would to complete the work. The plumber was knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem. He also proved to be fast, efficient in fixing the problem. He left the area clean and tidy with little or no mess for us to cleanup after he left.

Maplewood Plumbing are very prompt.
