+ -1 moreInstallers arrived within the expected window (9 am), and finished by 5:30 pm. It did not look exactly like I thought it would (but I'm no expert on how insulation should look). They were clean and did not track insulation everywhere which was nice. They freely made sure the rest of the attic was sealed as much as possible, providing extra materials to do so. Update as of 10/19/2017: After I posted my review, the owner (Chris) reached out to me to try to make sure I was completely satisfied with the work done. Chis personally came out to inspect the work that was done and agreed that it could be improved upon. We then scheduled a second visit, where they installed more radiant barrier, as well as some foam boards to help limit air flow. They were again on time and very clean, making sure to shop-vac everything up before leaving Everything seemed much better after the second visit, and I am very satisfied with the work done. They performed this extra work without any extra cost, which was greatly appreciated.
Description of Work: Insulation installation done for a bungalow style remodeled house. I personally removed the old insulation, and St. Louis Insulation installed the new insulation. They installed a radiant barrier, an air wrap, as well as blown in insulation. Update as of 10/19/2017: On the second installation, they installed more radiant barrier as well as foam boards.

Most importantly, however, they identified that there was a gap between floors in our house, and proposed a solution that has helped tremendously. The other company that provided an estimate was not as thorough and they missed that issue. Thanks guys.

+ -1 moreChris (owner) did estimate, and was extremely knowledgeable (Has spent a number of years in attic areas). Identified ventilation flow problem, and ultimate saved expense of installing attic ventilation fan. Also identified shortage as well as oversights in proper installation in original construction. Installation crew did work as per described in quotation. House overall appears to be cooler, but will have to evaluate utility bills overtime as related to payback. Expectation of longer roof shingle life due to optimizing ventilation (triple laminate roof). Only company in Angie's top rated that specializes in insulation vs others addressing 2-3 other disciplines with insulation as added service. Always felt that I was being serviced with integrity, and that appropriate amount of quality materials were being provided. High rating deserved.
Description of Work: Add soffit ventilation (holes drilled as original builder literally supplied none) with varmint screens, formed air chutes, and additional R18 of blown fiberglass insulation to attic plus corrected some other issues not addressed when home was originally built.

+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job. The insulation was installed in one day. Then they had to wait on putting in the ridge vent until it stopped raining, but they put it in as soon as the weather cleared. The employees really seem to care about the quality of the job they do.

The St. Louis Insulation project team was great. Zach, Joe, and Elijah did a great job. They were professional, courteous, and cleaned up the work site upon job completion.
Description of Work: I wanted the following projects done to make my home more energy efficient and increase the comfort level of my second story. 1. Needed ban boards, cantilevers, and top of foundation sealed with 2" closed cell high density spray foam. 2. + -1 moreI couldn't have asked for better service. They came out to give an estimate and really explained their approach. When the day came for service, they were prompt and incredibly hard working. They did a great job, working well into a Friday evening. Then, when I discovered that the new insulation had messed up a ceiling fixture in the room below, they came back immediately to fix it. I rarely write reviews, but these guys deserve a great one.
Description of Work: The insulation in 90-year old house was insufficient and had been ruined by bats. I needed it all removed and replaced. It was a really big project.
