This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with in my 66 years. I ordered 7 appliances from them, and they sent me two wrong ones and four that did not work. When I called and explained that the salesperson, Allissa Hamm, made several BIG errors, they did nothing. They even refused to take new appliances back. I ordered a 36 inch DCS Gas Range with a GRILL. The range cost $6,620. with the warranty. Instead of what I bought, Allissa Hamm, sent me a 36 inch DCS Range with a Griddle. I told her 50 times what I wanted and she makes a big mistake, and I am just to take it. I work very hard for my money and saved for years to remodel my kitchen and buy all new appliances. Now I am suppose to waste my money on a 24 inch gas range, with a 12 inch spoon rest. I hate this stove and want it removed from my home. If I wanted a 24 inch gas range I could have bought it locally for about $500. I used this company for my appliances, because they were listed on Angie's List. I thought that your company checked out all of their recommendations. So I placed my order with them and have over $11,000 worth of appliances that I did not order, or that do not work. Goedeker's does not take appliances back, When you get it, they consider it yours and you are stuck with it. I want something done about these crooks. I want my money back and they can have all their appliances. They told me while I was complaining about the stove that I was not to use it. So for the last three months, I have had to cook all my meals on our outdoor grill. I have fallen several times and hurt my back, and twisted my ankle. I am elderly, and I ordered the stove with the grill because I am ill, and not suppose to go outside and grill in the winter. So I ordered a range with a grill. Then these dishonest people send me something else and I am just to keep what they sent me. I want what I ordered and I expect all of the appliances to work. Please help me to get what I paid for. Also stop listing this terrible company on your website, or other families are going to get taken..

After an aggravating 6 months and the 3rd time of having our refrigerator repaired, my husband contacted Mr. Goedeker himself on June 11, 2013 to inquire if we could return the refrigerator for a credit towards a new model. The Goedeker Promise mentions Integrity, Service, and Quality all with the promise from their website that "Our products will last for many years and we'll have your back every step of the journey. We will not skimp. That's a promise ....:" My husband and I made a conscious decision to do business with Goedekers primarily because they were a local business and their so called promise. After all we were not asking for a refund, simply a credit towards purchasing another refrigerator at their store just not the model or brand we were having difficulties with. Mr. Goedeker did not honor his promise and I cannot and will not in good conscious recommend this business to anyone.
Description of Work: My husband and I bought $3600.00 worth of kitchen appliances from Goedekers in November 2012, within 6 moths of the purchase we had to have the refrigerator serviced 3 times. The company does not stand behind their so called "Goedeker Promise".

After waiting about 10 days, the refrigerator they delivered was scratched and dented. The delivery men seemed indifferent, and after several unresponsive calls to the store, they finally offered us only a $50 discount if we kept it, or to order another one. We opted for a new one. After another two weeks, they brought us another dented product. The delivery men told us they couldn't remember the last time that had happened. Again, no one at the store was available to speak with during the delivery, so we sent it back and cancelled the purchase. Worst customer service I've encountered.
Description of Work: We ordered a refrigerator from Goedeker's, as they had the lowest price.

Shopping at Goedekers was a typical experience until our fridge was delayed. After a month wait, we got a call on a Friday night saying the delivery would be ready for Saturday. Several minutes later, they called back to say there was some issue with the fridge and the salesman would call me back on Monday. He did not... and he rarely called me back when he said he would. I had to call and ask what was going on. He told me that my fridge (that I had paid for) was "snaked" by another saleman. He could not or would not tell me which one. That began another month long delay. Now, 2 months after paying, I have no appliances and no better sense of when they will be available. I have canceled my order and now feel like they are dragging their feet to get me my money back. I will never shop here again.
Description of Work: Goedeker's sold me a complete kitchen suite but failed to keep me up to date on availibility and delivery.

They did the installation of fridge. I had an annual warranty, but within 4 months I was having problems with the fridge. They came right out and said that everything was fine, but to give them a call if something else were to come up. I haven't had a problem since. ----------------------------------------------- Review updated 11/4/2014 Will not do business with this company again since they are unresponsive to my needs. I have had nothing but problems with the freezer. Repairmen have been out 4 or 5 times and nothing has happened. We no longer trust Kitchenaid and I will never buy another product from Goedeker's.

Do you actually need the appliance that you intend to purchase? Do you have job or family commitments that keeps you busy for even a few minutes a day between 8 am and 5 pm? If the answer to either of these is yes, I suggest you purchase your appliances elsewhere. Best Buy is right down the street and they do a much better job at a comparable price. Sadly it is my experience that Goedekers is incapable of either completing a job or accommodating their customers' schedules in a timely fashion. I purchased a new oven from Goedekers in May. It is now July and my oven installation is STILL not completed. The company just called to say that they had lost the measurements for a SECOND time and needed me to block out an entire day for the THIRD time to take the measurements again. Of course they still have to order the trim kit, receive it and make me block out a FOURTH day to finally complete the installation. I get the feeling I will be lucky if everything is finished by August. Scheduling and reliability are huge problems with this company. At the time of sale, Goedekers scheduled a first appointment to measure the existing wall oven cavity to make sure the oven would fit and to order the trim kit. My day was open as my kids were still in school in May. When it came time to actually install the oven, scheduling became much more problematic. For the month of June my child needed to be dropped off at camp at 9 am and picked up at noon. Not so difficult right? Just schedule me in the afternoon. Unfortunately that is not an option. You cannot request a time of day - only a day which will be scheduled at the convenience of their service men's route. You will find out the night before if it will work or not. Unless I wanted to wait until July for installation, I had to hire someone to be at my house because the they scheduled the installation during the morning which I had told them was inconvenient. Of course the installer did not arrive until the afternoon, but at least he showed up with the oven. The trim kit was missing and in fact had not even been ordered so he took the measurements a second time. It was now the middle of June. I called Goedekers two weeks later to find out what was taking so long. No one called back until July to admit that the measurements had been lost yet again. They were calling to schedule someone to come out to take the measurements. Wait?didn't we do this in May and then again in June and now you are telling me that you have to do this a third time in July?! Do you know how to complete an appliance installation? Do you ever intend to do it? Your company has no respect for my home or my time - you just want my money. If anyone from Goedekers actually reads this, I hope you will understand that you are losing sales and customers because of your horrendous customer service.

My husband and I bought a king size mattress at one of Goedeker's sales. The purchase was straightforward, although it probably merits mention that the selection of mattresses in this appliance superstore is less than great. My issue is with delivery. I am always stunned by the "customer unfriendliness" of delivery policies where 1) the retailer specifies the delivery window, 2) the retailer waits until the night before to inform you when the delivery window will be, and 3) the retailer specifies what days of the week your zip code will be served. It's the kind of non-customer centric policy that one comes to associate with regulated monopolies, not retailers in a crowded competitive marketplace. Being a work-at-home professional who can't have interruptions unless scheduled in advance, I have to wonder... are ALL Goedeker customers stay at home homemakers? If you're not this flexible, plan to make your purchases elsewhere.

They advertised a price that was competitive with several other companies and they had the product that I wanted. One of the things that drew me in was they said they were a Christian founded organization that has been around for many years. They also will keep you informed of when your product becomes available, ships, and provide tracking information once it is shipped. I never received any information until the night before they were due to deliver the unit. I ordered it on 2/17/2013 and I received a call for delivery on 3/4/2013.It was a weeknight and when I questioned if we could we schedule for another day, they weren’t able to give me an exact day and it could be several weeks out. They showed up at 8:30am as I was on my way out the door. This is my only complaint with them. It would have taken them no effort for them to at least send me an email of the progress for the shipment. I felt that it was rude and inconsiderate on the way that they handled this. I would be real reluctant to do business with them again unless they have a very great price on what I’m looking for and then I would do so with the expectation that I was going to sacrifice delivery notice in lieu for a good price.

It was a very poor experience especially since they claim to be such a Christian Organization. Do not believe them if they tell u sonething works
Description of Work: Bought a dryer on sale and they guarenteed that it was in working condition but refused to show us that it worked. They said we had to buy the cord and that they would not hook it up to one of theirs to show us. So when we plugged it in it did not work and although it was under warrantee and the manufacturer did fix it after 3 weeks of waiting on parts. When i called and talked to the manager of goedekers he was rude and snotty and refused to help! e

The last item to go in our gutted kitchen was the gas cook top and slide in oven under the counter. Our sales guy Rex gave us a choice of a few cook tops that he said would work with the oven. We picked a Dacor unit. It turns out no cook top will work with our oven....his words...his afternoon! When we had trouble I called Rex twice for advice....no calls returned so I went into the showroom. He said he would need to do some research. He called back this afternoon and told us no cook top will work with the oven unless we want to rebuild/lower the opening and modify the standard method. I asked who should pay for the extra labor and he said not him. I gave them a complete set of plans of our kitchen, a 3D rendering and blue prints when we were picking out appliances. Now he said we should have had a site survey but did not mention it at the time of purchase. He said their people would have gotten it right but he did not figure out until this afternoon that the oven would not work. He didn't know, the instructions were followed to a T so how could anybody build it right? Goedekers saw the plans and advised us what would work and now they have no responsibly. They got smurks on their face when they said it was my problem. So the next time you see 'ol Steve say they are "closed on Sunday, the Lords day" keep in mind how they stand behind what the sell! PS - The fridge has had two service calls and the dish washer just stopped on the second run, both GE Profile.
Description of Work: We bought a house and gutted the kitchen an took the wall between the kitchen and family room out. Plans were drawn by a professional and given to our salesman Rex, both a 3D rendering and blue prints. We were advised as to which appliances would fit our plan. We bought GE Profie oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and a Dacor cook top. This was about $6500 worth of appliances.

We went to another company and didn’t see anything we liked, but Goedeker's Super Store has all high end brands. We found a refrigerator and got a good deal on that. We also found a washer and dryer, which the other company didn’t have. We are very happy with our purchases. They did promise us free years’ worth of tide, which they didn’t give us and when we asked about it we were given a rear end. The guy who sold us was not even working there when we went back and I am not blaming Goedeker's Super Store. We will continue to use them in the future.

Initially shopped at Lowe's and Best Buy but wanted to support a local vendor, so we ended up at Goedeker's. The showroom was conveniently located and the salesman was fairly knowledgeable about the product. After some negotiating, we agreed on a package price for the microwave, its trim kit, and wall-mounted installation. The unit was out of stock and we were told that it would take no more than a week to arrive. The unit finally arrived after more than 2 weeks. We then agreed on a mutually convenient installation date. When the installers arrived, I was told that installation would be more complex than originally anticipated and that it would cost $180. The actual installation was not complicated and took less than 1/2 hour, yet there was no break on the original price. They left a large gap between my existing wall oven and new microwave and promised to return once they had manufactured an additional trim piece (for an additional charge) for the space. Goedeker's never called back, nor did they return two of my phone calls. Two and one-half months later, I am still waiting to hear from them. I have since purchased appliances from another competitor and as such, learned that Goedeker's had grossly overcharged me for the initial installation.

It went fine. Actually, when we went back to purchase the ottoman, they had raised the price from $247 to $297, and we said, the last time we were here it was $247, and she said, "no problem, I'll give it to you at that price." When we went to check out, when they were going to order it and set up delivery, I said, "gee, is there any chance at all that I could take the one on the floor home?" She went and talked to her boss and said sure, so we put it in the car and took it home. They really worked with us.

This was an extremely frustrating experience. I had researched my purchase and knew in advance what brand and model I wanted. Because this company was local, was listed as an authorized KitchenAid dealer, and offered a competitive price, I decided to use them as opposed to a "big-box" retailer. They were more than prompt in taking my credit card information by phone, and charged the full purchase price before they would order the oven. Within a few days, an installer came to the house to measure the wall space and ensure compatibility. Then the trouble began. As our existing oven was non-functional, installation as soon as possible was desired. The salesman told me that the oven would be available in 2-3 days, and that he would go ahead and schedule installation for the end of that week, anticipating its arrival. When I tried to confirm the arrival of the oven, the salesman would never return my calls. Multiple calls to the store resulted in "he's with a customer" and no communication with anyone who could check on the status of the oven. Finally, two days before the (supposedly) scheduled installation, someone confirmed that the oven had arrived at the store. They told me that the salesman had never scheduled the installation however. I asked them to please work this out, as I had already planned my work schedule based upon the promised installation date. The day before the anticipated installation, someone from the store left me a voicemail stating that I was now on the schedule, and that I would recieve a call that night to confirm the time frame of installation the next day. No call. I called the store 10 minutes before closing that night, and yet another person stated that I was not on the installation schedule. They then indicated that the oven was not there, then, when pressed, changed their mind. After stating that I was promised installation the next day, they said they would have the salesman call me first thing in the morning. No call. I called the store and they stated they could not install until the following week. After pressing them on their poor service, the owner apparently agreed to add us to the installation schedule at the end of the day. This occurred well into the evening, and the installers were obviously not pleased. Job was done satisfactorily, but hurriedly and without clean-up. Salesman never returned calls or contacted me after the initial sale. In summary, poor communication at store and with customer, and poor service.

Great. He listened and made good suggestions. We ordered the appliances and they were delivered on time. Our installer had a few questions as he prepared the cabinets and Keith called back immediately with the answers.
Description of Work: We described our existing appliances and space limitations. We expressed our desire to have a built in microwave, warming drawer and electric oven. Keith took all the specs and showed us the available units. He worked out the spacers and color covers, etc.

I HAD SHOPPED SEVERAL STORES THAT CARRIED THE BRAND I WAS LOOKING FOR. ALL OF THEM "SAID " THEY WOULD GLADLY SPECIAL ORDER FABRICS TO MATCH MY CHAIR, BUT WHEN IT CAME TIME TO DO THIS, THEY ALL BACKED UP AND TRIED TO TALK ME INTO WHATEVER THEY HAD IN STOCK. KEITH NOT ONLY FOUND A GREAT SOFA FOR ME (A STYLE I HAD NOT SEEN BEFORE) , BUT HE WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO SPECIAL ORDER IT IN FABRIC TO MATCH MY CHAIR. HE TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 8 WEEKS TO GET THE SOFA. IT TOOK 8 WEEKS AND 1 DAY FOR THE SOFA TO BE DELIVERED TO MY HOUSE. THE DELIVERY GUYS WERE GREAT. THEY HAULED OUT MY OLD SOFA (WHICH WAS INCLUDED IN THE DELIVERY FEE) AND SET UP MY NEW SOFA JUST WHERE I WANTED IT. I HAD MY DOUBTS ABOUT SPECIAL ORDERING FURNITURE AND WAITING FOR IT, BUT I'M GLAD I DID. I AM NOW LOOKING FOR A NEW RECLINER, AND I WILL GO BACK TO GOEDEKER'S TO FIND IT WITH NO WORRY THAT IF THEY DON'T HAVE EXACTLY WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR, THEY WILL ORDER IT FOR ME.

I have a very expensive dishwasher that has had a terrible smell inside since installation. I was initally told it was just a new smell that would go away. It has not. I have called and called and tried putting Tang and vinegar in it as instructed by Goedeker salespeople and BOSCH. No change. The service company sent a repair person, He too smelled it and stated he had never smelled such a smell in a dishwasher. Now I am trying to get Goedekers to do something. They do not return calls. This is a nightmare. Angie's list please help me. I want them to pick this dishwasher up and give me my money back.

TERRIBLE! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH AN APPLIANCE STORE. THE SALES SERVICE AND DELIVERY ARE HORRIFIC. WE ORDERED 5 APPLIANCES AND THERE WERE MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH ALL OF THEM. THE SERVICE IS WORSE THAN BAD AND THE STAFF IS UNRESPONSIVE. DO NOT USE THIS STORE.

I was reluctant to use this store because of a previous unpleasant experience, however I encountered Mr. Zinna who was cooperative and willing to work with me. He offered very competitive pricing on stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances including a dual fuel range, over the range microwave, refrigerator with bottom mount freezer and dishwasher. Some confusion ensued regarding availability of the product which I thought would be a deal breaker, but Mr. Zinna pursued this with great energy, and in fact, the appliances were ready before the contractors were ready to install. In addition, since I purchased four appliances, I received an additional $500 rebate from the manufacturer. I give him very high marks for his efforts on this transaction.
