The Cleaning Authority - St. Charles

It started out good. I even recommended them to friends. After a couple months it went downhill fast. One thing is the house does not smell clean when you come home. They use hydrogen peroxide I think to clean. Your toilets develop a ring after a few days. We have had opur house cleaned for years by others and our last person we loved retired. Since The Cleaning authority took over our bathrooms toilets started getting rings and water stains on the inside after a few days-never had a issue before .We have a nice all tile shower where we leave the door open when done to and run exhaust fan when in shower. Our nice tile shower was never cleaned properly and mold developed across entire bottom and running up inside corners, again never had this happen before this. I called the Office manager who by the way has a very arrogant take it or leave it attitude when you speak with her. I told her the issue and she had the Owner call me. He basically said it was my fault because he found a seldom used squeegee hanging and saw mold on it which basically told me they never cleaned that either. he basically went on to tellme "He has 700 customers and he has never had a complaint." He instructed me that i needed to get it recaulked and that the mold was behind the caulk and they had nothing to do with it. We have epoxy grout and have very little caulk and we basically don't need it all but they did it anyway when we built the house . I let it go and didn't pursue it as I could see I wasn't getting anywhere. I was not asking for money just that they let it happen and I expected to fix it. Not happening! I continued on to see if things would improve, they did not. I had to have them come back 2 or three times. One time they completely forgot to clean the bathroom. The other time I came home and the laundry room sink was filthy with debris laying in from when we landscaped outside and washed our hands. Bottom line is they have a arrogant person as an Office Manager(Family Friend) and they also have a hard time accepting they cause any damage.

They're on Angie's List. They come every two weeks. It's kind of iffy. They're not good in their cleaning. They could be a little more thorough.

While I appreciated their services initially. They ruined my Bruce Hardwood floors. I always left the Bruce Hardwood floor cleaner out for them to use. However , my floors rapidly deteriorated in appearance. It became clear they were using water instead of the cleaner. I never saw anyone else's floors deteriorate like mine until I walked into a new friends house. Her floors looked as bad as mine. Turns out hers deteriorated while using The Cleaning Authority also.

The Cleaning Authority are reasonable. They get back with me and the house cleaners are on time. They are here when they are say they are going to be here and I get a reminder notice the business day before.

During each service, two women cleaned our home in a thorough and timely manner. Sue, who is very efficient and courteous, has cleaned our home since beginning the company's service.

I am so please with The St. Charles Cleaning Authority! Initially, I was skeptical about having a team come into my house since I had only experienced a cleaning lady previously. Wow! These teams are very well trained, efficient, and extremely friendly. Best of all, each team has a different flair... it's fun to come to a clean home and see their special touch on maybe how the bath towels are hung, or how the toilet paper end is tucked, a pattern vacuumed on the ultra suede sectional, or their creative arrangements of the decorative pillows on the bed. Sue, Co-Owner, was very professional and efficient when she came out for the the estimate. Kathy sends me a friendly email reminder the day prior to their visit to let me know about when the team will arrive. Melinda, the Quality Coach, will occasionally pop in on clean day to check on the team's performance. After a The St. Charles Cleaning Authority visit, my husband, the kids, the dog, the house and I all say "Ahhhhhhhh! That's nice!"

The girls are very cordial and do good job.

Repeatedly did not do a good job of cleaning. Had to call company to bring second team to clean behind first. Not clean after finishing on subsequent visits (dust, floors). Originally found company as advertised in Angie's List periodic publication. Very disappointed.

We are now on the 3rd monthly cleaning. Since we have experienced 3 different cleaning crews the results varried. The 2nd crew did an excellent job, the first and 3rd visits were still good. We will continue with their monthly service.in

The Cleaning Authority has cleaned my hjouse now 4 times. I like the fact that the first 2 cleanings were more in depth. Subsequent cleanings rotate through the house and do more extensive cleanings in a partiicular area. The crew that cleans my house have been great. They have been working with me to accomplish the things I want for my house.

The workers are friendly and courteous, and they do a fairly thorough job when cleaning.

They did an OK job. They did not dust the floor between the slats of the stairway.

I have used The Cleaning Authority for nearly 2 years. They are always prompt and dependable, and they confirm appointments in advance which I really appreciate. The only slight downside is that the same people haven't been doing the cleaning, but I am happy overall with the service.

The office has great communication with its clients, and the ladies who clean the house do an excellent job. They use green products and really cater to my needs and wants.

I have been very pleased with the company. They call ahead to confirm appointments, they show on time, and they do very thorough work.

They were very punctual and arrived exactly when they said they would. They are not very thorough. They do not do as good a job as another company I previously used. They didn?t do the obvious cleaning tasks. They didn?t wipe off the top of my kitchen refrigerator. They put the tray back into the microwave and I had thought it was broken when it wouldn?t turn right. On the first visit, they charge a larger fee of $170 for a first deep cleaning, but there was no deep cleaning. I am going to try them one more time before I decide if I am going to cancel their services. Updated 3/4/2013: I spoke to soon, there was a just a learning curve. The supervisor has come out to my home any time I've had a complaint and they will try to come out the same day if they can. They have learned my house and have gone out of their way to make sure I'm delighted. They are never late and I'm very happy with their service.

I have had a good experience with them. They do a good job. I used them about 2 months this year and about 4 months last year. I think the price is a little high, but I really don't know because I didn't do any comparison. I don't really know what the other people charge. The quality of work is good. Their responsiveness is very good. I would use them in the future.

I have used other various companies and they have really disappointed us with their lack of respect and professionalism. We trust them and we have provided them a house key to come and work when we need them too. They are bonded and we have no worries when they are in the home. They are flexible and are able to take our requests and suggestions. The workers are mostly college students. We appreciate their service and will use them again in the future.
